Week 11 – The Final Day of Group Training
Jang Hye-yeon had endured Kang-jun for an entire weekend. It wasn’t just about staying awake and sleeping; her body had simply refused to last. He was a monster of stamina. He crushed her without mercy, even though she had spent years training to become her aunt’s successor. She never imagined that someone her own age could destroy her with the strength she once took for granted.
*I’ll just hold on until this week is over… I can endure it. Just until the weekend passes.*
She gritted her teeth however she could and waited for the weekend to end. Next week, Kang-jun was scheduled to return to the Hero Branch anyway.
In this fragile hope, Monday morning arrived.
Even so, she was looking forward to it. Kang-jun would leave, and she would finally have her aunt’s undivided love again.
But during breakfast, she heard a sentence that struck her like lightning.
“Looks like I’ll stay one more week.”
“…Huh?”
“I specifically requested it from the branch chief. I’m teaching the final week of collective training myself. …Since that’s what he decided, I’ll just have to do it. If I’m going to be forced, I’ll be forced.”
Jang Hye-yeon’s appetite vanished. She chewed the food in her mouth, but it tasted like gravel. …In truth, genuine fear gripped her.
She would have to endure another full week? How? How was she supposed to survive that? Why was this bastard’s sex drive so absurdly strong? Or was she simply incapable?
She swallowed with difficulty and set her spoon down. Jang Hwa-young noticed her gloomy face and asked what was wrong.
“Ah, nothing. My stomach feels a little unsettled.”
“Auntie, bring me some water and medicine.”
Jang Hye-yeon accepted it and retreated to her room. She collapsed face-first onto the bed. Her head was in chaos.
As expected, that night, the next night, and the night after that, Kang-jun came looking for her without pause. …All she could do was endure the pleasure of being pounded relentlessly while clenching her teeth.
*He’s tougher than I thought.*
Kang-jun had known she was a hard woman, but he confirmed that she was even harder. Just like her aunt, who could take a knife to the stomach and still endure. She had been rough with her these past few days, yet she hadn’t given up. …If she’d had her way, he would have wanted to break her completely, but he held back. He knew it might backfire.
*She’s not important anyway.*
The real target was Jang Hwa-young. This niece was nothing more than a gateway to creating a pregnancy excuse. Excessive attachment to a woman who was only passing through could become poison.
Still, she had definitely enjoyed it. The way she bit her lip and gritted her teeth, refusing to yield, and then looked proud when she managed to hold on to the end—it was satisfying to watch. He wondered what her expression would become if she knew he had held back from pounding her a few more times.
The final week of collective training came to an end anyway.
Kang-jun felt the time had been meaningful. The relationship with Jang Hwa-young was one thing, but the lessons learned through sparring with her were not bad. Though he had swung the sword for quite some time, true learning never truly ends. It is the endless process of perfecting oneself by correcting small mistakes.
The moment he arrived at the branch, he received a summons from the chief and headed to the chief’s office. With his hair still half-bald, the chief greeted him as soon as he saw him and asked with fake friendliness if he was comfortable and if he’d had a good time.
He was probably trying to leave a mark on Kang-jun, who had firmly backed Jang Hwa-young. …Of course, he didn’t want to incur the wrath of someone at the chief’s level, so Kang-jun joined the act with appropriate responses.
The instant he returned, he received his discharge order and began packing. Because he had been absent for two weeks, his relationship with his teammates had become awkward again, as if they had just met. But Kang-jun had no interest in them anyway, so he didn’t care.
He received messages simultaneously from his manager and from Belita. He replied to the manager that he could go since there was a promise, and she sent back a confirmation.
He watched the van roar away, its corner turning sharply out of sight.
Kang-jun called Belita.
One ring. She answered immediately.
— Yeah, you’re out?
“I’m leaving.”
— I’ll wait right in front.
“Got it.”
He ended the call and stepped out of the branch. She was already there, beautifully dressed, lips long and bright red. Like a model, she stood waiting, fiddling with her hair, clearly unable to contain her joy.
“I heard you stayed at the senior’s estate.”
“Yeah. …Let’s get in the car. There are a lot of eyes.”
“Okay.”
On the way, though, he ran into an old acquaintance. Natasha Moskovskaya, the female warrior. She was one of the Spy Princess members and quickly recognized Belita. She had even been in charge of Belita’s close-training during the third week of collective training. …It was a deliberate move to see Kang-jun, but it got tangled because he was heading to Jang Hwa-young.
“Auntie.”
“Yeah, yeah. Natasha. …Long time no see.”
Belita’s eyes darted, as if she had let something slip. Natasha’s gaze briefly met Kang-jun’s before falling away. Belita quickly tried to cover it.
“Sorry, I’m really busy right now. Let’s talk later, okay?”
“Yes, Auntie. Please be careful.”
Natasha, who wasn’t stupid, bowed her head and left quickly. Belita let out a long sigh.
Kang-jun smiled crookedly and whispered, “If word gets out, what then, our Belita.”
Belita pouted but said nothing. They soon climbed into the car.
The second he got in, Kang-jun casually rested his hand on her breast and kneaded it without shame. She didn’t resist; she simply stayed still.
“Why did you come? In broad daylight.”
“Because you got discharged today.”
“So what does that have to do with this?”
“Just wanted to bring you home.”
“Of course I could have brought you from the company. You didn’t have to come yourself.”
Kang-jun said it with mocking sweetness. Of course Belita knew he was deliberately taunting her. Right now, though, she was in a weak position. …Honestly, she was dying to suck his dick right then. But she was afraid that if she became so public, he might start treating her that way.
“I just wanted to talk. It’s been a while since we last met.”
Belita acted casual and stepped on the accelerator. The sedan rolled smoothly along the road.
“You could have done this over the phone. Why bother?”
“I wanted to see your face too. …Doesn’t that count?”
“No, it’s not that it’s not allowed.”
Kang-jun removed his hand from her chest and leaned back deeply. Belita felt around for a topic. She had planned everything in advance, but now her mind was blank.
“Shall we go eat?”
Kang-jun didn’t answer. Belita worried she had messed up.
“Maybe… did I do something wrong? Sorry if I did.”
“Hey.”
“Yeah?”
“Just say it. You want sex.”
Belita gripped the steering wheel tightly, lips pressed shut. She knew his directness well. …Still, she found it embarrassing to say it herself. The shame of being rejected was too much for her to bear.
“I don’t like being strung along.”
“I’m not stringing you along. It’s true.”
“So?”
“Just… meeting up, eating, having coffee….”
“And then sex?”
“It’s not for that purpose! Don’t think of it that way.”
…Actually, it was the main purpose. If he said he wanted sex, she would have turned the car straight home. …Of course, how would she say it so bluntly?
“Yeah? …Then let’s go to the hotel today. I’m a little tired.”
…Ah. Belita’s mouth fell open slightly. Exhaustion slammed into her.
“I was going to do it if you asked, but you said it wasn’t for that purpose… I saw your face on the way. It’s perfect.”
You bastard. Belita knew Kang-jun was toying with her. He had limits to his arrogance, but this was crossing the line. Still, she had pride she refused to lose.
“…Fine. I’ll take you straight to the hotel.”
“You’re angry?”
“No. I’m not angry at all. Since I’m not angry, I’ll take you. Right?!”
Belita’s throat felt tight. Her eyes kept blinking as if something had entered them. The tip of her nose stung. Bastard. Son of a bitch. I’m calling you back twice. You fucking bastard. Unlucky bastard. Son of a bitch. You bastard….
They rode in silence until they reached the hotel.
They arrived in front of Kang-jun’s team house.
“Go quickly.”
“…You’re angry.”
“No, I’m not angry! I said go quickly!”
Belita turned her head away and clamped her mouth shut. Kang-jun got out, saying he was leaving. The sound of the door closing echoed.
Belita looked back at him. She had hoped he would come back. …But he never turned around.
She slammed her fist on the steering wheel. Anger welled up, then a tear fell. No, why the hell am I crying because of that bastard! She quickly wiped her eyes with her sleeve and sped away.
“Yeah, you bastard. I’ll forget. I can forget. Why do I have to be this desperate because of you? Huh? Why me? Why meeee!”
Belita screamed like a madwoman and ended with a full-throated wail.
“There are plenty of good men! You bastard! So what if it’s just one fuck? That’s expensive? You son of a bitch! You bastard!”
BRRRRAAAAAANG! A rude honk from the next car.
She rolled down the window and shouted at the horn-blowing vehicle.
“You bastard, drive straight! You fucking bastard! Die in an accident, you son of a bitch!”
Her chest felt lighter now. Ahhh, ahhh.
She pulled over to the shoulder and furiously typed on her phone. She wrote in the private Spy Princess chat.
— Everyone come out. Let’s have fun today.
— Oh wow, what’s up lol are you back to nun mode?
— Bullshit. Hurry up, you bitches.
— I have a date with my crush today. Sorry. Go play yourselves lol
— Send a photo of your crush lol
— Ah you’ll just filter it anyway
— I won’t, really
— Really?
— Ah, so I really got played
A photo appeared. It was apparently taken from an angle, but it was nowhere near as good as Kang-jun. The moment she saw his face, Belita scribbled over the unfiltered content.
— Ah, he’s so fucking hot lol
— Hey, I’ll die
— lol lol how much money does he have?
— He’s the president’s son
— Well done lol is this gonna last long?
— I don’t know. I’ll meet him first and decide
Belita’s mind drifted off for a moment, forgetting Kang-jun. All except one member going on a date with her crush agreed to meet.
An hour later, the three of them headed straight to a bar. They had intended to go to a club while still slightly drunk, but Belita ended up getting drunk just sipping. …Who knew this would become her worst black memory.
“Hwooeeeng, you bastard…”
Belita sobbed pathetically. The other two members laughed while recording her with their phones.
“I, I took such good care of her…”
“How?”
“I don’t know, I don’t know, hwooeeeng.”
Mascara-streaked tears rolled down her cheeks. Even crying ugly, she couldn’t look that ugly. The two of them later laughed and said they would send it to the bitch.
“Ugh, will sending it make her come? She will, right? She’ll come. Right? I’m Belita. Men line up for me, you know.”
“Send it. Send it.”
They urged her to send it quickly. Belita finally sent it, unable to resist. …And there was no reply.
Hwaaaang, you bastard…
The next day, when Belita woke up, shame washed over her as she remembered her own grotesque performance.
She buried her face in her pillow, mortified.
