Chapter 27. Wanted (2)
The 2nd team woke up early and had a solid breakfast at the hotel before setting off toward the 58th district.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Wang Sian quickly scanned the files again, wondering if anything had been missed.
The bastard's criminal record was spectacular—assault, rape, and everything tied to drugs. The reason he'd been kicked out of the 10th Labyrinth Team was purely the drugs. You couldn't stir up the whole pot over just one rotten apple.
That's why last night Kang-jun had suggested treating them like a drug surveillance team instead. It made sense; those kinds of scumbags were always suspicious, so luring them in that direction was the smarter play.
“Everyone remember what we said last night?”
Kang-jun, gripping the wheel and roaring down the road, tossed the line out casually. Everyone nodded like they already knew exactly what he meant.
“Clean it up in one shot. No loose ends.”
Of course he'd started this knowing it was mainly to win Wang Gang's approval, but Kang-jun didn't want to drag it out twice or three times. Coming this far in the first place was already a pain in the ass. He had enough shit to deal with anyway.
Wang Sian called the 55th branch right away. “Prepare a vehicle to transport the wanted man to the 58th district.”
The 2nd team rolled into the 58th district around 10:30 in the morning. He was currently operating as the leader of a private Labyrinth Team and lived in their team house with the others. Kang-jun didn't head straight for the residence. He circled the block once, just to check. Plenty of escape routes if anyone spotted them from inside.
Even if the walls were high, Isaac's level of skill would let him leap over in a single bound. Jumping from the third or fourth floor would be nothing.
So Kang-jun had split the team into two squads—1st Squad with himself and Belita, 2nd Squad with Wang Sian and Peter.
The 1st Squad would go in; the 2nd would hang back and cover for any escape attempts. Belita's lower speed and stamina made her unsuitable for pursuit, and suppressing a high-level opponent would need Kang-jun himself. Everyone accepted his reasoning without complaint.
Wang Sian confirmed the support vehicle was waiting near the 55th branch and gave the order to begin operations.
1st Squad—Kang-jun and Belita—moved in toward the team house.

Ahh, ahh, ugh, ahh—
Isaac was yanking the young woman's ponytail hard, thrusting his hips with real effort. Her arms, her ass, everywhere were covered in fresh red marks.
“Fuck, you slut, you fucking bitch, this pussy feels good, huh.”
The woman rolled her eyes in every direction, her voice hoarse as she cried out whatever he said. She'd already taken several drug injections; she wasn't in her right mind. Foam smeared the corners of her mouth.
Just as he was lost in the sex, there was a sharp knock at the door.
I, fuck— I told you to stay quiet!
Isaac ignored the knocking several times. But the sudden sound from outside finally made him freeze mid-thrust. The excited woman rubbed her hips side to side, begging him to keep going.
“What? Who's there?”
“The management company. We came for the contract.”
“Contract…? Who?”
“I don't know. But the girl said she'd kill you.”
Isaac's eyes lit up. If he could seduce her and bring her here, it might be worth it.
“Yeah? How much?”
“Ah, fuck, the second I saw her my dick got rock-hard.”
“…Fine. I'm coming out.”
The drugged woman whimpered as his cock slipped out, begging him to put it back in. Her hot body burned too hot; she started stabbing her own empty holes with her fingers.
Fuck, you slut—
Isaac kicked her with his foot. Thud. Thud. The impact made her chest heave; she collapsed forward, drooling and coughing.
He dressed and stepped outside. His burly teammates' eyes were already burning with lust.
“Is she pretty?”
“Fuck, we could keep her around for a whole month.”
“Yeah?”
Isaac was thrilled. He walked slowly toward the team house entrance. …But something felt off. That gut feeling that said this wasn't right. He'd never ignore a bad feeling. He'd committed too many sins for that.
“Hey, where'd you come from?”
“Management company.”
“Name?”
“I didn't ask.”
“Woman alone?”
“No, there's a man too.”
He stopped right there. The regular drug supplier wouldn't make house calls. The dates didn't even line up. The part about the girl killing him had thrown him off for a second.
“Big brother?”
“Buy us time. Fast.”
Isaac figured they were the drug surveillance team. He quickly ducked back into the room, wiped away the obvious drug traces, and dragged the woman to his brother's room. “You guys have fun, okay?” He wasn't taking the fucking woman himself.
Once the evidence was cleaned up, he continued walking toward the entrance.
Fuck these bastards, this place is shit—
At the front door he locked eyes with the woman's pretty face and her lithe body and immediately got hard. This was worth a full six months, not just a month. The subordinates' boast had been spot-on.
“Ah, I'm the team leader.”
“Isaac Wilshire?”
“Yes, that's me.”
Isaac studied the two of them carefully. For a drug surveillance team, the pair looked too healthy. They were probably deep in the drugs themselves. He had never seen a surveillance team this clean.
“Where are you from?”
Isaac forced his best friendly smile. The handsome man answered; the woman stood quietly like a lackey.
“Management company.”
“Where exactly?”
“Apple Management. Do you know it?”
“Apple? Yeah, I've heard of it.”
“Can I come in for a moment?”
Fuck—
Actually, “contract” was slang in this world. Mostly used by drug dealers, though surveillance teams had started using it more these days.
Of course not every surveillance team was the same. There were two types.
One looked the other way if you gave them just enough product. The other wanted to lock you up for real.
Seeing their faces were both decent, he figured they leaned toward the second group.
Normally he'd issue a cold order to clear the area, but the woman's body had him too worked up. Fuck, he really wanted to fuck her. If they were really trying to set a trap, he'd played right into their hands.
“Fine. Come in.”
The two followed him slowly into the living room.
Ahh, ahh—
Faint moans drifted from inside the team house. The leader laughed lightly.
“It's the weekend, so everyone's having sex. You understand, right?”
“Yeah, I get it.”
The woman's gaze kept wandering, looking embarrassed. That only made Isaac's chest stir more. Once he hooked on something, he never let go. His perverted habit had kicked in.
“Hey, make some good tea.”
“Yes, Team Leader.”
Isaac shot his big guy a meaningful look. “Good tea” was their secret code.
The tea that would knock you out after one sip.
“So, what exactly brought you here…?”
Ahh, ahh—
Isaac smiled slyly and rubbed his palms together. The handsome man crossed his legs and started talking.
“You have no idea what I'm talking about?”
“I heard about the contract earlier…”
“That's right.”
Ahh, ahh—
Soon three teacups appeared in front of each person. Isaac gestured for them to drink.
“It tastes good. Try it.”
Of course they didn't drink it. Fuck. Surveillance teams were surveillance teams. They'd obviously been taught not to accept drinks from strangers.
Ahh, ahh—
“Hey, keep the noise down.”
“Yes, Team Leader.”
The big guy cracked the door open a little. The room was already boiling inside. Three men were piled on top of one woman.
“Keep the noise down.”
“Got it.”
One man had his cock in the woman's mouth. Uhh. The moans finally stopped.
“Sorry, but I never received a call about making a contract.”
Isaac spoke cheerfully. The man's smile deepened. Isaac hated how fake it looked. He uncrossed his legs.
He felt a weird chill down his spine. …But still, something didn't feel right. These guys had no reason to prolong the act. The moment they stepped through the door they'd gone straight to business—blackmail or bribes.
What the hell? Who are they? Surveillance team?
Isaac's head spun. Years of criminal life had sharpened his instincts for spotting the bad stuff fast.
Then he caught a hint about the Hunter Team. No way. But the possibility was real. …He'd heard one of them had gone missing recently.
Disappearance after a successful hunt in a 2nd-rank Labyrinth? Impossible. If they were really unlucky, a few might have died, but the entire team vanishing could only mean they'd been discovered by the Hero Association.
Could it be… I got caught too?
Isaac's heart hammered. This was the most terrifying moment of his life. …Far scarier than the first time he'd joined the Hunter Team and hunted humans.
If they caught him, the minimum would be a life sentence. And even then, he'd only get partial credit if he snitched from inside. He'd never come back out alive. The Hero Association hid the full extent of the punishment, but everyone knew.
If this was real, he had to run. Only two people in front of him. Of course he had to assume there were more outside. The agents handling the Hunter Team weren't sloppy.
Isaac mapped his escape routes in seconds. If his hunch was wrong and they really were the drug surveillance team, it would almost be a favor. All he had to do was pay the price for running.
He took a sip of the tea while spreading mana outward. Sure enough, there were support people waiting outside.
“Don’t even think about running. I'll break your legs.”
—!!
The man suddenly said that. The burly guy's face turned ugly.
“No, you fucking bastard, where are you getting all this mouth from?”
“Hand yourself over quietly. Then I'll arrest you with all your limbs intact.”
The man had dropped the act.
“Fuck you, you bastard!”
Isaac slammed the table over and fired off a heavy mana blast at the same time. He immediately turned and leaped toward the living-room window. Glass shattered under his body as he prepared to clear the wall—!
—!!
A hand shot out and grabbed his ankle mid-air.
Isaac's vision spun. His body slammed into the wall with a CRASH. The impact cracked the plaster and sent debris flying everywhere.
—!!
The agony was so intense he couldn't even scream. His arm and shoulder bones felt shattered. A few ribs had snapped too.
“A, aaah!”
He collapsed on the floor, writhing in pain. The teammates came running out at the noise. All of them looked mean as hell.
“What the hell is going on?!”
The woman glared at them and shouted.
“1st-rank wanted criminal apprehension in progress. If you interfere, we'll stuff all of you in.”
Waving official power, the men froze and couldn't move freely.
The man grabbed Isaac's hair from behind, yanking him up as he lay there. His face was twisted in pain.
“You said you'd break my legs if I ran, didn't you?”
He snapped both his shins in a single motion.
AAAAAHHHHHH—
Isaac let out a scream that sounded like he was dying. The teammates' faces turned green.
“…Fuck, are you taking it too far?!”
“Shut your mouths. Before we lock you up for interfering.”
With that threat they all obeyed.
“Report outside. We've got him.”
“Yeah.”
The woman left. Two more men joined them.
“Wang Sian, call the support vehicle.”
Wang Sian dialed someone. A moment later, men in dark uniforms entered the team house. The teammates stood there like fish with their mouths open, watching silently.
The enforcers wrapped Isaac in reinforced steel wire and dragged him away. Kang-jun swept the fallen bangs off his forehead and dropped onto the sofa.
“What you all need to do is simple. Get every ounce of drugs. If you don't want to get tied to that bastard.”
The men stood there for a second, stunned.
“One, two, three. One, two—!”
They finally went into the rooms and confiscated every bit of drugs.
“Try hiding it and you'll get caught. One last chance. One, two—!”
They rushed back into the rooms again. More drugs were seized. Even the emergency stashes they might have hidden elsewhere were probably enough. After all, they weren't really a drug surveillance team.
“Confess whatever you know. The team leader is finished anyway. One more charge for drugs won't change anything.”
Everyone caught the meaning instantly. Kang-jun wanted them to flip on their boss and keep their mouths shut forever.
“Let's go.”
The enforcers soon returned and hauled away all the drugs, including the drugged woman.
In an instant the teammates lost everything and scattered in all directions.
