Prologue
Falling into a world utterly different from one's own is a fantasy anyone entertains at least once in their lifetime. Escaping the grinding monotony of everyday life, forging new bonds in unfamiliar places, and charting a fresh path ahead. Not just once, but time and again—whenever boredom struck, I'd indulge in it. There's nothing wrong or unnatural about it. Honestly, who wouldn't?
A realm where magic from wild imaginings comes alive. A world brimming with enigmatic wonders that unfold only in dreams. We keep such thoughts locked away simply because we know they're impossible, because we grasp just how utterly unrealistic they are.
So here's a question: What must it feel like to tumble into another world not once, but twice? Answers would vary from person to person, of course. But if it were me, I'd respond like this.
"....Fuck, is wanting to go home such an extravagant wish?"
Seventy years. The time I'd spent preparing, in a fantasy realm where swords and magic breathed, to return to Earth.
And now.
I'd fallen into a world that was neither home nor that fantasy land—a wholly new one. None other than the bizarre domain of a "Romance Fantasy."
