The New Host is Too Good
Kim Namhu asked Jo Su-hwan what had changed about him.
“I remember that you used to rely only on your face and didn’t have many other skills back then. What exactly has changed for you?”
Jo Su-hwan looked pleased, convinced that the man who recognized his growth was praising him.
“Well, a host basically gets paid to entertain a woman, right? I used to think that if I just flirted with a girl who already liked me, that was enough. But I realized it’s much more efficient to make a rich woman fall for me. After trying a few mediocre girls, I found out that the money a real high-spender gives is impossible to match. Haha.”
Kim Namhu nodded.
Jo Su-hwan had been right about the direction.
A host did need to earn a lot of money, and making one rich client love you was far better than taking money from a hundred average ones.
But his method was crude and clumsy.
*At least he shouldn’t be talking about female clients like that.*
You could like rich clients, but if you openly showed that you only liked rich ones, the rich clients wouldn’t want you.
And that attitude showed in every little thing he did in daily life.
He made mistakes at critical moments more often than not.
Even if you couldn’t give your absolute best to every client, pretending you did was important.
Kim Namhu had never really cared much about other hosts’ business at The Queen. Helping them out or giving advice once in a while was all he did.
He had no intention of teaching Jo Su-hwan anything after only seeing him a few times.
*But acting so superior is grating.*
Today was the day Kim Namhu and Jo Su-hwan would compete.
Watching his rival boast that he had already won before the match even started was unbearable.
“If you act like that, you’re going to end up with a big nose someday?”
“What?”
“Weren’t there already some clients complaining?”
“Ah, well, there were a few. Among the regulars. Girls who whined that I was neglecting them. But it doesn’t matter. After all, they’re just the ones who spread their legs for me anyway.”
Jo Su-hwan was completely mistaken right now.
Complaints from some clients were unavoidable.
It was impossible to please every single client’s tastes.
But if the same complaints kept coming and the cause wasn’t fixed, it would pile up and lead to total failure.
*This isn’t just more dangerous than in my previous life?*
And Jo Su-hwan didn’t seem to realize any of it.
He acted like he had already won before the game even started.
Kim Namhu stopped talking to him.
A big nose would only fall off Jo Su-hwan’s face.
The tense exchange lasted a moment longer before the female secretary entered the room.
“Please come this way.”
Jo Su-hwan left the room first, and Kim Namhu followed.
The two hosts walked inside the wide apartment under the female secretary’s guidance.
At the far end was a living room with a breathtaking view of the Han River at night.
The living room had been decorated for pure pleasure.
On one side of the room stood a bar, and in the center was a gigantic sofa big enough to double as a bed.
A woman sat on the sofa, admiring the glittering Han River skyline.
“The hosts have arrived.”
Hearing the secretary, the woman looked at Kim Namhu and Jo Su-hwan.
She was none other than Min Na-hee, the woman who had helped her prosecutor husband rise to power.
She was the Prosecutor General’s wife, yet she still wore the clinging dress of a former Ten-Pro hostess.
She had never given birth, and with money she had carefully maintained her figure, so she still possessed a slender waistline fit for a twenty-something.
She wore the revealing clothes to show it off.
As a former Ten-Pro girl, her hips and legs were perfect.
Her lower body was made to make men lose their minds.
And her breasts were large.
Kim Namhu could tell her breasts were not natural.
He had seen, touched, and tasted countless breasts.
It was nearly impossible for a woman with such a delicate body to have breasts that enormous.
Naturally, women with big breasts also developed their upper bodies along with them.
It was a natural growth process to support the expanding chest.
Min Na-hee’s face was also full of artificial beauty.
In one word, she was a Gangnam unnie.
Gangnam was the district where sex sales were the most active.
In that place, women lived in constant plastic surgery just to survive.
At first, when they received one or two surgeries, they kept their natural beauty, but the more they had, the more addicted they became.
And the more they did, the more their faces became similar.
Slightly protruding foreheads.
Sharp noses.
Heavy eyes.
Cheek dimples beneath the eyes.
V-shaped jawlines.
Men naturally started calling these women Gangnam unnies.
Min Na-hee was a perfect specimen of such a Gangnam unnie.
Though she looked around forty, thanks to all the medical technology, her skin was pulled tight and she maintained her youth.
She waved her hand for the two men to sit on either side of her.
“I know who you are from your looks. The good-looking one is Jo Su-hwan, and the lesser one is Kim Namhu. Sit on the right, Jo Su-hwan.”
Jo Su-hwan’s appearance was overwhelmingly superior.
In the first impression, almost no host could surpass him.
Jo Su-hwan poured a full glass of alcohol into the empty glass and handed it to Min Na-hee.
“Unnie, do we really need two men on such a perfect night?”
“What?”
Jo Su-hwan acted as if he had already won from the first impression.
“If we keep dragging things out, the party will be no fun. I’ll play with you, so you can just send the other one away.”
Jo Su-hwan seemed to truly believe he could make Min Na-hee enjoy herself with his skills.
He had an insatiable desire to climb higher as a host by winning the heart of the Prosecutor General’s wife.
Kim Namhu had come this far; he had no intention of losing now.
It wasn’t just about the money.
As a host, he hated losing to Jo Su-hwan.
“Then let’s do it separately.”
Min Na-hee finally looked at Kim Namhu.
“What do you mean?”
Her usual way of playing was simple.
Since the secretary had explained everything, she would just watch the two hosts desperately try to win her favor.
The sight of the two men fighting was her best entertainment.
She could drink well just by watching it.
Jo Su-hwan had already tried to remove one piece of her entertainment, and now Kim Namhu was proposing another.
“One host will entertain for about an hour first. Then the other host will entertain for an hour. Then you can choose who to spend the rest of the night with.”
From Min Na-hee’s perspective, having one piece of entertainment was better than none.
“I like it. Then, what is the host who is resting doing? Should I have him go into the room to rest?”
“Is that necessary? Just tell him to quietly stay in the corner.”
“Hmm. That sounds fun.”
Watching the two hosts openly fight was one thing, but taking turns showing off themselves one by one seemed even more enjoyable.
Besides, she wanted to see the expression of the host who was quietly staying in the corner change.
“Alright. Then who goes first?”
Kim Namhu answered first.
“I don’t mind.”
He had absolute confidence in his skills.
In his previous life, he had been the best host in South Korea.
If he couldn’t beat Jo Su-hwan here, there was no reason for him to keep living as a host.
Jo Su-hwan also showed confidence.
“I’ll go first.”
Min Na-hee asked the seemingly smarter Kim Namhu.
“Is there any advantage to going first or second?”
“If you have overwhelming skill, it doesn’t matter whether you go first or second. If you go first, you completely control the atmosphere, and no matter what the second person does, it won’t work. If you go second, you can use the first person’s mistake. You already know this better than anyone, don’t you?”
Min Na-hee smiled when she heard Kim Namhu’s last words.
“Your tongue moves very well. I thought you only knew how to fuck.”
“Tongues also work well on the bed.”
“If I hated that kind of talk, I wouldn’t be wearing such lewd clothes right now.”
With Kim Namhu’s skill, the atmosphere quickly shifted toward him.
Jo Su-hwan didn’t seem to understand what was happening.
This was connected to Min Na-hee’s past.
Min Na-hee was a woman from Ten-Pro who had successfully married a prosecutor.
Marrying a successful man.
It was a dream for women in the entertainment world, and extremely difficult to achieve.
In Ten-Pro, meeting a successful man was easy, but those men only came for one-night stands.
Successful men were not fools, and they had no intention of marrying the woman from Ten-Pro they met.
They played happily when having fun, but they always knew the difference in position between men and women.
But Min Na-hee had succeeded.
She met a prosecutor husband and lived as the prosecutor’s wife for life.
Most women like her hid their past.
And if you tried to dig up the past, they got angry.
The line Kim Namhu had said, “You already know this better than anyone,” could have caused a huge storm.
