Gangnam
Kim Namhu moved to take another look at the Choice.
His face, which had earned the attention of celebrity-level Jo Su-hwan and the newcomer Kim Namhu, meant he had a high chance of being chosen alongside the woman guest.
The two of them sat beside the female client.
They simply asked questions and raised the atmosphere of the drinking session.
Then, as the two women guests rose from their seats to go to the restroom for a moment, the room was left with only Jo Su-hwan and Kim Namhu.
Cha Ji-hoon spoke to Kim Namhu.
“It looks good on you. I wish I could go for a Secondary Outing with you.”
Kim Namhu glanced at Cha Ji-hoon and replied.
“Have you been starving for a long time?”
It was one reason hosts worked—because sex was easy.
But Kim Namhu had a clear distinction between before and after.
Hosts who knew how to satisfy the woman guest had more opportunities for good sex.
The ones who became hosts just to have sex wouldn’t last long.
In the end, what mattered to a host was the woman guest.
Not the sex itself.
Women had an instinct that could sense men approaching them with overwhelming sexual desire and keep them at a distance.
“I’ve been starving for a long time. I haven’t masturbated since the last time I had sex.”
That made sense.
With a face like that, any decent woman could be taken straight to a motel.
“But there’s no long-term regular customer, right?”
Even so, women had a time limit for how long they would meet a man just because of his face.
It was like the common saying that first impressions usually faded after three months.
A handsome face made it easy to meet women, but lasting good relationships required far more than looks.
Unless the woman was insane and only cared about the face, it was almost impossible to make someone a regular customer for more than three months just on appearances.
Especially the women who came to Gangnam host bars had already met plenty of handsome men.
Cha Ji-hoon was constantly creating new regular customers to compensate for the fact that previous ones weren’t looking for him anymore.
Kim Namhu sharply pointed this out, and Cha Ji-hoon flinched.
He tried to shift the subject.
“I’ll just flirt a little and head for a Secondary Outing.”
Kim Namhu didn’t feel Cha Ji-hoon was worth competing with anymore.
So, when he closed his mouth, Cha Ji-hoon grinned as if he had won the battle of wits.
“Does Mr. Namhu have no libido? No, isn’t it normal for a real man to want to try a beautiful woman once he sees her?”
Kim Namhu ignored the fool who couldn’t separate duty from desire.
He was a man with libido.
But he was also an adult who had to earn money, and he knew what mattered.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you ignoring me? As a host, you should be able to talk no matter the situation. Mr. Namhu has a lot to learn.”
It was the funniest nonsense he had heard in a long time.
Kim Namhu couldn’t hold back his laughter.
“Is there no senior at the Main Stage teaching things like this? If you have any sense, come over here. People should play in big waters.”
Cha Ji-hoon kept talking by himself, clearly believing he had won completely.
Kim Namhu just found it ridiculous.
This kind of person should be kept at a maximum distance. If I had known there were people like this, I wouldn’t have come for help.
There were good people and bad people in the world.
The easiest way to succeed was to keep the good ones close and cut the bad ones off quickly.
Cha Ji-hoon was the kind of person to keep far away.
Then the two women guests came back into the room.
Cha Ji-hoon smiled broadly as he openly tried to pull in the woman guest, clearly wanting to show off his skills.
“It’s not fun just drinking and playing today, right? What are you going to do after drinking?”
Each host had different ways of seducing the woman guest.
Among them, Cha Ji-hoon didn’t need any special method.
Most women his age would be hooked by his appearance and come over just because he showed interest.
He didn’t know about long-term relationships, but his looks were a powerful weapon at first sight.
Cha Ji-hoon used basic pickup lines.
“It’s so rare to see such a beautiful client. It feels like time is slipping by.”
He praised her while trying to stir her up.
He kept saying he only did this to the woman in front of him, not to others.
Any woman who had spent enough time at a host bar would notice the trick.
But women who were swayed by Cha Ji-hoon’s looks wouldn’t see through it.
“Are you going to play outside with me?”
“Outside? What are we going to do?”
“We can watch a movie. We can even go to another bar.”
Cha Ji-hoon’s goal was purely the motel.
But he had enough sense to know that if he directly suggested going for sex, the woman would likely refuse.
Kim Namhu watched and thought Cha Ji-hoon wasn’t completely stupid.
His approach wasn’t the kind Kim Namhu liked.
But Cha Ji-hoon’s way was clearly working.
Kim Namhu didn’t know if he realized it, but his looks and simple style created a good synergy.
There was, however, an unexpected obstacle.
The woman guest who was with Kim Namhu.
This woman guest, who somehow gave off a studious vibe, saw her friend being swayed by the flirtations of a handsome host and said,
“Today we’re just drinking and going home.”
Originally, the biggest obstacle to seducing one woman wasn’t the woman herself trying to be seduced.
It was often the friend next to her.
This was exactly that situation.
If Cha Ji-hoon had been a nice host and had a good relationship with Kim Namhu, Kim Namhu would have helped him in every way possible to hit a home run.
Just drawing the woman guest’s attention away would have been enough.
But Cha Ji-hoon had no sense of respect, and Kim Namhu had far more bad feelings toward him than good ones.
So he offered no help.
Cha Ji-hoon looked at Kim Namhu as if asking what he was doing.
Kim Namhu just shrugged as if to say, do it yourself.
Hosts had no obligation to help each other with Secondary Outings.
The money earned going out for Secondary Outings was purely personal.
The woman guest who was being swayed by Cha Ji-hoon quickly came to her senses.
She remembered that she had come to the host bar to have fun drinking with her friend.
Women also had a sense of camaraderie.
No matter how handsome the man in front of her was, if she went for a Secondary Outing with him, her friend would be left alone in Gangnam.
People with a sense of camaraderie could never do such a thing.
And as her head cooled, the woman guest could feel the sexual desire deep in Cha Ji-hoon’s eyes.
It wasn’t the look of a man treating a client, but the predatory gaze of a wolf who wanted to do anything with her for just one night.
Still a long way to go.
Kim Namhu knew Cha Ji-hoon was still young and lacked ability.
If he could be shaken this easily, he shouldn’t even think about seducing the woman guest.
Kim Namhu raised his voice slightly and said,
“Then let’s just enjoy the time we have together and go home. I’ll sing a fun song!”
He quickly defused the tense atmosphere.
Thanks to Kim Namhu’s efforts, the two women guests drank happily and left the bar.
No matter how much of a sex maniac Cha Ji-hoon was, he couldn’t be as flirtatious in this situation.
After the women guests left, Kim Namhu and Cha Ji-hoon returned to the host waiting room.
And the moment Cha Ji-hoon stepped into the waiting room, he marched straight up to Kim Namhu and said,
“What are you doing?”
“What do you mean?”
“Is there no sense of camaraderie or cover among hosts in the Main Stage? Is that how it is?”
Cha Ji-hoon’s voice kept rising.
It was an atmosphere where a fight would break out soon, and it was perfectly fine.
Hosts were a job for energetic men, and fights happened often.
Since they had to earn money, they could fight as long as they didn’t touch faces.
But Kim Namhu was clearly a host who had come to help the Main Stage.
Fighting with such a host could become a problem even for the Main Stage.
So the Ace host there stood up from his seat.
“Stop it.”
At the Ace’s single word, the hosts rushed over and separated Cha Ji-hoon and Kim Namhu.
Meanwhile, Cha Ji-hoon and Shin Yong-geom stood around Kim Namhu as if trying to help him.
The Ace host of the Main Stage asked Cha Ji-hoon first.
“What’s going on?”
“No, we were all chosen together, and when I made a slip and the atmosphere got bad, you did nothing, right?”
Cha Ji-hoon left out the part that was against him and only mentioned the part that was favorable.
Luckily, the Ace here wasn’t the type who blindly sided with people he ate from the same pot.
That was because Cha Ji-hoon’s usual behavior wasn’t particularly good even within the Main Stage.
The Ace asked Kim Namhu too.
“Is this true?”
Kim Namhu answered calmly.
“If you’re referring to me talking about the atmosphere getting tense because I was trying to pull the client to a Secondary Outing for sex and you did nothing, then yes. Even as colleagues, I don’t know if we have to cover that.”
