Guild Raid
lol
lol
How much is she planning to spend this time?
I just got goosebumps, holy crap;;
Let the average-reversion arc begin~
"Still, she’s the one they call the life of our channel, right? Wouldn’t she want to see me doing well? She’d probably be more eager to see me buy it at the absolute minimum bid..."
Hmm.
Hmm.
Really?
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, exactly.
She’d probably even make me miss out on an SSS-grade item right in front of my face, seriously.
I hurriedly called out to Mone, but all I got back was an answer that made no sense.
"What is this dramatic line supposed to mean?"
lol
lol
Emergency! Emergency! Emergency!
As if they’d been waiting for us, not even a single trash mob appeared while we made our way to the exact center of the far side of the moon. A device to heighten the tension, maybe? That, too, was one of the many touches that had earned Lunatic Rabbit such high praise.
That’s basically final-boss staging.
Whoaa.
Look at the mood.
Where we arrived was a place like a black swamp. Above us, only pale moonlight offered any light at all.
If you stood still here, you’d slowly be cursed with reduced movement speed, and later you’d just freeze outright, unable to move for several seconds. It was exactly what it looked like: a swamp. On top of that, clumps of black energy could suddenly spring up from the ground, so you had to dodge those carefully too. I explained all of this to the raid members as firmly as I could.
"They said it was rice cake, and now I see that was what this clumping thing meant. Did they shape rice cakes because it’s the Moon Rabbit?"
"Exactly, Sky. Unknown Universe is ridiculously well-made, right? The more you play, the more these little details surprise you."
"Ohhh~."
Nice.
Nice.
God game.
What.
What!
Get out!
You don’t understand the detail packed into this game?
Quiet.
Get lost~
Good grief. That hit too close to home, and now I had nothing to say. Fine, whatever. When life beats you on logic, the best move is to attack the messenger!
"It’s a spy sent by the Lunatic Rabbit! Everyone, don’t fall for the trap."
No way.
No way.
So that’s it!
Hmm...
lololol
"Exactly. Trying to hit us with a wide-area mental confusion attack before the boss even appears! Everyone, stay sharp."
What.
What.
Ugh, psychic attack!!!
[Just kidding. I barely resisted the psychic attack.]
"Good. You’ve escaped the mental attack nicely."
lol
lol
Ah, so that’s a mental attack.
You guys are having too much fun with this.
"Now come out. Everyone, focus."
lololol
Seriously, don’t get distracted in the middle of a raid.
Wriggle, wriggle...
The black swamp mass gathered together like it was forming an egg, and then cracks began to split across it as if something were hatching.
Crack... crack-crack!
And from inside it emerged a black rabbit beastman with red eyes. Its arms and legs were unnaturally long, and rather than grotesque like many other bosses, it gave off a strangely elegant air.
Whoa.
Staging...
A-grade body, damn...
Oh...
lololol
You crazy furries, haha
Lu-chan, I’m in trouble... Rabit-chan is way too cute...
Wow, she’s hotter than a human...
Isn’t that because of the mental attack?
At this rate, you’ll fall to it too.
"Why is chat like this?! Fine, Minijer-nim, please manage the chat!"
Minijer appears, damn.
lololol
Seriously, someone needs to moderate this.
Why are there so many weirdos here, lol
Only after I had kicked out a bunch of Lunatic Rabbit spies(?) could I finally focus on fighting the thing itself.
"For phase one, it’s nimble-looking, so its attack speed is fast, but the damage is weak. You can afford to take a hit or two. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should eat everything head-on, so dodge as much as you can."
While everyone answered yes, Muchaenamul asked,
"But if it looks nimble, then it’ll be hard for us to attack too, won’t it?"
"As those of you who’ve seen the strategy guide know, that’s why there’s the space rice cake. Can you guess why it’s there?"
"Jeongyong!"
"Y-you don’t have to say my name..."
lololol
Is this a quiz show?
Jeongyong hyung is seriously something else.
"Should I throw some space rice cake at it?"
"Jeongyong-nim... correct!"
"Wooooo!!!"
Nice.
Nice.
As expected of Ulsan’s Pride.
Steel Jeongyong
"As a reward, while I’m tossing the space rice cake, I’ll give you a chance to tank."
lololol
Natural trash assignment.
Don’t they burn through all their potions in phase one anyway?
"You won’t have any potions left, so you’ll sub-tank only when your shield cooldown is up. The main tank is Heogu-nim!"
"Moo."
"You were speaking human earlier."
"M-moo~."
He was covering for himself with whistling like some comic panel come to life. It was so absurd I let out a snort before I could stop myself.
"All right. Let’s go."
There were twelve of us, yet we moved as though we were one body, each taking our positions in perfect rhythm. Jeongyong and Heogu drew the aggro of the Lunatic Rabbit. Meanwhile, the support members prepared to hurl space rice cake. And the damage dealers, myself included, got ready to burst it down.
Whoosh!
The first space rice cake flew with confidence, but the rabbit dodged it at the last second.
"It’s fine. This time, could you try hitting the space rice cake with wind magic before throwing it?"
"Ah, right. In the strategy video, they said if you imbue it with wind, the space rice cake flies faster."
Bang!
The wind-infused space rice cake shot forward at incredible speed. It struck the Lunatic Rabbit’s leg and pinned it in place.
The Lunatic Rabbit's actions are temporarily halted!
Nice.
Nice.
Great, Sky.
That was sick.
We’ve got this.
Let’s goooo!!!
"Everyone, full burst!"
Lunatic Rabbit
Remaining HP: 50%
It wasn’t that our damage was lacking. The second phase had simply triggered, and the first phase got forcibly cut off.
One space rice cake to trigger phase two.
That damage is insane, seriously lol
You can brute-force it even while it’s in Berserk?
Lunatic Rabbit, phase two.
The tips of its fingers and toes darkened even further, and its rabbit ears stretched all the way down to its feet, turning into makeshift wings. It leapt high, then flapped those huge ears and took to the sky.
Oh.
Wow...
That’s cool.
"Haruru. Are we supposed to throw the space rice cake into the air and hit it that way in phase two?"
"Yes. But it’s not as hard as it sounds. I’ll help too."
The space rice cakes multiplied in a burst. The other raid members gathered and fired at the Lunatic Rabbit, which was fluttering in the air, but it did not do much good.
Swish...!
It dodged by turning its body transparent, as if it had become a shadow.
"I saw this in the video. That dodge pattern called Shroud of the Moon, right? I heard if you get the SSS-grade Shroud of the Moon later, you can use that as a skill..."
Nice.
Nice.
Rabit-chan gives generously.
Then Haruru finally gets an evasion item.
"But I also heard that breaking this pattern is pretty tricky."
Right. That was, of course, if you didn’t have light attribute. I spoke to the raid members who were getting ready to throw the next space rice cake.
"Could you throw it at me this time?"
"Then won’t Haruru-nim get hit?"
"It’s fine, just do it!"
"Yes, ma’am."
The raid members threw the space rice cakes at me with doubtful voices. Wind attribute had been added to them, making them much faster. If I could parry them with the right timing and angle...
Clang!
Nice.
Nice.
Parry lol
So light attribute gets added too, damn;;;
"Did I hit it?!"
Thud!
The Lunatic Rabbit's actions are temporarily halted!
"Nice! Everyone, full burst again!"
Great, Haruru.
Nice.
lololol
Hitting it is impressive enough, but light attribute is really broken as hell lol
Nice.
Twelve people’s skills swept across the field. Because I’d deliberately left the skill effects on, the scene was nothing short of spectacular. This is exactly why you run Unknown Universe raids.
"Hah. The graphics are insane, right? Start Unknown Universe right now."
Nice.
Nice.
I just logged in.
Watching this made me fully transcend SSS-grade Mika.
I got my second +10 on the entire server after watching Haruru.
"Yes! Shining Parade’s first-ever Lunatic Rabbit raid clear! Everyone, scream!"
"Woooooo!"
"Moo~!"
And it wasn’t just me. Starting with Jeongyong, a whole cluster of hyped-up guild members were shouting in triumph.
Nice.
Nice.
Is this a petting zoo or what, lol
Great, Haruru.
Shining Parade’s guild members have really leveled up.
Congratulations, everyone... and now, who was the MVP dealer?
"And the MVP dealer is... BlackFoxHaruru, with 99% of the damage share."
"Shining Parade’s first-ever MVP dealer, right here."
Nice.
Nice.
Look at that damage share, holy crap lol
99%? Didn’t she basically do it alone?
"We all worked hard together. I’m just so ridiculously strong that it came out to 99%."
Nice, that’s basically it.
Great, Haruru.
I’ve never seen a 99% damage share before.
"Now for the most important part of the raid: auction time!"
Here it comes.
SSS-grade dropped?
Do you think it did?
If it’s Haruru, maybe it actually did.
◈ Information containing the creature data of the Lunatic Rabbit
...
...
"Not that kind of thing. Didn’t the SSS-grade Shroud of the Moon drop?"
The auction items appeared one by one. Then, as if by a miracle, gold light shone from the very last auction item.
◈ Minimum bid: 500,000,000 Uni
◈ Final reinforced relic of the Moon Rabbit boss
"It dropped!"
Nice.
Nice.
500 million Uni, damn;;;
That’s crazy expensive.
Now that I see it, getting an SSS-grade item in Element was legendary.
"If it’s 500 million Uni, then in real money that’s 50 million won for a guaranteed unreinforced SSS-grade item. That’s cheap."
What.
What.
Hmm...
Yeah, fair.
Maybe?
As for the Uni I currently had, it came to 6.5 billion Uni.
That was the total I’d built up from the 5 million cash I’d just exchanged at the converter, plus all the Uni I’d earned through auto-hunting up to now. Just then, Mone’s voice came through the call chat.
"Haruru-nim, I’ve prepared 10 billion Uni."
"Huh?!"
