43. [Special Edition] The Muu Tribe's Oath (The Muu Tribe Forever)
This is the finale of the special edition.
Regular serialization resumes next time.
The back of the mansion opened onto a meticulously maintained fountain garden. Neatly trimmed trees stood in orderly rows, with waterways and bubbling fountains.
But it was impossible to call it beautiful—not with swarms of crows wheeling overhead and a massive cairn, about five meters tall, looming where a folly should have been.
"...Let's go."
Maamii said it, but she couldn't bring herself to move. The crows' stares were terrifying. There were too many for even a thunderbolt to scatter them all.
"Are we heading to that cairn?"
Maamii nodded at Fam's question. She could sense the mana flowing toward it. Fam took Maamii's hand.
"I'm scared, but with Moe here, it'll be fine. Let's go."
Fam started walking. Her hand was warm. That warmth let Maamii finally take a step forward.
"...Fam."
They walked along a cobblestone path, an artificial stream flowing beside them, dotted with small fountains.
It would normally be a lovely sight, but now it was just eerie.
The crows' gazes followed their every move.
"What is it?"
"...It's your curse."
"You knew?"
Maamii nodded to Fam.
"...I can sense mana flows. It's settled down now, though."
"Yeah. I'm planning to go to the church in Migurutto."
"...Got connections?"
"Yep."
Treatment at the church required hefty donations.
She must be loaded, Maamii thought.
"...I've got a place in Migurutto. If you run into trouble, come find me."
"You're from Migurutto?"
"...It's pretty well-known. You'll figure it out quick."
Fam apparently had no idea Maamii was nobility.
"Got it. I'll visit once we reach the city. The Muu tribe's bonds are unbreakable."
"...Yeah. I'll be waiting."
The two nodded to each other.
"Moe, do you know a dog-eared girl named Sameime? She's my age. We parted ways in Migurutto."
"...No clue. Migurutto's a big city. What's she like?"
"Sam's my childhood friend. She's probably a slave now."
When Fam had visited Migurutto as a slave, Sameime had been bought away.
"...Got it. I'll look for her."
"Whoa, I didn't mean it like that."
"...It's fine. She's Muu tribe too."
Fam looked pained. They must have been close. Maamii felt a twinge of jealousy.
"Thank you."
Fam bowed deeply.
"...By the way, what's your master like?"
"Shu-sama?"
Maamii nodded. Fam thought for a moment, then began.
"Hard to say. He's super pervy. But maybe that's just like me—scared of being alone. He waits for reactions and clams up sometimes. Feels like he's afraid of people but acts all cheery. Cautious, but then bold out of nowhere. Kinda naive about the world, but drops these profound insights. Hides stuff by blurting random crap. Treats me like a kid but values what I say. And he's... really kind. That's the scariest part. Makes me anxious and miserable..."
Maamii had expected something like "charismatic," "great leader," "strong with sword and magic." Not this. Fam saw him emotionally, not as a master. It was just lovestruck rambling. But that's what Maamii wanted to hear. The pervy part was iffy, but it felt natural—not some weird power imbalance. Blindingly enviable. She's just a girl, he's some washed-up dude, Maamii thought, but kept it to herself.
"...Talked to her about Sameime?"
Fam shook her head.
"That'd make Shu-sama drop everything he's gotta do. Even this Migurutto trip's for me."
What did he have to do? Sounded like they were on some heavy quest.
"...Wouldn't that be okay?"
"Shu-sama pulled me out when I was at my lowest. Now it's my turn to help him. I wanna see what he's seeing. But it feels like someone's stealing that from me."
"...Dunno. You mean the second girl?"
"Second girl?" Fam echoed.
"...Yeah. Last night's second girl."
"Last... night's... second..."
Fam's face flushed crimson.
"H-How d-do you kn-know?!"
Seeing Fam panic so pitifully, Maamii regretted spilling it.
"...Walls at that inn are thin."
They reached the base of the cairn. Crows cawed shrilly now and then, but didn't attack.
More shocking: what Maamii thought was stacked stones was actually piled giant seed pods, like massive coconuts. Some were crushed, oozing stinking juice.
"My nose is gonna curl up."
Fam pinched her nostrils.
"...No clue, so let's just burn it."
Mages really wanna torch everything, huh. Fam suddenly wanted to introduce her to her party's mage.
"...Hey, thought I was just some chick who burns stuff?"
"N-Not exactly... a little."
"...Looks can deceive. I'm enrolling in magic school next term—top of the class, undisputed. Genius girl here. Watch: one mega thunderbolt to obliterate this cairn."
Maamii raised her wand. Mana gathered at the tip.
Then one pod tumbled down.
The rest collapsed in chain reaction.
"Something's coming!"
Fam yelled. Vines burst from the pile, tearing it apart.
"...Before that—destroy it!"
Lightning erupted from Maamii's wand, slamming the cairn. It exploded in thunderous roar.
But the emerging vines were unscathed. Coated in transparent fluid—they'd repelled the bolt.
Space warped. They were trapped with the vine plant in a sealed chamber. Doors sealed front and back.
"Area guarder!"
Fam drew her shortsword, readying.
"...Pushed too far."
Area guarders were for after linking with Wake. Miscalculated. He was still exploring the mansion. No regrets leaving him to it—he'd survive. But no rescue here now.
Maamii stood beside Fam, wand raised.
The vine plant grew rapidly. A grotesque flower bloomed at center, reeking. Over ten meters total.
Maamii fired fire magic to incinerate it. Useless—the fluid blocked heat.
Vines lashed to ensnare them.
Fam swung to sever them. Blade slid off.
"Chrysanthemum Ichimonji!"
Vacuum wave should've sliced—but no, repelled.
Vines coiled around limbs. Slimy fluid.
"Th-this...!"
"...Fam, you know it?"
"No, but it's pervy. Bad if it catches you."
"..."
Is she an idiot? Maamii wondered, but couldn't insult proud Muu tribe.
Cornered against the wall.
Maamii's legs snared. Immobile.
Slime vine slithered toward her chest.
Tip brushed her nipple.
"Eek!"
A voice escaped. Vine extended to her crotch, coiling.
"...Gross. But if I shift a bit..."
It grazed her sensitive spot.
"Ahhn!"
First time feeling that. She rocked her hips, rubbing. Kinda... no, insanely good. The slime was perfect.
"Moe, what're you doing?"
Fam stared.
Is she an idiot? Fam wondered, but couldn't insult proud Muu tribe.
"...Fam, the vines?"
"Dodging somehow."
Fam was nimble.
Then a vine slipped under Maamii's panties, probing her entrance. She pressed with hands—slipped off.
"Was dodging fine, but slipped once on slime, hit my head."
Unneeded klutz story now.
"...Fam, please. It's going in. Stop it!"
"Which 'stop'?"
"No which! Just stop!"
It was already in a bit. Further, and virginity gone.
"G-Got it. Slicing anyway."
Fam swung. No cut.
Vibration traveled vine to Maamii's insides.
"M-My hymen's vibrating!"
"Hymen's real?"
"D-Dunno! Help!"
"Roger. One more!"
Another swing. No cut. Harsher vibe hit.
"N-No, it'll break! Hold on, my virginity!"
Maamii screamed.
"S-Sorry!"
"That sword channels mana. Can't just slash—infuse mana!"
"Infuse mana...?"
"Like pulsing cum... no, unify spirit!"
Maamii panicked on maiden crisis.
Fam recalled ideal swordsman from battles.
Beautiful strike severing goblin king's wrist.
Precise aim at hectonkeil's neck.
She chased his back to unleash such strikes. But he chased further ideals. Too gutsy—footwork sloppy, lost all-seeing eye. She saw the ideal he reached for.
Fam lacked arm strength. But power's fourth element.
Mana? Dunno. But this vine—cuttable.
Fam swung. Vine severed.
Freed Maamii's too.
"...Thanks."
But wished sooner. She flexed limbs, fixed panties.
Still, crisis unchanged after few vines.
More assaulted.
"Endless."
Fam slashed incoming.
"...If I could blast lightning direct."
"How 'bout this?"
Fam drew mana seed kunai.
"Stick in those petals!"
"...Genius."
Fam hurled at petals. Hit true.
Maamii thundered it.
Flash, deafening boom.
Monster vanished in light particles amid char stench. They caught breath.
"...Muu tribe invincible."
Maamii declared victory proudly as rear door opened.
Beyond: tiny transparent stone floating midair.
"...Crystal Core. Destroy it, dungeon collapses—back to normal."
Magic stone forming/maintaining dungeons.
"Before shattering Crystal Core, let's honor today's fight with Muu tribe victory rite."
Fam said something weird.
"...Muu rite?"
Was there such? Maamii tilted head. Fam's tail wagged wildly. Must be fun.
Ignoring, Fam stripped half-pants, then panties.
"...Bathroom break?"
Maamii eyed Fam's smooth mound.
"Your turn, Moe."
Urged, Maamii hiked dress, dropped panties. Smooth embarrassing, but Fam too—fine.
Fam's plain white, Maamii's with tulip embroidery.
Fam swapped panties with Maamii, donned hers.
Maamii reluctantly wore Fam's. Lingering slime.
Cherish these. Get Patricia to add tulip embroidery. Odd thrill, comfy fit, Maamii mused.
"Rite done. Now, Crystal Core."
"...Huh?"
Switch too fast—Maamii lagged.
Fam slashed Core. It shattered.
Landscape warped.
They stood before mansion gates.
Patricia hugged them.
Wake and guards emerged from inside.
Thus ended their adventure.
