Protect Men's Rights (3)
Scammers always say the sweetest things. From the start, whether it's financial gain or some other benefit, a scammer needs that unconditional profit, so they have to dazzle the victim into buying whatever they're peddling. Anyone who's been scammed knows this. Once you realize you've been had, it's easy to think, "If only I could turn back time," or "I should've said this back then." Just like those satisfying "catharsis scenes" in all the regression stories, the lines where you clap back at the scammer or turn the tables on them—they all come from that thought process.
So what about people who don't fall for scams? They know the script too. They've mentally rehearsed the steps those victims came up with after the fact, then deliver them confidently to dodge the trap. And whether they've been scammed before or not, anyone dealing with a scammer reacts the same way.
[Does... that even make sense?]
Julius Keiar, the student council president, was the first to break the silence after my monologue.
"Growth spurt age, huh? Must be why you're so interested, Mr. President."
[No, that's not...]
"Someone of your stature is basically fully grown already—or so you'd think. But you're still aiming to get even bigger?"
[........]
Right now, in front of the boys' dorm, the stares from the male students toward the student council president probably carried all sorts of meanings. Crown prince or not, at least he was a guy—and guys respect a big one. Admiration, jealousy, envy from peers in their prime growth years gazing at someone "already grown"—a cocktail of emotions.
This was my provocation. Elevating him with respect while subtly poking at him. Yeah, we get it, yours is huge. But don't you wanna make it even bigger?
[So, just using the Jerque technique turns anyone into a Phoenix-level grower?]
"Exactly. Anyone can end up like you, Mr. President."
To outsiders, that might sound risky. If it were about skill, they'd think, "Ooh, the strong humbly yielding to each other." But to the fangirls with their rose-tinted fantasies, it sparks all kinds of delusions.
But.
[I can't believe it.]
Regardless, Julius Keiar, student council president, always put everyone's safety first.
[I still can't easily trust that this Jerque technique really counters mana drain.]
"Of course. Theories need real-world proof, after all."
I get it. Even with videos of superconductors, people joked about the US delivering "democracy" via bombs. No theory holds water without universal verification of the phenomenon.
"If you don't believe me, I can demonstrate it myself."
[What... did you say?]
"Just check if a mana barrier from the Jerque technique gets pierced by mana drain. Easy."
"W-wait a second."
Unia cut in while we were deep in the magic panel chat.
"That's dangerous talk."
"It's fine, Unia. I'm not about to dash out to the old school building and beg for a mana drain right now."
I don't go cumming around with just anyone.
"If I did, I'd need help from the folks here in the old school building."
"W-what?!"
Unia quickly glanced between Instructor Esta and Instructor Cardisha, who simultaneously eyed each other. You don't mean...?)
"Only with their permission, of course."
I hadn't asked, but it planted the seed in their minds.
"What about you, Mr. President? Don't you have at least one 'safe woman' who could handle a mana drain test?"
[It's not like that with her—]
Bingo.
[Ahem. I can't just step up recklessly for a mana drain experiment. No matter how you spin it, we're still students.]
[Then I'll step in.]
As the student council president slyly hid behind the "student shield," Dean Ederson Lionheart jumped forward.
[An old man who doesn't mind mana drain should be fine, right?]
"Dean Ederson."
[It's okay, Rydmila. If there's a way to protect the students and the faculty doesn't test it personally, what good is that?]
Rydmila tried to block Dean Ederson, but she couldn't stop his "resolve."
[So, shall we give it a try on me? I'll take on mana drain with your Jerque technique applied. Lucky for me, I know a few who could do it. Haha!]
"Dean Ederson, you know mana drain steals mana permanently, right?"
Instructor Cardisha voiced her concern.
"The amount varies by person, sure, but men can't resist it at all."
[True enough. Even that Swordmaster down south got drained. I doubt he just lay there because multiple women piled on—he couldn't resist.]
Mana drain. It's extra dangerous because it puts men in a true irresistible state. No matter how strong, the moment she grabs it, you can still use physical strength, but mana? Forget it. You'd have to escape on raw muscle alone—and a pure musclehead with no mana loses arm-wrestling to a 10-year-old D-rank loli who uses even a speck of it. That's mana for you.
[So if I test it on myself and prove it blocks mana drain, your Jerque technique becomes a 'baptism' for every student here.]
"Baptism's a bit much."
I feigned embarrassment, but that's exactly the vibe I wanted.
[No, no. You're a savior. For the downcast, the pride-deficient—even they can find courage and build self-esteem at key moments because of you.]
In other words, a saint to some.
[But there's a serious flaw.]
"You already sure it blocks mana drain?"
[You're not the type to bluff about this in front of everyone.]
"Thanks for the trust. So, what's the flaw?"
[This.]
Dean Ederson cleared his throat awkwardly.
[...If it's stimulated for 24 hours straight, isn't that basically a death sentence?]
"Pardon?"
[You or I might endure a full 24 hours grown like that, but think about regular folks. You didn't consider that, did you?]
"Ah."
Oh, that.
"Using the Jerque technique for 24 hours doesn't mean you're full-charged physically the whole time."
[What... did you say?]
"Even if blood rushes in for a moment, if you stay calm, it subsides quick, right? Same with Jerque."
Hydra's blessing is a magical phenomenon, so it doesn't overstimulate physically.
"Every guy hits snags sometimes. Those random boners. Jerque detects the growth moment and stimulates mana only then. Because..."
[Because?]
"When blood isn't rushing, it shifts from the pillar down to the 'magazine' below."
[What!!]
Dean Ederson recoiled dramatically.
[You mean the magazine grows too?!]
"Train it right, and you can solo 1:17 easy."
[Hah, hahaha...!]
"No downside. Well, the only loss is if you casually release a full charge—growth stalls."
Don't do it and miss out; do it and lose nothing.
The Jerque technique is a blessing from the Mother of the Earth—for all life on this land.
[You... just what...]
"Eh, call me an apostle of the god who fills the self-esteem of the bowed and pride-lacking."
And I'm that apostle—and a demon rebelling against the goddess above, dragging down divinity with faith alone.
"You all just reap the benefits."
Demons never mention future costs upfront. The so-called "price." Though for some, that price is a blessing in disguise. Even if faith in that heavenly goddess crumbles, humans just lose divine power—angels.
"Dean Ederson? What we should really worry about isn't Jerque's safety."
[Then?]
"Using it 24/7 means keeping it active through academy life—including lectures in a 'grown' state sometimes."
[Ugh...!]
"And the bigger issue: guys deactivate Jerque three, four times a day minimum."
[Ah. I get it.]
No mana barrier holds forever—even in the bathroom, it'd harm health.
"Dorms are safe, but academy restrooms? Way riskier."
[Hmm...]
"So, I humbly propose: It might disrupt the whole academy schedule, but for healthy male grads—and their future wives' happiness—think big picture."
17. Just for men? No. Women benefit too. For that.
"Remote classes."
Show only upper body on magic panels—no one notices below.
"We study hard while training body and mana simultaneously."
