Afterword
It's finally finished...!
It was a story full of shortcomings, and a long one at that.
Of course, that's because the whole thing started as nothing more than a sudden impulse—just a whim to try writing this kind of story...
The plot was thin, and I wrote it without many concrete details.
So, it was a piece that fell short in so many ways.
Even so, there were a lot of things I wanted to do, and the story veered off course, picking up unnecessary tangents along the way...
That's also why the tags went completely off the rails.
The moment the story I'd envisioned started to stray, I couldn't even keep the tags accurate...
And more than anything, because of my lack of experience, I made several mistakes simply because I wanted to make all the characters happy.
Representative examples of that are Isabella and Karen.
Of course, you could say Isabella was a character I introduced fairly early on and had given at least some thought to,
but Karen, in particular, was difficult to portray.
That's because while I had a concept for the North, I hadn't fleshed it out in any detail, so she ended up a poorly developed character. Still, I didn't want to give her a bland personality, so I tried this and that... and Karen became the character who turned out strange as I layered on various thoughts and attempts.
That's partly why I gave the last side story to Karen.
Since she was a lacking character with a hazy concept, I wanted to somehow make that clearer and less lacking.
Given that the main story's protagonists are Canaria and Rosaria, I felt there was no space to write about anyone else outside of the side story where their tale concluded.
In Isabella's case, it was simply my mistake.
I gave too much story to a supporting character.
Also, considering the tags and the subject matter and the content, I belatedly realized that this is a story that won't necessarily be received very well.
But even so, I was truly glad to have had so many new experiences while writing this work.
That's why I'm also very sorry. Because I think I gave all the readers who read this the uniquely unpleasant experience that comes from a lacking work.
A flimsy impetus, insufficient experience, things like writing while juggling my studies and not being able to dedicate long stretches of time to it... Many aspects were immature and underprepared.
There were many typos, the development was strange... haha... Looking back now, I want to headbutt my past self...
Anyway, I've offered this rather lengthy message giving all these reasons, both to express my thanks for reading and my apologies for writing such a lacking piece.
Thanks to this, I gained a lot of experience.
There were many things I realized, and many things I came to understand.
My intention is to show a better version of myself in my next work.
Thank you for seeing this story through to its end.
I hope your future is filled with good things, and I wish for your happiness.
I hope to see you again with a better work, without too much delay...
Well then, I'll be off to write a new story starting today.
Let's meet again next time.
