Alice and the Honey Trap Elf
The inn had already been bathed in the deep darkness of night when we returned.
Oddly enough, street lamps lined the paths everywhere, so finding our way wasn’t nearly as difficult as it might have been.
That’s when a distant, drawn-out howl echoed through the night—auuuu~ The sound of wolves crying out.
Thinking back on it, the original game setting had clearly stated that wolf-humans lived in this village.
I hadn’t imagined they would be so different. Not the kind of werewolves that changed shape under the full moon, but actual wolf-humans with fur and ears attached to their heads.
From the illustrations, they looked quite handsome…
I wondered what they would look like in person. Well, since I already knew how to find them, there was no need to hurry. I could simply wait until later and be slowly ravished by them.
With Alice here, however, the chances of me being raped by a wolf-human seemed almost nonexistent.
If it came to that, I could simply tell her and she would carve them into pieces with her sword herself.
At least I needed to get rid of this elf receptionist first.
“No one here? Then… we’ll just go.”
I quietly opened the inn’s door and peeked inside.
The room was completely empty except for a lamp hanging from the ceiling that swayed gently back and forth.
In the dim, dark room, that lone light barely illuminating the walls looked strangely sinister.
A slight breeze slipped through the narrow gap of the half-open door.
Somehow, it sent a chill racing down my spine.
The hinges creaked faintly, and the sharp, piercing sound seeped in, making me instinctively hold my breath as I stepped inside.
Only when I finally reached the stairs did the voice behind me stop me cold.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“Gya~!”
I jumped in surprise at the voice suddenly behind me.
I quickly turned around and saw an all-too-familiar figure standing there.
A tall, slender elf woman wearing nothing but her underwear, scratching the back of her neck… a woman?
“W-who are you?”
“Who else? The receptionist. But why are you dressed like this?”
The receptionist? That perpetually slouched-over elf uncle I always saw? No, wait… that human?
Looking at him now, he didn’t seem male at all.
At first glance, with his short-cropped hair and neat suit, he could easily pass for a man, but the moment he took off the jacket and stood there in just underwear, he transformed into an unmistakably elegant woman.
“What’s wrong? Why are you acting so strange?”
“N-no, I’m just surprised.”
“Oh? You’re speaking in formal speech? You little brat. You’ve finally learned what respect is.”
She sat down gracefully on the chair, stroking my head as if nothing was unusual about the sticky honey-and-semen mixture still in her hand.
“But there’s a strong honey scent all over your body… the shower is over there.”
I raised my thumb behind my back, blushing as I answered.
…Ah, never mind that first impression. She was definitely not male.
After a quick shower, she sat with her legs crossed, the leaf holding the honey-and-semen mixture on the table in front of her.
She really is a tomboy, even if she looks exhausted.
Yet the lust radiating from her didn’t seem to fade in the slightest.
I idly watched her nails while she tapped her leg impatiently, then let out a long sigh and beckoned me forward with a snap of her fingers.
Every single movement looked disgustingly perverted in the dim shadows.
As I approached, the elf silently pointed to the chair opposite her.
I plopped down heavily.
Silence fell as she simply stared at me without saying a word.
How long had passed? It was probably about an hour when she finally opened her mouth.
“Why do you keep going outside all the time?”
“For the glory of my tribe…”
“I see… I figured it out. Judging by your attitude, you’re clearly from the outskirts.”
Oh? She’s taking it surprisingly seriously?
I had expected her to dismiss it as nonsense.
Turns out, people like me really exist.
Her casual mention of “outskirts” made it clear this was a common thing.
Just as I tilted my head in confusion, she glanced at the honey-filled leaf on the table in front of me.
She pressed her fingers to her forehead and let out a heavy sigh.
“But even so, seeing someone like you rolling around like this… I can’t help but feel a little sad. Plus, you never know when you’ll die.”
To be honest, dying was the last thing on my mind.
I could probably survive even if I got raked by a Maka King’s lightning bolt.
Yet this elf woman was looking at me with genuine concern in her half-lidded eyes.
It seemed she genuinely didn’t know what to do with me.
“No matter what you say, I’m going to move for the sake of my tribe’s honor. So don’t get in my way.”
“You’ve already failed several times, you know. Honestly, it’s almost impressive that you’re still alive.”
“Th-that’s…”
I couldn’t exactly deny it… but saying I was level 99 and had been drained of everything wouldn’t make sense either.
What excuse could I give? Or would she even believe it?
Honestly, I wouldn’t believe a word of it myself.
But without the guild’s help, I probably couldn’t leave the village at all.
The guild was needed just to find monsters.
That was why I could approach Alraune—because I remembered where she was.
If I couldn’t convince the elf in front of me, I wouldn’t even be able to go looking for unknown monsters.
The elf’s gaze, locked steadily on mine, felt like she was seeing straight through me.
I was terrified she might realize I was deliberately pretending to lose so I could be raped.
If she ever figured it out, it would probably be better to knock her out and simply slip out of the village alone.
Then at least I could… live to be ravished as much as I wanted.
While I prepared a spell in my hand, she spoke up.
“I’ve seen many of your kind. Those who talk about honor and don’t mind giving up their lives. But… I can’t stop you. If I did, I’d just get into trouble instead.”
Her tone sounded almost like she was complaining.
She must have gone through a lot.
After all, the first time I saw her she had been fighting some weird quest-giver.
“So… what should I call this? I don’t want to take responsibility. Whether you live or die is none of my business.”
Her entire being screamed “bureaucrat.”
The fundamental principle of the guild was to avoid trouble at all costs.
She sighed deeply before continuing, eyes locked on mine.
“So promise me one thing.”
Her attitude suddenly became serious.
The laziness in her eyes vanished as she took my hand, as if genuinely asking me to make a promise.
“W-what is it?”
Her expression forced me to take her seriously, so I matched her gravity as best I could.
She answered with a heavy sigh.
“If you die… don’t blame me.”
…What a damn waste of a woman.
“If you do that, I’ll handle every quest you want. Just promise me you won’t blame me.”
My earlier thoughts were canceled.
There really was a limit to how lazy I could be.
There was no reason to refuse, and it was actually a good deal for me.
All she wanted was for me to live without resenting her.
Carrying the burden in my heart felt far better than the hassle of being assaulted.
I nodded.
She let out a relieved sigh and, just like always, rested her arms on the table and let her head droop.
“Huu… that’s enough. Thanks, man. But… if you ever blame me later, I’ll be really angry. I hate it when you think you could have survived with just one word.”
“I’ll never blame you. Don’t worry so much.”
“You little shit, suddenly talking shorter? You’ve already gotten everything you wanted, huh?”
Her voice became noticeably softer, as if she had finally relaxed.
She sank deep into the chair and began staring blankly at the ceiling.
Tapping her foot, she suddenly dropped a single sentence.
“My name is Ames. What’s yours?”
I already knew, but why introduce herself now?
Still, I figured it was better not to be rude.
I smiled brightly at her.
“Esther.”
“Esther? For someone from the outskirts, that’s a pretty refined name. Doesn’t matter to me though.”
She chuckled to herself as I sat there.
It seemed my plan was working out fine.
If only she hadn’t mentioned Alice, things might have gone smoothly.
“Ah, and… Alice said she’d take care of you.”
“What?”
That woman again?
“So. Just stay here for today. Tomorrow, go to Alice’s house or something.”
“No, it’s not necessary. I can just stay here…”
“Do you have any money?”
Shit… capitalism is the devil!
I had no money at all, and it was already weird that I was staying at an inn.
Why was this woman so interested in me?
I needed to get rid of her somehow, but if I used the honey trap and got her to rape me, maybe she would finally let me go because of guilt.
Hehe… still, her body was nice.
She probably thought I was a weakling, so I’d have to pretend to be submissive while I was being used…
“Why are you making that face? Are you sick?”
“N-no, I’m fine. Don’t worry.”
I shook my head vigorously to deny it.
She had already asked once, but I couldn’t help feeling a little uneasy.
Honestly, those eyes were too sharp—they seemed to see straight into my soul.
Was she scared, or had she simply read me well and knew I was anxious?
Even if she figured it out, what could she do? If anything, she would probably be glad I was less trouble.
She was the kind of person who simply let someone who said “I’ll go in myself” walk away.
Still, I hadn’t realized she was female.
I guess the short hair had been the giveaway.
“Then I’ll go to bed. You should rest well too.”
“Yes, understood.”
I shot back a teasing remark, and a low chuckle came from behind her.
Thankfully, I hadn’t taken the honey leaf with me.
Now… let’s see if this works.
