Summer Getaway (14) — The Event
"Huh? What's that? Some kind of event...?"
Jia popped the leftover end of a kimbap roll into her mouth and chewed, sizing up the commotion. The rest of the group watched with the same curious tilt of the head.
"Before we get into the game, we should reveal the prize first, right?"
The people already gathered around the stage settled in like they'd done this a hundred times, whooping on cue.
"Woooooooo!!!!"
"And the prize is...!!!"
Th-The Sow...?
Hanbyul dug a finger in his ear, certain he'd misheard — but the voucher on display had the name printed across it in fat, unmistakable letters.
THE SOW
Family Gift Certificate
"Oh my!"
Baek Jiwoo's eyes flew wide. Then she started clapping.
"That's the place we were going to eat!"
"What?!"
"Ehh?"
"It's supposed to be incredible. Seriously famous around here..."
"Then we have to win it."
"That's it. Tonight's dinner is settled."
The women were already burning with competitive fire. Hanbyul, on the other hand...
"Let's hear what the event actually is first..."
He was doing his level best to tap the brakes before they all went flying off a cliff.
"Alright! The event is...!"
Years of school retreats had trained them well. Their bodies remembered even if no one said a word, and the whole crowd answered as one.
Dugudugudugudugu.
The instant the word left the host's mouth, every pair of eyes on the beach locked onto Hanbyul.
"Huhh?"
"Unlike last year's contest, only men can enter this time. And since it's summer — the season of youth — a higher heat level is perfectly welcome. Now then! We'll be taking contestants right~ this~ minute!"
Nobody bothered asking Hanbyul what he thought. Jia's voice rang out over the crowd.
"Us! We'll do it!!!"
Jia never would have done this before. But after what had happened with Iseul — after the twisted thrill of putting her father on display in front of other women, the shame of it braided together with a pleasure she couldn't name — she was all in.
"This guy is insane, I'm telling you!!!"
"Miss Host. If you don't grab this one, you will one hundred percent regret it."
Iseul and Jiwoo — mother and daughter — were shouting just as hard, desperate to see Hanbyul in costume. Whatever their individual reasons, all three of them had locked onto the same target: Hanbyul in cosplay.
Maybe that hunger was contagious. The host — a woman in a tight red shirt that did nothing to hide her chest — came striding over.
"Oho~ Pretty boy over there! You signing up?"
She shoved a microphone in his face. The crowd stared with glittering, expectant eyes. Turning her down now would kill the entire mood, and Hanbyul knew it. He caved.
There had never been a choice to begin with.
"Y...yes.."
"Yesss!!!"
Hanbyul's insides were already burning with dread, but Jia didn't notice — or didn't care. She threw her arms around him, beaming like the sun. A true fire-type filial daughter, that one.
They rounded up about five more contestants after that and moved on to introductions and concept assignments. This being a beach — holy land for the young — every other contestant was in their early twenties, late twenties at the outside.
"I just started college, twenty years old~! …"
"Twenty-two, I'm a gym trainer …"
"Twenty-seven …"
On age alone, Hanbyul didn't stand a chance. But that face of his, and that ripe, fully bloomed body, were in a league of their own.
The long stretch of introductions and concept drawings finally wrapped up. At last, it was his turn.
"Name and age, if you would."
The host handed him the mic and quietly stepped back. Ten-plus years of running these events had given her a sixth sense, and today that instinct was screaming.
Jackpot.
This was his first time on a stage since getting married, and it showed. He couldn't keep still.
"M-my name is... Jeon Hanbyul... I'm thirty-nine, a married man, and..."
He was about to mention his daughter when someone caught his eye. Iseul, staring at the ground, kicking idly at the sand.
He'd been planning to say he had one child. But...
Iseul... hold your head up..!
Whether it was fatherly love or all the affection that had built up between them, he couldn't say.
"I have two daughters."
"Kyaaaa~ He's a married man!!!"
"Oppa~ Nngh..."
"Waa, I'm a baby. Papa~ give me milk. I'm hungry♡"
"Wait, that's actually better...?"
"Who the fuck— which bitch just asked for milk!!!"
Jia bellowed at the crowd. And beside her, a certain girl had gone completely still, staring at Hanbyul with wide, stunned eyes.
Color bloomed across Iseul's pale face like a flower taking on pigment, white flushing to a deep, vivid red.
"Ah... so you came with your family! And your wife is absolutely stunning."
"Eh? Ah?"
Before he could get another word out, someone was already guiding his hand into a white box.
"Go ahead and draw!"
He glanced at Jiwoo-noona, who was fanning herself in flustered little waves, sneaking looks at the crowd's reaction. Then he drew.
I'll have to apologize to Noona once I get off this stage...
"Got one?"
"Ah.. y-yes..!"
He unfolded the slip of paper. One word stared back at him.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
Eh...?
"Read it into the mic! Nice and loud!!!"
He hesitated, wondering if this could possibly be right, then let the word slip out.
"Sch...school uniform..?"
"Woooooooo!!!!"
"A married man in a school uniform?! I can't handle this~!!!"
"Nngh~ Take me, Oppa♡"
His two daughters were losing their minds right along with the rest of the crowd... and even Jiwoo-noona had a hand pressed to her chest, drawing a long, steadying breath.
Why is everyone like this...
The thought of putting on a school uniform at his age was already making Hanbyul's face burn.
"Whoa... I hear this year's uniforms have been cut very short. *Gulp.* Color me excited. You'll each have thirty minutes to get ready. Meet back here at 3:50."
A storm had passed over the beach. Three figures came rushing toward Hanbyul, who stood alone on the makeshift stage like something left behind by the tide.
"Oh my god, this isn't a dream, right? I get to do school-uniform play with Dad..?!"
"Holy.. I'm actually alive to see Dad in a school uniform. School-uniform Papa♡"
"Hanbyul-ah, want to put on matching uniforms and go on a date with Noona?"
All three of them were already breathing in that low, heated way, each one laying out a private hunger of her own with no shame whatsoever.
"W-wait! Everyone just calm down..!!!"
Hanbyul hit the brakes hard, and for a moment the women actually settled.
An unspoken rule kept contestants well apart from each other, so the four of them huddled behind the shower stalls to hold a war council.
"So what concept are we going with?"
Jia asked, but nobody jumped to answer. This was a first for all of them, and with so little prep time, nothing useful was coming to mind.
Then something flickered through Hanbyul's head.
"What about... NTR..?"
"???"
Is that a word that should come out of Dad's mouth..?
Papa..? That's his thing?
Ha.. Hanbyul-ah..?
Everyone went blank for a second. The suggestion had come from the last person on earth who should have known what porn even was — and of all things, he'd picked NTR, infamous for how vicious it could get.
The confusion didn't last. Something about it fit too well, and the mood shifted toward reluctant, then genuine, agreement.
"Okay. I'll steal him while he's walking with Mom."
"No way! I'm doing that!"
"Whyyy!!!"
"Unnie, your hair color overlaps with hers!"
Jiwoo's role was apparently already locked in, because Iseul and Jia went straight to squabbling over the one seat left.
"Or Jiwoo can play the girlfriend, and Iseul can be the bad one."
For once, Jiwoo took a clean step back without a fight.
"Wait, really?"
"Unnie... thank youu..."
If I have to act, I can't focus on Hanbyul. Idiots♡
A calculated retreat. One step back, two steps forward — and she knew exactly what she was doing.
"I'll go grab the costumes, then."
They left the story and the lines to the two girls. Hanbyul and Jiwoo headed off to collect the outfits.
"Is this really okay...?"
Hanbyul was still a little dizzy from a conversation that had not, by any measure, been normal.
"I mean, isn't everyone doing the same kind of thing?"
Baek Jiwoo pointed at the chalkboard, where the other teams' concepts were scrawled in a messy column.
SM
Female Orc & Elf Prince
Married Man
Master–Servant Role Reversal
Teacher & Student
"True.. I guess if you want first place, there's no other way.."
It made his head spin, but this was youth culture, and even the government looked the other way. If they were going to play, they might as well play young. If you can't avoid it, you might as well enjoy it — that saying existed for a reason.
"Ah! You're here for your costume..!"
The woman in the red shirt was working the desk, handing out outfits.
"Um... here you go."
They'd said school uniform. What she held out looked an awful lot like a sailor fuku.
"This is a school uniform, right..?"
"Ah.. honestly, the person in charge mixed up the school uniforms and the sailor uniforms. I'm sorry, but you're going to have to go with this one."
*Gulp.*
The host swallowed hard, eyes roaming over Hanbyul, her imagination clearly running somewhere filthy. He felt it. A flicker of contempt crossed his face, and he hurried into the changing room.
"An industry re...reward..♡"
"Haa.. is this really happening..?"
He looked at himself in the mirror mounted inside the stall, and the first words that arrived were lewd and cheap.
The sailor top didn't just bare his stomach — a breeze would have flashed the underside of his chest without mercy. The shorts were so thin they traced every contour of his cock in perfect, shameless outline. Even back in high school, he was pretty sure he'd never worn a uniform this filthy...
"That's it! We're winning that prize no matter what!"
A father steeling himself for his family. He held onto that thought as the changing-room door swung open and he stepped out.
"I know, right... I'm so hyped for this one."
"Don't even start. I basically got dragged here."
"I wanna see already~♡"
Tak.
The lounge, which had been filled with nothing but the drone of local television, went dead silent in a single heartbeat.
"..."
What? Does it look weird...?
"Um.. i-is something off about it..?"
Hanbyul glanced around, fidgeting, unable to keep still. Baek Jiwoo had already gotten friendly with the women nearby and was wedged in among them — and in that moment, staring at him in a daze, she looked like a woman who had just fallen in love.
No. Every woman in that room felt it.
That was how lewd he was. How cute. How precious. How badly he made you want to tease him until he broke. He was the exact vision every woman had conjured up at least once during her high school years.
"Holy... shit..."
That was the spark. Cheers and whistles erupted from every direction at once.
"Oppa!!!!"
"Papa!!! Give me milk... Papa♡♡♡"
"I'm soaked♡"
"Spend tonight with this noona. Nice and sticky♡"
A hand closed around his wrist.
"Hhn...!!!"
Baek Jiwoo grabbed him and walked straight out the door, towing him behind her.
"N-Noona..?"
He tipped his head up carefully, trying to read her face — and the second she looked at him, a broken sound tore out of her.
"Hwaaaaang...♡♡♡"
Her legs were trembling. Wetness was already running down her thighs. She kept walking anyway, both knees shaking, dragging each step forward with a vulgar, single-minded hunger that had stripped every last scrap of composure off her.
Today, of all days, he looked especially like a student.
"Haa.. I can't take this.."
Still holding him, she pulled him into an alley.
"N-Noona..?"
"Hahk.. hahk.."
"Noona.. what's wrong.. you're scaring me.."
She braced a hand against the wall, her chest heaving, and stared at him. Hearts sat wide open in her pupils. Drool ran down her chin in a thin, glistening thread.
"Hanbyul-ah. This is your fault."
