The Magical Girl Has Been Captured (1)
“You bastard! Let go of this! I’ll kill you! You, you’ll regret it if you don’t let go right now?!”
“Hah, seriously… Stay still, you bitch!”
“Ow ow ow ow! That hurts, you asshole…!”
The man in the suit restrained Alpha with a joint lock and dragged her inside. No matter how modified her body was, overpowering a magical girl like Alpha through raw strength should have been difficult, but once caught like this, strength no longer mattered.
“Ugh…! Don’t… touch weird places… You…!”
“Whoa… This is pretty solid. Arms and waist are slim, but the chest and hips are plenty…”
When the man pressed his body close and rubbed his groin against her rear, Alpha felt goosebumps crawl across her entire body.
The man kicked the slightly open door shut and continued dragging Alpha deeper inside.
The building often hosted experiments and gatherings that couldn’t be discussed openly, so several rooms lacked surveillance cameras.
Which meant he could take his time now…
“—You’ll regret it, you dumbass.”
“What…?”
Alpha, whose hands had been twisted behind her back, instead grabbed the man’s arm.
The moment all five fingers made contact—
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT—!
“GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH?!”
The man’s body convulsed violently from the intense electric shock coursing through him before collapsing limply to the floor.
Alpha’s jet-black boot mercilessly kicked the fallen man’s head.
“Dumb~ass. You should’ve listened when someone told you to. Feeling tingly?”
Even with a magical girl’s power, subduing a trained opponent was difficult—especially when the goal was restraint rather than killing. The fact that he had clung to her had been pure luck.
Stun Glove.
The leather gloves Alpha wore, fitted with metal plates on the back of the hands that stored magical power.
Similar to a stun gun, they discharged high-voltage current into anything they touched, but only activated when all five fingers made contact. Since they generated electricity using magical power, there was no need to worry about batteries, and the output could be adjusted freely.
Lucky Roulette Level 5, Infiltrator Costume.
Besides basic stealth skills and magic, this unique costume came with five Spy Items, including the Stun Glove, designed to aid infiltration activities.
‘Without this, I wouldn’t have even come here. No way I’d show up empty-handed.’
The problem was that attacking ordinary people with a magical girl’s power incurred penalties to one’s points.
“You said you received body modifications from Mekrak… Thanks to that, no penalty.”
If that was true, then her conscience felt remarkably light.
Alpha held both hands forward and channeled magical power, causing a translucent hologram to appear before her eyes.
What materialized was a flat map.
It displayed the entire layout of this floor.
‘Still, it only shows the structure. It doesn’t tell me where anyone is.’
At best, it let her know where the stairs were.
‘Would it be safe to just use the stairs normally?’
She had stopped that rotten bastard from radioing the others, but the stairwell was probably still being watched.
Where was Cookie in the first place? Since she didn’t know which floor he was on, searching every single floor one by one would be…
‘Let’s narrow down the search area.’
She reasoned it out. If this building had such heavy security, that meant something important was being kept hidden away.
‘Could that something be Cookie?’
Did that cat plush really have that much value…? She couldn’t believe it, but she had no other leads.
‘If it’s the most important thing, it’s probably on the top floor.’
If not, she could check floor by floor starting from the top.
If she had planned to search the entire building anyway, the standard approach was to start with the most likely locations.
“Alright… Now, how do I get up there without being spotted…”
While Alpha was lost in thought, chin resting on her hand—
“This is… 3rd floor… Room 301…”
“!?”
The suited man, still twitching on the floor, was mumbling something into his radio!
‘He didn’t pass out…? Did I mess up the output because it was my first time…? Or was it because of the clothes…? Whatever!’
“You bastard!”
“Intruder—Gah!!”
Alpha kicked the radio out of the man’s hand. It clattered across the floor and shattered into pieces.
“Doing unnecessary things…”
“You’re… finished, you bitch… GRAAAAAAAAAAH!”
She pressed the Stun Glove firmly against his back and sent a higher-voltage current than before. This time, he seemed to have completely lost consciousness.
At the same time, a shrill alarm began blaring, accompanied by heavy metallic clanging sounds echoing from all directions.
She rushed to check outside the room and saw fire-shutter-like barriers descending everywhere.
She was screwed!
“Shit… Damn it…!”
Everything had gone wrong. This was a desperate situation. There was no way she could leisurely search for Cookie like this.
She had to run. At this rate, she had no chance of winning—she’d just be overwhelmed by numbers.
But.
“Haa… At times like this, my old habits from when I was a guy kick in…”
How should she put it?
Sometimes, the harder a game was to clear, the more you felt like challenging it anyway.
Maybe it was an emotion shared by both men and women, but regardless.
Even as cold sweat ran down her back, Alpha grinned.
Now then, what should she do?
* * *
“Whoa, someone actually came looking here.”
“No idea what scent they picked up, but it’s probably a magical girl, right?”
“If we catch her, can we have our way with her? Should we head down right now?”
“Cut it out. If we don’t guard this place, our heads will roll.”
“She’s gotta come up here eventually… Shit… I wanna have a taste too… Hang in there, magical girl~.”
The men in black suits patrolling the top floor’s corridor chatted and snickered while holding smartphones and playing games.
They had been told that something extremely important was stored on this top floor, but as mere guards, they didn’t need to know what it was. Still, not knowing what they were protecting while hearing that something interesting was happening downstairs made the boredom unbearable.
‘Whether it’s weirdos, fairies, or magical girls…’
Even though they had received body modifications through Mekrak’s technology, these men weren’t particularly on Mekrak’s side. Nor were they on the side of the Magic Land fairies or the magical girls.
They were simply the type of people who would do anything as long as they could eat what they wanted and live comfortably and enjoyably day by day.
World peace or whatever—honestly, it didn’t matter to them.
‘Still, having your way with a magical girl~ There’s just something romantic about it~. Traitor… Traitor to your gender? Well, I guess I deserve to be called that~.’
While thinking such thoughts and feeling pleased about a rare item dropped by a monster they had just hunted—
Thud!
A shadow fell across the transparent window that let in the moonlight as if blocking it.
“H-Huh…?!”
Before they could even realize that the figure clinging to the window outside was an intruder in a black suit—
CRASH—!
The window shattered into pieces as the intruder leaped inside.
One of the black-suited men immediately reached for a capture weapon, while the other operated his radio.
“Intruder! This is the top floor—GRAAAAAAAAAAH?!”
“H-Hey?!”
But before he could report the situation, his colleague was neutralized in an instant. The moment the intruder touched him, he convulsed as if struck by an electric shock and collapsed, unable to even twitch a finger.
‘Some kind of device in the gloves…? That black sheen… If it’s an insulated leather suit, electric shockers won’t work.’
The remaining man quickly assessed the situation and put distance between himself and the intruder. It was a desperate measure to avoid being grabbed.
At the same time, he pulled out a Mekrak special non-lethal capture pistol from his coat. Unlike a taser, it fired a special energy wave to incapacitate the target.
If she thought it was just a regular taser and got hit, it would be over.
‘Take this!’
However, while the glowing orb of light shot from the gun’s muzzle, the intruder in the black suit kicked off the floor and walls with cat-like agility, leaping all the way to the ceiling in an instant.
“Shit, crazy…!”
“Hup!”
He threw aside the unfamiliar gun and reached out to catch the falling intruder.
And a moment later.
The suited man collapsed, just like his colleague, turned into an electrified roast.
“You’re wearing an expensive-looking suit, but shouldn’t you wear something with better defense?”
The suits the men wore were also special bulletproof and shock-resistant garments infused with Mekrak’s ultra-scientific technology, but they couldn’t block magically charged electric attacks.
Alpha snatched the radio from the first man she had taken down, cleared her throat with a cough, and spoke into it.
“This is the 5th floor! This is the 5th floor! Intruder spotted! We’ve found an intruder! Near the stairs!”
Surprisingly, a deep, masculine voice identical to the man’s earlier one came out of Alpha’s small mouth.
As if that wasn’t enough, Alpha waited a moment before shouting into the radio again.
“Intruder! 8th floor! This is the 8th floor! Intruder found! Too strong!”
“This is the 11th floor! 11th floor! We’ve spotted someone who appears to be a magical girl! Currently fleeing!”
“2nd floor! There’s an intruder on the 2nd floor… AAAAAAAAH!”
Alpha shouted into the radio while freely changing her voice. Panicked voices could be heard from the other side of the crackling radio.
“Well, that should do it.”
Believing she had created enough chaos at the scene, Alpha casually tossed the radio aside.
It wasn’t like every single person in the building would suddenly swarm here.
“Now then, where could they have hidden it so carefully? Shall I take my time looking?”
Having been discovered, Alpha climbed the outer wall and made her way up to the top floor.
She had been a little nervous about falling, but thanks to the skill Wall Walk, it hadn’t been difficult.
After subduing the patrollers, Alpha began leisurely searching for rooms where Cookie might be. It seemed they hadn’t expected anyone to reach the top floor, as there were no other patrollers besides the two men from earlier.
Whenever she spotted a surveillance camera, she smiled and waved at it. Thanks to the Stealth Suit’s ability, no record of her would remain on mechanical footage—though she was visible to the naked eye.
After wandering around for a bit, she finally found a suspicious-looking room.
“It’s locked, but if this is also a spy item…”
Spy Item Lockpick Tool.
A key-shaped tool that could open any lock, whether old-fashioned or electronic.
When she pressed the strangely shaped authenticator against the key device, the thick metal door opened with a message: [Access Granted].
“Whoa……”
Alpha let out an involuntary gasp as she stepped inside.
Inside the room stood rows of pillar-like display stands, each laden with what appeared to be extremely expensive items.
‘Whoa… This looks similar to the Crown of the Ancient King I saw in Location Girl. This one almost looks like the Scepter of Power too. How interesting…’
The fact that they were being stored so securely made it clear these were no ordinary objects. Even the items that simply looked like old antiques radiated an inexplicable noble pressure.
But no matter how she looked, none of them seemed to be where Cookie was being held.
Forgetting the current situation, Alpha walked deeper inside as if sightseeing. The further she went, the higher and more dome-like the ceiling became.
Then her eyes widened at what she saw at the back.
“A door……?”
What stood there was a massive door. So that was why the ceiling was unnecessarily high.
But what was strange was that the door was placed in the center of the room.
There was nothing behind it. It was simply a double door standing alone.
‘The fact that it’s placed so specially means there must be something to it…’
A rope-like barrier had been strung around it to prevent entry. When Alpha carefully reached out, she felt a resistance similar to an electric shock at her fingertips. It seemed she couldn’t extend her hand past the barrier.
‘Can’t go in…’
“Hey, do you know what this is? Guide.”
Alpha asked on a whim. “Guide” was what she called the occasional guidance voice.
She hadn’t really expected an answer, but the guidance voice responded readily.
> This is a gate leading to Magic Land.
To Magic Land…?
Alpha’s mind went blank for a moment.
Why were the Mekrak bastards keeping that?
“Can it be opened?”
> It is sealed with powerful magic and cannot be touched in its current state. Additionally, opening the gate requires a massive amount of magical power.
A massive amount of magical power…
Alpha tried touching the barrier again, but was repelled by the same resistance as before. Rubbing her tingling hand, she looked around but found nothing new.
This was truly strange.
Mekrak and Magic Land were supposed to be enemies.
So why was Mekrak guarding a gate to Magic Land?
No, was this building even Mekrak’s in the first place?
Aside from that bizarre creature, she hadn’t seen any Mekrak weirdos in this building at all. There were Earthlings who had been modified with Mekrak’s technology, but…
Why station guards made entirely of Earthlings?
And so strictly, even at night.
God, she had no idea…!
There had to be some ridiculous secret hidden here. As Alpha stood lost in thought with an uneasy feeling, a mechanical guidance voice spoke.
> It is recommended that you evacuate immediately.
“Why, Guide?”
> Due to contact with the seal earlier, the intruder alert has been activated. Guards tasked with capturing the intruder are expected to arrive shortly.
