Prologue
I was a man who had lived through a lifetime of resentments back in South Korea.
They wanted to go on a trip, and my parents both passed to the heavens together.
They had even tried to take me along, but I was seven years younger and my survival instincts proved stronger.
I attended elementary, middle, and high school.
I never went to the army.
Since my parents were gone, that was one thing I was glad for.
When I laughed and said I was jealous, my friends called me a crazy bastard and laughed along.
I got a job at a company.
It didn’t last long before I got fired.
My boss told me, “If you want to touch a female employee’s ass, at least stab five hundred thousand won for it. No wonder you’re getting yelled at when it’s free,” and I was fired.
I was even sued for sexual harassment.
Whatever happened, it didn’t matter.
Honestly, life is what it is. After living it, I realized none of those things mattered.
People should be born at the right time.
I only learned that after I was born.
Too late, but not too late.
I was born too late to sail the seas, but way too early for super transformation robots.
That had been my dream.
Super transformation robots.
That was probably why.
I got fired from my job, got banned on YouTube, had no money to buy figures, and even got hit by a car while walking down the street.
None of those things were even a slight problem in my life.
“Oh, shit.”
Why?
Because I had just arrived in a world where an impossible power called magic existed.
What did that mean?
Super transformation robots, which modern science could never achieve, could now be attempted with the power of magic.
There was no free lunch.
Would I have to grind to get some certification?
Figures that collectors would line up for—I’d have to beg them to sell me the ones I’d saved back home?
All of them.
Because I could make super transformation robots for real.
As long as I could make them, nothing else mattered.
“Yeah, whatever, fuck it.”
Oh wait.
Fuck it was gone now too.
What was the difference?
