The Perverted Angel
In a certain professor's office at the 17th Academy, a naked woman was repeatedly lifting and lowering her own breasts.
Heavy… Still so inconvenient.
Breasts heavier and larger than her own head. So-called huge tits. The woman was not fond of her massive chest.
Not like I can just chop them off.
The reason was simple. The men of this world hated big breasts. For a woman, a large chest offered no advantage whatsoever. There were a rare few men with the peculiar taste for them, but they were a vanishing minority. Most men preferred a flat chest. They held the negative impression that women with large breasts must have high sex drives. In other words, for women, huge breasts were a flaw, not a feature. That was why some women went around binding them with compression bandages to hide the size. Her chest, however, was far beyond anything a bandage could conceal.
I really can't walk around in human form like this.
The long-eared woman heaved a deep sigh and decided she would have to change into her other form again. It was not transformation magic. Unlike humans, she simply possessed two usable bodies. Her true identity was that of a monster. She could abandon her true human form and shift into her second, animal form. And she far preferred that second form. In it, her chest became small.
"Sis. Stop standing there looking grotesque and change already."
Her younger sister, seated on the sofa, urged her on. Staring at her sister's naked body any longer was going to rot her eyes.
"I was just about to transform anyway."
Poof—!
Soft, billowing smoke swirled around the woman's body.
"Mm."
In an instant she had changed into her animal form. Only once her body had shifted did her face brighten.
"This body really is so much more comfortable."
She smiled with satisfaction and was just pulling the suit from the hanger to put it on when a knock sounded from outside the professor's office.
Knock, knock.
She cleared her throat once and called out.
"Come in. Carrot."
Her name was Santoto. She was the monster professor in charge of Kang Hahwi's class.
It was the second day after my enrollment at the academy. Before heading to the lecture hall, I stopped by the professor's office first to keep my promise to the rabbits.
"You're here. Carrot."
"You're here. Lotus root."
As I stepped into the office, Professor Santoto and Instructor Suptoto greeted me. The two of them sat side by side on the sofa, munching on carrots. That seemed to be their breakfast.
…But why is Instructor Suptoto eating carrots instead of lotus roots?
Didn't she like lotus roots? Then why did she tack "lotus root" onto the end of every sentence? Monsters really were incomprehensible creatures.
Anyway. My reason for coming here was simple. I was going to show the rabbits my angel form. A promise made was a promise that had to be kept.
"Alright then, hurry up and show us that angel form of yours! Carrot!"
"Show us! Lotus root!"
The rabbits fixed me with eyes full of anticipation. They were so excited that puffs of breath were practically snorting from their noses. Even if they were rabbits, the lecherous looks on their faces made me feel a slight revulsion. If a woman had worn that expression, I would have bolted from the room on the spot.
I'll let it slide because they're cute animals…
Before transforming, I first put a question to them.
"Professor. Instructor."
"Carrot?"
"Car… no, lotus root?"
"There won't be any classes today that require using Shinbi, right?"
I had to ask. I could only transform into an angel once a day, after all.
"Don't worry. Today's classes will all take place in the lecture hall. Carrot."
"There won't be any occasion to use Shinbi. Lotus root."
I had my clear answer. Now then.
"In that case, I'll transform."
I decided to show them my angel form. Looks like I wouldn't be practicing my angel transformation at home today either.

"Ooh!"
"Ooooh!"
This was awkward.
"Those abs are incredibly defined! Carrot!"
"I want to lick… no, I want to touch them! Lotus root!"
I stood as still as a wooden post while the rabbits circled around me for a long while, pouring heated gazes over me. The parts they focused on most intensely were my face, my abs… and my nipples……
Why were rabbits this crazy about a man? I could not understand how they could look at a human—not even their own species—with eyes like that.
"Pervert angel! Pervert angel! Carrot!"
"Long live the pervert angel! Lotus root!"
Had they lost their minds? Who was calling whom a pervert here? The longer this went on, the more mortified I felt.
"…Um, can I change back to my original form now?"
"Just a little longer! Just a tiny bit more!"
"Lotus root! Exactly one minute!"
"Really, only one minute."
I counted silently in my head. And when sixty seconds had passed—
Shhhhrrrk—
I canceled the transformation without mercy and returned to my original form.
"Ah…"
"Aaaah…!"
Whether the rabbits sighed in regret or not was none of my business. I had shown them more than enough.
"This form is nice too, but it's a shame you're not undressed. Carrot."
"I want to strip you right this second. Lotus root."
These rabbits had completely lost it. They didn't even seem interested in hiding their true thoughts anymore. I gathered the bag I had left on the sofa, preparing to leave, and asked,
"But if I ever need to use Shinbi during class later, it would be better to put on a top, right?"
"Carrot? Why bother wearing clothes at all?"
"Are you trying to rob me of my enjoyment? Don't wear any! Stay stripped! Lotus root!"
"No… you're the ones who called me a pervert angel. Other students might think the same thing, so wouldn't it make more sense to bring clothes and put them on?"
"Any girl who sends you lecherous looks will be punished the moment she's caught, so don't worry. Carrot."
"Lotus root! Because of the wings growing from your back, you can't wear a top anyway!"
I nodded for now. Once I had a little more free time, I would get a custom-made outfit, I thought to myself.
"Alright. Then I'll be going first."
"Carrot! Wait!"
Professor Santoto hurriedly called me to a halt. I stopped walking and turned my head.
"What is it?"
"You showed us those luscious abs, so as a reward I'll tell you the story I couldn't finish yesterday."
"The story you couldn't finish yesterday… Ah, about the angel who is strong against demons?"
"That's right. Carrot."
Santoto began her tale. To summarize the content: long, long ago, there had existed exactly one archangel who was especially strong against demons. One day that archangel vanished without a trace. Having lost their key military asset, the angels lost the war against the demons.
"…That's it?"
"That's it. Carrot."
Aside from the mere fact that such an angel had once existed, it was completely useless information. She had demanded a Zero Two dance for this scrap of intel? I was so dumbfounded I couldn't even speak. When she saw the disappointment on my face, Professor Santoto hurriedly added more.
"Ah! Come to think of it, the angels used to say this! That the archangel became a transcendent being and ascended to a higher dimension. Of course, that's only the angels' speculation, not confirmed information."
A higher dimension. And a transcendent being…
Could the Transcendent I had met actually be the archangel she was talking about right now? It was possible. The reason my angelic power was strong against demons might be because it was power given to me by an archangel who had been uniquely devastating against them. And the reason the Transcendent had given me the angel transformation ability in the first place might have been because he himself had once been an angel.
It all fits a little too well.
Well, whatever. A small curiosity had been resolved, and I had heard the whole story, so—
"Carrot. Since I told you everything, just one Zero Two dance…"
—I immediately slipped out of the professor's office and headed for the lecture hall. I was never coming back here again.
Class was ordinary. Explanations about dungeons. Types and characteristics of monsters. Various other information studied from books, all while listening to Professor Santoto lecture from atop the teacher's desk.
"Haaah… So sleepy…"
"This is boring. Aren't we going to do any dungeon practice?"
"Dungeon practice on the first day? Come on."
"I heard first-years just sit in the lecture hall like this for a while. It's important to learn about monsters in advance before going into dungeons."
"Is it really that important? There are probably monsters that haven't even been discovered yet."
"It's not like we're going into those kinds of dangerous dungeons. The ones suspected of having undiscovered monsters are for high-ranking hunters."
"Yeah, but I heard even the Illusion Dungeon is way later."
"Stop complaining. Every academy below the 10th is structured with a curriculum like this."
"But why do we even have history class?"
"A nation that forgets its history has no future."
"What are you even saying."
Only a minority of students were concentrating on the lesson. Since they were aiming to become hunters, ordinary classes like this must have felt tedious and dull. And perhaps because of the old-fashioned school-style lecture hall and the boring content, it felt as if I had been transported back to middle school. The only difference from back then was that no one was bullying me, and everything was peaceful.
I always wished for a school life like this… Feels like I've achieved a dream.
As long as I didn't receive excessive attention from beautiful girls, it would be a perfect school life. No matter how consistently I ignored them, the female students never seemed to tire of striking up conversation every break. I really wished they would hold back until my trauma got better.
Come to think of it, Seo I-eung hasn't said a single word to me today.
I was glad she wasn't talking to me… yet somehow I also felt a little disappointed. I had thought we had gotten a bit closer yesterday. I glanced sideways. Seo I-eung's seat was right next to mine. We weren't desk partners or anything. All the desks in the lecture hall were spaced apart.
She's diligently taking the class.
It was a surprisingly earnest sight. As I stared openly at her profile—
"Hm?"
Seo I-eung turned her head toward me. I hurriedly averted my gaze. Was she going to ask why I was staring? While I fretted over that,
Scritch. Scratch.
The sound of a pencil scribbling on paper reached me. And then—
"Hey. This."
Seo I-eung spoke in a small voice and flicked a folded piece of paper onto my desk. A note? When I unfolded it, a memo written in neat handwriting appeared.
Let's have lunch together again today. I don't have any friends.
Ps. Neither do you.
