Prologue: My Dream of Becoming a Magical Girl
When I was a child, I had one dream. It was to become a Magical Girl.
I proudly wrote those exact words on my future aspirations survey... and was immediately summoned by my parents.
“Son, magical girls don’t exist.”
“They don’t?”
That day, my world collapsed. I lost the very force that drove my life. For decades afterward I drifted along, unable to live or die, spending my time in utter meaninglessness.
Then I possessed a body in an urban fantasy world.
...Isn’t this my chance to finally become a Magical Girl?
Mysterious powers, invaders threatening the world. Every condition matched perfectly.
There was just one tiny problem: the body I had taken over belonged to one of those invaders.
It wasn’t a big deal. If I got caught, I’d die at worst. Far more important was the fact that I could actually be a Magical Girl.
