The Lightning Palm Descends
Distance vanished in a blink. He was suddenly upon Yi Yeok, and the Six Immortals Sword came crashing down.
Boom!
Yi Yeok barely caught the blow on the White Jade Immortal Sword. The shockwave shook the world in every direction—violent enough that even Yao Xi would be dragged into it if she wasn't careful.
"Who was it that left me a homeless drifter for years?" Yi Yeok shouted.
"You lot! You're the ones who left me with nowhere to go! Scum like you don't even deserve to live!"
Mugeuk seized the Six Immortals Sword in both hands and drove in.
"Die!"
"The one who's dying is you!"
Yi Yeok opened his mouth. His tongue became a keen blade and shot forth like lightning.
Mugeuk wrenched his head aside and barely slipped the strike, but the Tongue Sword grazed his cheek, shearing flesh and leaving a wound that laid the bone bare.
"Damn it. So close."
Yi Yeok clicked his tongue and fell back. Cold sweat broke over Mugeuk.
"That bastard... a technique this filthy?"
Another shadow struck from behind him. It was Moksun, the short blade.
In that instant a barrier unfurled around his body.
Clang!
Yi Yeok ground his teeth.
"Damn it—that bastard Baek-ri...!"
Mugeuk Daeseon's face hardened. He could no longer afford a moment's carelessness.
"Do not lower your guard," Baek-ri warned.
"He is as cunning as a fox."
"Spare me the nonsense!" Yi Yeok shouted.
"I'm fighting fair and square!"
Baek-ri ignored him and went on.
"The Heavenly Tribulation tracks his qi. No matter how fast he moves, watch the tribulation's flow and you can read his direction."
"You really do need to die," Yi Yeok said, cold as ice.
The sky, still for a breath, shuddered again. Ink-black clouds heaved, and the eye of the lightning began, little by little, to change its shape.
"So they're serious this time."
Yi Yeok swallowed on instinct.
"If we fail to kill him today..."
Mugeuk spoke through clenched teeth.
"Once he passes the Heavenly Tribulation, there will never be another chance to kill him."
Gung-ak and Baek-ri nodded. This was the only chance, and Yi Yeok knew it just as well.
"Wait? No. I can't wait. This has to end now!"
Unless he erased them, he would not know a single day of peace.
Rumble!
The sky split, and the hand of lightning came down. Endless lightning churned within that palm—a blow that would not leave even an immortal whole.
The Illusion Mirror poured out a blinding radiance that shattered into countless shafts of moonlight, and that light closed around Baek-ri.
Yi Yeok sealed him, then charged straight at Yao Xi. Sword in hand, he swung without a shred of hesitation. Spacetime Silver burst outward like lightning from every side—
It descended over the silver light, devouring space itself—and swallowed Yao Xi, and even the Spacetime Silver with her.
