Chapter 0 - The 30th Run
Chapter 0 - The 30th Run
- You have died. -
I saw a head rolling degeul-degeul on the ground.
Before I could even do anything, I was pushed back by the demons again, and died again.
This was my 29th death. No matter how much I tried and tried, the Alliance could never win the Continental War.
'Fucking assholes. They really don't listen to a damn word I say.'
I sighed as I watched the demon soldiers giggling while they stuck my head on a spear.
Back when I first died to them, I used to curse them out.
But as time passed, I realized the real sons of bitches were on our side.
'The Alliance is hopeless now. Fucking bastards, humans, elves, beastkin—everyone's a brain-dead idiot. How can they not follow instructions even once? I even set the table and spoon-fed them, and they still couldn't eat.'
- Death Regression is activating. -
My headless body, the demon soldiers, and my burning castle all faded away.
And what appeared before me was the gray space I pass through for a moment.
'What do I do now.'
I entered the novel I wrote just for fun. And the moment I opened my eyes, my head exploded and I died.
A death for no apparent reason—that was my first life.
The next life was as a soldier on the battlefield.
Only then did I realize the current situation was a war between the Alliance and the demons.
As soon as I realized that, I was trampled and crushed to death by demon cavalry.
After that, I went through all sorts of lives—human, elf, beastkin, commoner, noble, slave, etc.—and died and died again.
I wanted to be born as a demon and live on the winning side, but that was impossible.
I felt like I was going crazy, but after dying about 10 times, I got a skill. Perception Inhibition, was it?
Thanks to that, I could at least lessen the mental shock from dying.
With less shock, I started thinking: how long do I have to keep dying?
Still, I'm the author who wrote this novel, the creator who made this world—this isn't right. Fuck.
I tried to live properly; I mobilized everything to become strong and raised my reputation.
Of course, after struggling like that, I was defeated by the demon army and got my head cut off again.
In my 12th life, I obtained a skill called 'Enlightenment at the End of Death'.
It was a literally fucking broken skill that allowed me to regress to a desired target at a desired time.
'With this, I can finally live! You fucking bastards! You're all dead!'
I thought, and regressed as the Empire's prince, only to be assassinated a year later.
"What the fuck," I said, and tried to regress as a demon to survive! But it said demons aren't supported.
After that, I picked suitable supporting characters and tried everything.
I tried being a renowned general, cosplayed as a prophet with insane foresight, and acted as a negotiator mediating disagreements between the Alliance and the demons—I can confidently say I did every crazy thing possible.
Of course, the result was....
'Total failure.'
In the end, the war with the demons broke out, and the Alliance was wiped out.
The sadder part was that that was the original plot of the novel.
You asking what kind of bullshit that is?
Because I got lazy while writing it and just made it an ending where everyone dies and goes, 'Sob sob! It's so sad!'
No matter how much the mental protection skill Perception Inhibition helped, this was three strikes and you're out.
It was so fucking annoying that I said, "Screw it, fuck everything," and just lived as a degenerate in my 25th life.
With all the experience I'd built up living in this novel, gathering women was super easy.
I took every woman who would later make a name for herself under my wing and educated them very thoroughly.
Watching them go "Master, Master, ah-ang!", I thought, "This is a harem," and while waiting for the impending Continental War, a skill suddenly appeared.
- Skill, 'Excellent Teacher' has been acquired. -
- The probability of completely attracting the opposite sex and making them your own increases significantly. -
- The opposite sex who becomes the property of the skill holder will absolutely obey. -
At first, I wondered what this was.
And in the next life, the 26th, that skill proved to be incredible.
It wasn't just about training women; I managed to use it to move the Alliance, which never listened to a damn thing, at least partially.
'But an idiot is an idiot whether they're dead, alive, or jerking off. In the end, I couldn't win.'
There were many excellent female characters in the Alliance, but on the demon side, there was a crazy woman who surpassed them all.
Unless I did something about that woman, surviving the Continental War was impossible.
In this case, there was only one answer.
The 27th, 28th, and 29th lives. I prepared everything for just one thing.
And as I entered the 30th life, the preparation was finally complete.
- Due to the skill, 'Enlightenment at the End of Death', you can select the target to regress to. -
A serial killer, a bloodthirsty, crazy demon.
...No matter how I think about it, I had to take care of the Demon King, that woman.
