Suicide Invincibility: Awakening Death Absolute Realm
“Kieeeek!!!!!!!”
Clang! Clang!
I chucked the scythe away.
“No way, no way…”
There was no way I could do it. How the hell am I supposed to slice my own throat while I'm stone-cold sober?
I got too cocky. You can't do shit like this in your right mind.
And I'm pretty damn sane, too.
“Okay, fine. I admit it. I'm not that level of psycho.”
The gallery folks kept hyping me up, and I almost bought into it, but I'm no weirdo freak. Far from it.
My motto from the start has always been safety first.
I can't forget my original reason for rushing up past the 100th floor. I skipped training and sped through the climbs not because I'm some speed demon, but to dodge those damn heroes.
…Hmm.
Not in my right mind… safety.
“…!”
An idea flashed in my head.
A situation where I'm not in my right mind. Prioritizing safety.
Something that perfectly matched both clicked into place.
Will it work?
I started typing up a post.
Won't work?
That's what I was thinking when Teacher dropped a comment.
What the hell is Death Absolute Realm?
Teacher kept explaining.
It was exactly what I'd thought of.
A technique that already existed. No such thing as original ideas, huh.
Teacher continued.
Suicide invincibility.
The Death Absolute Realm I'd come up with felt like it had addictive qualities, like a drug.
Makes sense…
Once you try an absurdly OP invincibility skill, you'd crave it nonstop. But eventually, the shortened invincibility time would get you killed twice over.
I nodded in understanding and resigned myself—right then.
Permission I hadn't even hoped for came through.
Why, though?
I was stunned.
Permission granted, but it still felt like forbidden tech—kinda scary.
But.
“Raw suicide scares me more.”
I can't self-decapitate sober anyway. It's only doable right on the brink of death.
I spotted 574F's comment too.
First time these two agree. The comments echoed it.
Plan set.
1. Keep climbing the tower like this.
2. Suicide when it looks like I'm about to lose.
3. Get Instant Death Skill and escape the pinch.
Issue: #2 seems iffy on feasibility. But that's on me not getting greedy.
No need to play aggro ping-pong like in games or wait till HP hits 1. I can just chop if their face screams "you're screwed."
I'll time it loose and safe.
Safe suicide sounds weird, but whatever…
Now nobody can stop me for real.
"Full throttle till I park on 100F."
I wrote my final post.
Level-up stat points: 3.
Magic Power +1, Sense +1, Intelligence +1.
Locked in.
I closed the hologram and headed to the next floor.
“Promotion Battle request.”
The stairs descended.
The long-awaited 10th floor.
Here we go.
Kiiiiiik—
With a heavy grinding sound, the 10F door swung open.
At the center of the floor. [Guardian: Skeleton (10F)]
A skull gripping a chipped greatsword—a skeleton.
Finally, a proper monster.
Clack clack.
The skeleton clacked its jawbones and raised its greatsword.
“Oho.”
Unlike the previous weaklings.
It was taking a battle stance.
As I admired that, it charged.
Swoosh.
It kicked off the floor, and its greatsword filled my vision, slashing down at my crown.
Fast.
But.
I'm faster.
Kaaaaang—!
I twisted the scythe haft to deflect the greatsword's arc.
My wrist tingled a bit.
Decent power for a bag of bones.
But I'm the superior model.
Not just bones, but…
Shiiik—! with muscles too.
I spun into the opening from the deflected sword.
The scythe blade, loaded with centrifugal force, surged toward the skeleton's waist.
Spluuurt! Crack!
With a burst, the skeleton's upper and lower halves separated, flying into the air.
The bones hit the floor and shattered limply.
One hit. Still early-game trash.
The power and agility stats that crushed up to 5F were still paying off.

Promotion reward: 900G acquired!
I opened the stat allocation window.
Magic Power stat +1
Intelligence stat +1
Sense stat +1
Contradictory allocation.
I'm not using a single spell or skill right now.
But everything's for the late game. No biggie.
I slung the scythe over my shoulder and headed to the next stairs.
11F. 12F. 13F.
Still one-shots.
Repeat pattern of slicing innate stat differences.
Doors opened and closed, scattering monster chunks.
Magic Power stat +1
Intelligence stat +1
Sense stat +1
“Oh?”
Fourth Sense point, and my vision cleared up. Sounds and presences sharpened.
Felt second only to Strength in impact.
Intelligence and Magic Power? Nada so far.
“These'll pay dividends later, right…?”
With that hope, I climbed on.
“Promotion Battle request.”
My unstoppable ascent halted hard.
At [Guardian: Mini Stone Golem (20F)]
Opening the 20F door.
“Augh, for real…”
Thud! Thud!
The massive rock golem smashed down with its fists.
Slow speed.
Obvious trajectory to my eyes now.
But tankiness was the issue.
Kaang! Clang! Kagaang!
I battered it relentlessly with the scythe, but only sparks—no cuts.
“Die already!”
Wham!
Aimed for joints, hammered that spot obsessively.
Still tough.
Wham!
Hopped back lightly to dodge a foot stomp, jammed the scythe into a knee joint gap.
Miss again.
Golem's slow, but hitting real-time moving joints is hard.
Agility not high enough, probably.
But it's the only way.
I swung nonstop.
Slash.
“Got it!”
Finally tore the joint weak point; golem knelt.
Exposed the back of its head.
“That's the core, right?”
Leaped up, slammed the scythe vertically into its skull.
Kwaaaang—!
The giant rock shattered into cubes.

“Huff… huff…”
Collapsed on the floor, panting hard.
Not dangerous. Never at risk of eating a hit.
But it took too long.
First real stamina drain.
“Sweat?”
My frilly dress clung heavy and damp.
After sufficient rest, I stood. “Onward.”
21F. 22F. 23F.
Unstoppable momentum.
And 24F.
[Guardian: Orc (24F)]
“O… might die here?”
Suddenly, a tough-looking brute appeared.
Brown-skinned orc.
Spotted me and charged with its axe swinging.
“Jump's slow?”
From outside its attack range, I swung at its nape.
Slaaash—!
Should've decapitated clean.
“Huh?”
Blood sprayed, but bones held.
Won't die?
Early-game Strength/Agility buffs finally wearing off.
Groooar!
Orc roared, axe crashing down.
I backpedaled sharply, uppercut its chin with the haft.
In its stagger, slashed the neck again.
Slash.
Two attacks.
Orc slammed into the floor, down.
“Finally some impact…”
No more one-combos.
But not suicide-worthy yet.
No life threat.
Problem: Fatigue skyrocketed compared to prior floors.
No mention of Stamina stat ever…
Can't invest elsewhere.
So after opening 25F door, double-slicing two red wolves in a row.

…

.
Allocated stats, then flop.
Spread-eagled on 25F's marble floor.
Lying down, opened hologram.
Snapped a status pic.
“Pumped 'em good…”
Pride swelled.
But 'Status' read Fatigue.
“Ughhh…”
Diagnosis hit, and my muscles screamed in unison.
Not even a finger could twitch.
Vision blurred.
“Gotta… post on gallery… then sleep…”
Lifted heavy arm to summon hologram in air.
Fumbling fingertips dropped—thud—to the floor.
Heavy eyelids shut.
Aoong!
