Taboo (9)
Those words sparked a question in me.
A reply came soon enough.
I see.
So this shinigami girl I possessed must've earned her bad rep(?) after my master left the Shinigami Realm.
Hmm.
Is that how it is?
In that case…
Good.
At the very least, I might learn some info on the shinigami girl I possessed. 710F's in a different parallel universe, so they won't know the fallout from me erasing those two names…
That set my master off raging.
Apparently, even running wouldn't be easy.
Instant death the moment I step foot there. No need to ask what happens if you die in the Shinigami Realm. Soul erasure or something like that.
Looked like I'd snuffed out a promising shinigami prospect.
That shinigami's pulling every connection for revenge on me.
"…Hmm."
That was when.
Someone voiced the exact thought I'd had. Risky, but the returns outweigh it, right?
But 710F's reply was negative.
Slash and Gaze are based on different stats, so can't use both effectively.
I got what they meant.
Death Verdict - Slash
Instantly executes one target upon contact with the shinigami's scythe.
Slash requires physically slashing with the scythe, so physical stats are needed.
That was when.
Other high-nicks jumped in.
I scrolled, deep in thought.
"Why does so much not fit…"
Necromancy was the same.
Necromancy clashes with shinigami who aren't attuned to souls. The two Death Verdicts too. Physical stat path vs. magic stat black magic path—totally different.
"……"
But thinking it over.
Clashing only happens under the premise they conflict.
But shinigami and necromancy. Slash and Gaze. MAG stats and STR stats.
Do they really conflict?
No one explained concrete issues with shinigami learning necromancy. Or pumping STR and MAG together.
No real side effects mentioned.
Maybe they don't clash that much?
That led to one conclusion.
'Why not master everything?'
Arrogance, probably. But not baseless confidence.
Circle acquisition that takes others a week? One hour for me. Top-tier Blood Command? Instant. Even impossible Spirit Blood Tea Ritual? Nailed it first try.
…Honestly, nothing in this tower felt impossible right now.
I placed my hand on the hologram keyboard.
Posted a question.
______
Title: What if I just try using everything?
OP: Anon(61F)
I wanna use Death Verdict Slash, Gaze, black magic, and learn necromancy too.
Already an outcast in Shinigami Realm, so who cares?
If it's irreversible, better to milk the situation, right…
But to use Slash, seems I need physical stats. Is spreading stats bad?
Hit post.
Refreshed, and the gallery exploded.
Everyone unanimously trying to talk me out of it.
"Hmm…"
I expected opposition.
Absolutely.
Hearing that, I looked up.
"…None of you escaped."
Everyone posting here failed to find the answer.
The thought flashed, but I shook my head.
"Still arrogance, huh…"
Stat spreading was pretty out there even for me.
Right then.
Someone appeared.
A preface affirming my words.
Text alone, but immense presence.
"Taeheo Sunsinja…"
The high-nick who'd dismissed me and the intruders before vanishing.
Even my master treated them deferentially.
My master cautiously asked.
Moments later.
Taeheo Sunsinja's longpost filled the comments.
"…"
Incredible.
This Taeheo Sunsinja high-nick had mastered every shinigami instakill. Yet couldn't climb the tower.
"Called instakills 'paltry arts'… for this reason…"
"……!"
The hairs on my arms stood up.
No replies to those questions.
He ignored everyone and addressed me directly.
He vanished after that.
"…"
Taboo.
Shinigami learning necromancy. Erasing another shinigami's name from the great slate. Mixing Slash and Gaze. Pumping physical and magic stats together.
And… killing people.
I was primed to gain more EXP than anyone in this tower. Thanks to the intruders.
Might even farm EXP in the Shinigami Realm.
…So.
I might actually pull off all-stats.
"Devour it all…"
To survive.
To escape this tower.
I moved my hand to open the stat allocation screen.
