Anyway, Daji's famously the Nine-Tailed Fox, one of Japan's three most infamous evil spirits.
She's said to still be alive, over 4,000 years old.
She topples the nation as Daji, then gets executed by King Wu.
She struggles, so out comes Jiang Taigong—famous for his Taigong bait.
In the novel Investiture of the Gods, Jiang Ziya's more prominent.
Historically, he's called Jiang Shang...
He uses 40 years of Taoist magic to slay the fox, who is the Nine-Tailed Fox.
After that, she goes to India, then Japan.
In Japan, her name's Wakamo.
Later changes to Tamamo-no-Mae.
Gets found out again, exorcised in Japan, turns into the poison-spewing Killing Stone.
Fun fact: that Killing Stone split in two in 2022.
Timing doesn't match if the seal broke, so probably not her?
