Subspace Arsenal and Fiery Counterattack
In the world of Gloria Saga, the concept of subspace was something truly special. Normally, the total weight of items you could carry in your inventory depended on your Strength stat, but this subspace wasn't bound by physical laws, so it ignored both Strength and weight limits entirely. That's why top guilds desperately sought it out for resupplying consumables or storing loot. The size varied by item grade, but even the smallest ones offered enough volume for a tiny studio apartment—making them incredibly valuable. And for a Legendary-grade item like the Legendary Craftsman's Work Apron, the capacity was practically bottomless; filling it to the brim was the real challenge.
"Probably?"
"Heh heh heh heh heh!"
Vulcan flashed a victor's grin at Tud's hesitant response. He'd added the subspace option to avoid the hassle of scattering tools and materials everywhere during crafting, never imagining it'd come in handy like this. Of course, it might not work. Tud had acknowledged it, but the system hadn't confirmed yet. If rejected, he'd have to empty everything out—but hey, nothing to lose.
He dumped all the materials into the subspace and checked the time.
Usually one or two. But with my skills, three or four should be doable.
6 hours. Long in general, but tight for crafting even one or two items. With Dragon Eye and Legendary Blacksmithing, though, Vulcan could attempt double what others could manage. The real challenge was crafting high-quality items within that window.
With the urgent issue resolved, Vulcan steadied himself and recalled a few recipes. He pulled materials from subspace and dove into crafting.
The workshop materials were all soulbound items, unsellable even if taken out. That let Vulcan use them freely—eagerly, even—to produce better gear. Materials were bound, but finished products weren't. Meaning he could auction them off.
You have completed [……].
"Phew... That was close."
Vulcan filled nearly the full 6 hours, completing four items. Not all were high-grade or maximally useful. Their stats were solid, but against enemies still lurking outside, they might not suffice.
"Not sure if it'll work, but..."
Still, it showed promise. He stowed them in his inventory, then detached the forge and anvil from the ground and tucked them into subspace. Luckily, they were portable by design—now he could craft anywhere.
"About 25 minutes left... Alright. Time to go."
Prepared, Vulcan headed to the exit portal with 25 minutes until forced teleport. Waiting until the last second might unsettle foes or aid evasion, but he wasn't ruling out total defeat.
I won't die by their hands.
He'd try his plan, but if hopeless, he'd retreat inside and respawn. No loot for them, and his revival in town would sow chaos. The 25 minutes factored in retrieving items post-suicide if drops were worthless.
Steeling himself with murderous intent, Vulcan stepped through the portal. His view shifted to the empty boss room ringed by the gang—exactly as before, grinding their teeth in wait.
"Hiding like a rat, huh."
"Thought you could hide forever? Hand over what you took! Or you'll beg for death!"
Vulcan's eyes darkened at their threats. "Beg for death" meant eternal enmity in Gloria Saga—no reconciliation. Infinite PK was understandable: kill repeatedly to grind them down with helplessness. But this? "Gongguri"—locking them in inescapable spots or torturing just short of death until logout. Pure evil, forcing character deletion. Sparks flew in Vulcan's eyes.
"You guys got nothing better to do? Still here?"
Outmatched, he feigned nonchalance. The instance entrance lingered—if needed, dive back in. They knew, holding back.
No reinforcements. No guild marks—they're handling this quietly.
Bonus: same group as before. Extra 200s or one 300 could end him fast, but they kept it secret.
Scanning with Dragon Eye, Vulcan smirked inwardly. Perfect conditions.
"Last chance. Back off clean, no blood."
"Bullshit! Think we're idiots?"
"Uh... you kinda fell for it? Heh."
Confirming they squandered mercy, Vulcan's eyes sharpened.
"Fine. Let's play!"
Whoosh—!!
He struck first, Blessing of Strength pre-activated for inhuman power. Even a Strength-focused warrior couldn't match. He slammed into them before they reacted.
"Self-defense triggered. Attac—...!"
Clang—!
But they anticipated. In PvP, first striker goes criminal; others can attack freely. They swarmed.
"Guh? Wait, this...!"
"?!"
"Not again!!"
Panic hit as their skills targeted Vulcan—yet they got criminal markers. Despite Vulcan striking first.
"Potions!!"
Simple: Vulcan hurled a Health Potion, not explosive. Too fast to notice, it healed them.
"You still threw it?!"
Normally criminal anyway—bottle impact counts as attack.
"Nah."
Not for Vulcan. Potion Toss (Alchemist skill) registered as aid unless poison/explosive. Aiding Vulcan? They became the villains.
"Flames of Justice."
Vulcan slammed his Judgment Mace down. Meant for Fire Nova ring, Divine Mark infused holy power, birthing Flames of Justice.
"Gaaahhh!!!"
"Why won't it go out!!"
"Ice spells! Hurry!!!"
Weaker than Fire Nova base, but vs. "Evil" alignment? Clings 1 minute, unquenchable, drains HP, debuffs stats. Attack + DoT + debuff. And they were criminals—temporary murderers. Full effect.
Desperate spells failed; they charged Vulcan.
"Blaze Step."
New boots boosted speed toward weak spot. Flames erupted per step, thigh-high, threatening and blinding.
"Where—! Bash!"
A 200-level light-armor warrior intercepted. Agility-focused, blocked escape. But fearing one-shot, used Bash—knockback over damage.
"Lava Shield!"
Vulcan swapped to massive stone-like shield, igniting surface molten.
Lucky again.
Third option skill. Normally rare or level-locked, but Item Master let Vulcan exploit Item Power.
"Guh?!"
Sizzle!!
Sword met shield—warrior screamed. Blade glowed red, burning wielder. He recoiled; Vulcan shoved, searing flesh.
"Kaaaaahhh!!!"
Not lethal, but agony unbearable even at low pain sensitivity. Vulcan dashed away, tossing potions at PK blockers.
"Fall for it agai—!"
BOOM!!
Real this time. Sword shattered bottle—special explosive erupted, clearing path with heavy damage.
"Cough!!"
But a tamed tiger (hunter's pet) pounced, heavy Strength hit staggering Vulcan. Midway traps everywhere too.
They trapped the whole damn thing.
Dragon Eye revealed hidden traps, but navigating slowed him. One misstep = ankle grab, game over. Level gap too wide despite tricks.
Instead of exit, Vulcan veered, blasting explosives.
"Urk!"
BOOM! Crash! Crash!!
Scattered them. Damage non-lethal to non-mages, but disoriented perfectly.
Stab!
His sword riddled them. Loot popped from mage/hunter—ignored. No rares, no rush.
"You bastard!"
"Grab him! Hold just a sec!!"
Shield knight held, but trauma froze him.
"You blew your shot."
200s charged; Vulcan eyed coldly, diving into his own flames. Blaze Step amplified in fire.
"Running again!!"
"Filthy rat! You can't escape!"
Escaped once more, but now boxed: one at exit, one at instance.
"Run more?"
Trapped.
"Run? You're delusional."
No more fleeing—avoiding hassle, not fear. Vulcan bared feral grin, final warning.
"Now you run."
"...?"
Giant Fire Lizard Hador Respawn Time – 00:00:01
"KIRRAAARRRR!!!!"
A massive form erupted between them. Giant Fire Lizard Hador, boss respawning on schedule. Vulcan had timed it perfectly.
"Hmph! Think stalling helps?!"
No panic—they were 200s; Hador just annoying fire-spewer, silenced in minutes by level gap.
"Why not?"
BOOM! BOOMMM!!
Those minutes? Gold. Vulcan hurled explosives wildly.
"What?!"
Target odd—not them or Hador, but wall. Not dynamite-level, but stacked cracks formed.
Wall crumbled, boulders fell.
"Suicide pact?!"
Fearing breakout, they yelled—but held. Boss walls tough. Better end Hador, grab Vulcan quick.
Stab!
Until Vulcan's new pickaxe smashed in. Wall softened like pudding.
"Haaahhh!!!"
No skill, pure destruction. Burrowed fast; panic set in.
"You psycho!!"
"Heh heh heh! Verdict Strike!!"
Didn't stop—faster, harder, then Verdict Strike pulverized remainder.
WHOOSH—!!!!
Scorching heat—no, flame storm—surged. All pits but nest erupted pillars. Vulcan linked one; devouring blaze consumed all.
"Told you. You need to run."
Sizzle—!!!
Amid inferno, Vulcan grinned demonically. Immune to all flames.
