Transparent Dragon? No Such Clan Exists
A transparent dragon? No such clan exists, but considering my current state, it's not entirely wrong. Anyway.
As if displeased, the transparent dragon furrowed its brow and shook its head helplessly. Its fist-sized body swelled up in an instant, reasserting its presence once more.
"!!"
The massive form filled the treasure warehouse. Only then did Vulcan truly recognize that his opponent was a real dragon. With a deafening roar of Kraaaah!, it was insanely powerful—whether it was the strongest among dragons was unknown, but the overwhelming pressure and presence it exuded made even Vulcan, famed for his grit, shrink back.
- Human artisan. You have passed my trial. I shall accept you, faithful to your craftsman's desires over greed for wealth, as my incarnation.
Trial? No greed for wealth? What kind of nonsense was this? Was it because he'd grabbed ores instead of gold coins?
'No, more importantly... human artisan?'
Vulcan felt wary yet puzzled by the dragon's words echoing in his head. Forced class change or not, it wasn't wrong, but the dragon seemed to mean something beyond his current state.
"I'm not an artisan, though...?"
- What? That can't be.
At the timid response, the dragon peered down at Vulcan again. Reading something, it scowled deeply and shrank back to its small size.
- Damn. What went wrong?
Flying around Vulcan's head in its fist-sized form, poking and prodding, the dragon finally realized the issue. No matter how many times it checked, Vulcan's original class wasn't artisan-related.
- You. How does a non-artisan have such deft hands?
That's what I want to ask. A dragon that forcibly class-changed a warrior-class character shouldn't be the one saying that... Vulcan wanted to retort but couldn't voice it. He just timidly tried again.
"I picked it up just to survive... So, are you backing out?"
- Impossible. I didn't expect this. I thought you'd need at least advanced artisan skills for those hands... Eh! No choice now. Just be my incarnation. Things got messed up, but that skill means you have the bare minimum talent.
"Ah... screwed."
He'd expected it since the forced class change was done, but hearing the refusal confirmed it. Vulcan unwittingly sighed.
- What?
"Ow!"
Waaang!! Kwaak!
In that instant, the hovering transparent dragon gaped wide and chomped Vulcan's head. No damage, but the sting of teeth was felt.
- Know it's an honor! You dare not grasp the greatness of being this body's incarnation!
Pang! Pang!!
Still fuming, it perched on Vulcan's head, stomping with feet and lashing its tail.
"Ugh! I get it, stop! Stop!!"
Even moving didn't shake it off; it kept pounding. Vulcan clutched his head and screamed. Not unbearable pain, but it'd continue if left alone. After venting awhile longer, the transparent dragon sat squarely on his head and continued.
- Hmph! Idiot. Soon you'll bow and thank me. I don't know your past strength, but you'll surpass it vastly.
"Huh? Strength? Not crafting power?"
Vulcan lifted his head cautiously now that the violence stopped, puzzled. Wasn't the legendary job production-based?
- Exactly. I know what you're thinking. It depends on you, but even mediocre skill will make you untouchable to most. I'll make it so.
Arrogant beyond belief, but it was a dragon—the pinnacle of lifeforms, legendary in Gloria Saga, never truly seen. Vulcan had to accept it. Instead, he hinted at his inner thoughts.
"So... I could get rich too?"
He eyed the piled treasures around him. As its incarnation, weren't they his? Whatever its goal, his quick growth would benefit it too.
- Of course. You could sweep the continent's riches if you wanted. Your gear will be priceless, no matter the offer.
But Onyx gave a different answer. Not the warehouse loot Vulcan eyed humbly, but a grand future owning all worldly wealth.
'If I craft proper gear, not wrong...'
Vulcan grasped it instantly. Legendary-class gear would fetch any price. Epic+ at least, but special classes couldn't mass-produce top tiers, so he'd filter wisely. His chest swelled with expectation—maybe truly immense power, as promised.
But first, confirmations.
"Um, will you stick with me?"
- Yes. I shared some power, but leaving it all to you? Who knows the time. No choice.
No pet, but a possessing NPC companion class? Unheard of. He'd hoped for quest-only appearances to avoid nagging, but alas, wishful thinking.
"You'll draw a lot of eyes..."
- No worry. Only you, my incarnation, can see me.
That was better. Invisible to users and NPCs. Otherwise, constant stares would hinder hidden growth.
"Okay. What do I call you? Tud? Dragon-nim? Master? Or... ah, Onyx-nim?"
- Heh! You know my name well. Of course, none ignore this great one's name.
From dungeon entry info, but Onyx puffed up anyway.
- Forget it. No intent to use that old name. What I impart is unrelated.
Despite the pride, the words were negative—abandoning Onyx.
"Then...?"
- Whatever. Last whimsy, no name pushed. No need to cling. Tud. Yes, Tud fits. Transparent Dragon. Perfect for my uniqueness. Call me Tud-nim from now.
That name means more than that... Vulcan held back, but if it satisfied, no point arguing.
Your class name has been changed.
Onyx's Incarnation has been changed to Tud's Incarnation.
The class name changed to match. Just nominal, but awfully arbitrary. Vulcan took a deep breath.
"Yes, Tud-nim. Excuse me a moment."
Finally ready to face reality. Asking Tud's leave, Vulcan checked his new legendary class.
He opened the status window.
Clean slate. Level reset wiped everything he'd built. Stats from levels, special stats from deeds—all gone.
'Screwed.'
Only useless dexterity survived.
'Those special stats and skillbook skills...'
He'd anticipated, but losing special stats and skills hurt. Memories flashed; he swallowed the urge to rage. More to check.

'Skills, check skills!'
Job info showed no intuitive skills. As expected, massive crafting bonuses, but even the type was hidden. Vulcan opened the skill window.
Level 1 meant few skills, but basics would reveal the type.
"?!"
No crafting skills. Just one—unheard even by long-time Gloria Saga player Vulcan.
Dragon Eye [Legendary] [Passive]
Manifest the will through the absorbed dragon's eye to pierce the target's status and essence.
◈ Rank: S
'S-rank on acquisition?'
Legendary grade made sense as job skill. Vision skills were essential even for non-ranged. Good start. But S-rank from the get-go? Skills started F, ranked up with use. This was endgame. SS+ existed in lore, but post-3-years-launch, few hit A, none S. Practical max.
'Insane.'
Job secrets unknown, but Vulcan couldn't stop grinning. Other skills? Level too low.
'Now, just grab these treasures...'
- Such hassle. No time. Move now.
"Yes?!"
Wooong!!
A blue gate appeared before Vulcan. Recognizing the teleport, his face paled. Can't leave like this—abandon all that gold?
Weight exceeds limit. Cannot move.
Vulcan tried fleeing the gate desperately, but trouble: reset strength to 1 made prior weight exceed limit massively. Feet stuck like glued, arms couldn't reach the gold mountain.
- Hya!
Peok!
Tud, annoyed by the flailing, flew in. Tiny feet together in a dropkick.
"Nooooo!!!!"
Swoosh—
One square. That shock moved him one square—straight into the gate, sucked away helplessly.
