Fifteen Years Later, Sucked into Blue Soul
Released on October 5, 20XX. The game Blue Soul. Or Blso for short. It wasn't praised for its RPG elements, balanced progression, or captivating story—hell, forget all that. What earned it rave reviews were the stunningly gorgeous illustrations.
It was the game that handled my childhood sex ed, back when I was Ian. Take this example: 2D animated female characters reacting to your every move, letting you train them to your exact tastes. Turn a sharp-tongued, prickly beastkin into a quivering mess with just a few words, depending on your build. That satisfaction was pure bliss. The devs nailed the users' desires perfectly, so it blew up among that crowd.
But as time dragged on, the typical game company greed kicked in—aggressive cash grabs. Declining quality as the cash cow bloated. Even the diehards clinging to their waifus finally let go because of one thing. Simple.
...
"...What."
I reread the alert window hovering before me. So, let me get this straight. They scrapped the guaranteed star-up system for the characters. Replaced it with pure RNG. Kept resources scarce as fuck. No pity system or anything—if you fail, months of grinding evaporate into thin air.
Fine, shit happens once. But then...
Target: 6-star Yuria
Target: 6-star Saber (Lawrence Hotse)
Target: 6-star Yuria
Target: 5-star Little Heavenly Demon (Cheondo-hwa)
Target: 6-star Caster (Violet)
Target: 6-star Sigurd (---)
Rigged probabilities, you fucking bastards. In just 10 seconds, my 10 months vanished.
After burning through every last resource I'd hoarded, I finally snapped out of it and hovered my finger over the delete button. I'd sunk over five years into this game, so yeah, there was hesitation. But at my age, real life trumped game characters.
The game's profile trembled on my screen, like it was begging me not to go. But characters and attachments? No chance I'd see them again. I hit the red X, powered off my phone. Knowing it was all the devs' bullshit eased my mind.
That was 15 years ago.
One late night...
"Not even a decent ya-game from my mom."
In a fit of nostalgia, craving one last look at their illustrations before servers shut down, I reinstalled the game. And got sucked right in.
…Normally, a sane person waking to a changed world wouldn't jump to "Whoa, isekai'd?" They'd think, "Kidnapped?" Check for a hospital. Or at least grab their phone for emergency services.
But I knew instantly this was that game world. Because...
"..."
My arms and legs wouldn't move. Bound in endless darkness, body floating midair. Too vivid for a dream. And right there, the sole light: a holographic window with familiar font and names.
Please select your revival location.
1. ???Heavenly Demon Cult Center.
2. Dark Sanctuary.
3. The End of the World.
4. Holy Kingdom Basement.
5. Secluded Cabin.
The text window was burned into my brain. I'd half-expected it, but...
...Did I just die?
Starting in some terminal chuuni spot? And revival? No such mechanic for the protagonist. Something major went down while I was gone.
How'd I know this was that game from 15 years ago? Those five options—most were familiar. I'd named Heavenly Demon Cult and Dark Sanctuary myself. Gave one girl her 5-star "Little Heavenly Demon" title and built her cult guild. Dark Sanctuary was my old guild...
'Ugh. Cringe in hindsight.'
Three hours after waking here. Fingers finally movable, like the tutorial easing you in—skipping gacha, mail, distractions. Annoying design, but no choice.
'Fifteen years later, everything's a blur. Protagonist wasn't even strong.'
Game let you swap mains for combat, so protagonist was vague. Memories? Faded dungeon patterns, strats, and the quickest route to buy "Ultra Aphrodisiac Onahole Hottie Potion" for those must-see scenes.
"If my characters forgot me, or got wiped..."
No, don't go there. Dark Sanctuary was a guild base—defend invasions to hold it. Red players' hub, constant raids from salty guilds. Wars three times a week. Yet the name endured...
'Means my characters—or guildmates sucked in too—held it down.'
Not guaranteed I was the only one pulled in. Guild's safest bet to assess.
"Dark Sanctuary... Fuck, why'd I change it to that?"
Back when I took guild lead and renamed it, players griped. Now I got it.
Selecting Dark Sanctuary blacked out my vision.
…
"System."
First thing I called on arrival. Clicking air did nothing. No status window.
"Was this in the guild?"
Casually opening... a coffin?
Former Item Name: Master Ball.
Creator: -----___Passed through someone's hands once more.

Guild prank item—top-tier coffin. Could hold a final raid boss for months. Never used as intended. Mostly stuffed rude players inside for weeks as punishment.
Key point: I was inside.
"...Fuck."
This needed admin commands to escape—even ops.
...Not dead. Captured?
Squeezing out the master password unlocked it. I shuddered, cringing at my chuuni past.
"..."
Turning, endless flower vases gleamed—freshly watered. Guild wasn't abandoned.
Then—
????Dark Empress - Yuria enters. Threat Level: SSS+++
Get out of there NOW.
The doorknob rattled with a click.
