Chapter 15
Chapter 15
The Adventurer Successfully Conquers the Dungeon
“If the enemy uses a mage’s method, then we deal with them like we’re facing a mage.”
At first, it sounded like complete nonsense.
Deal with them like a mage?
Were they going to form some kind of anti-magic formation?
Their magic force wasn’t nearly sufficient for that.
There were several ways to counter a mage, but the most common was anti-magic tactics.
However, as Dudley said, a poorly constructed counter-magic strategy might end up just giving Kasla openings to adapt.
Siwoo shook his head.
“No, we’re just going to break through.”
“…What?”
Dudley blinked in confusion.
Siwoo continued calmly.
“Magic is a powerful offensive tool, but its strength comes at the cost of long casting time through mana synchronization. Kasla is no different.”
“...True.”
“So he uses orc soldiers as shields. He also creates chaos to disrupt our judgment. In the end, Kasla’s weakness is the same as any mage’s weakness. We just break through it. Along with their shields.”
Break through the orc wall.
In theory, it made sense.
If that worked, the orc forces would be drastically reduced, and Kasla would struggle to cast spells properly.
But that was only in theory.
Dudley imagined it.
Fighting orcs head-on.
There was no way it ended well.
Orcs were a combat race. Fighting them in pure physical combat was dangerous.
And here, under the blazing sun of the plains, visibility and heat would only favor them more.
“Siwoo, if we go with a frontal assault, we’re at a huge disadvantage. Humans don’t easily beat orcs one-on-one.”
“I know. But you’re not the ones fighting the orcs directly. Elise and Rinsu will handle that.”
“…I see.”
…Yeah right.
What kind of ridiculous plan was that?
“Elise and Rinsu? You mean your subordinates? The axe-wielding woman and the sword user?”
“Yeah.”
Dudley hesitated before speaking.
“To be honest, I had a diviner check your party. The axe girl is around floor 11 level, the sword girl around floor 10.”
“So?”
“That’s not enough to beat orcs. Those monsters are at least level 20 threats.”
That kind of thinking didn’t apply here.
This wasn’t a game.
Levels were not absolute.
Siwoo trusted his team.
“Elise. You can do it, right?”
“Of course, Captain.”
A girl who killed three bears at age ten.
“Rinsu. Show me your skills.”
“I’ve been waiting for that, my captain.”
A swordswoman who dedicated her entire life to the blade.
“Then it’s decided. Let’s go.”
Leaving Dudley and the rest behind, Siwoo walked forward.
Now, it was time to choose.
Run away…
Or trust them.
“Damn it. I doubt we’re gonna die anyway.”
Dudley laughed and followed.
