Completion Afterword: Gratitude and Ramblings
Notice: This is the completion postscript and casual chit-chat. First and foremost, I want to extend my sincerest thanks to all of you who've read this story up to now. As best as I can recall, I started writing it in early February, not long after the Novelpia site had launched. I was sleeping soundly when suddenly the urge hit me—"Hey! I wanna write some smut!"—and I plopped down in front of my laptop without a second thought. Before I knew it, a full year had slipped by as I embarked on this journey: long if it felt long, short if it felt short.
The author nickname Horollo Grandfather—what can I say... I came up with it imagining a grandpa reading fairy tales to his grandkids, but swapping in erotic tales instead. Hmm... though I did regret it a little when the Novelpia folks went, "You're Horollo Grandfather, right?" Ahem. Anyway, back then, gender-swap and TS stories were ruling Novelpia, so diving into the niche genre of female knights naturally meant rough going at first—low views, few bookmarks, tons of stress in those early writing days. And after a month or two, my long-ignored hemorrhoids(...) piled on top, leaving me parked on a donut cushion for the next half year, ass glued to the laptop.
Over that time, the readers who loved my work kept growing, even to the point of illegal shares popping up. Drunk on it or not, I got a smug little high thinking, "Eh, this is decent, right?" and indulged in full-on brainrot. I got petty-jealous of my close little bro outdoing me, stressed over my writing that just wouldn't flow, even dreamed about it while sleeping. This story holding all those joys and sorrows—what the hell, right? Haha.
But honestly, that's exactly why I didn't quit and poured even more effort in. It's my kid, after all—the characters I made—so ditching it midway irresponsibly would've been rude to you readers and to my son the orc. I just gritted my teeth and powered through on spite alone. Lol.
Early on, criticisms about me across communities—"This thing's childish as hell, skip it"—shocked me hard, and even now my heart pounds opening the comments. But the fun outweighed it all. I aimed from the start for something light, perfect for killing time, hammering home my conviction (or whatever you call it) that lewd corruption is the true essence of eros. With my amateur skills, my little efforts in writing it—whether they brought you joy, who knows. Maybe it felt like kindergarten scribbles to some, or just the right casual read to breeze through for others. That's your call as readers, so I won't say more.
But one thing I have to get across at the end: From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who read and loved The Correlation Between the Lewdly Corrupting Female Knight and the Orc. You made it a great, fun experience. Your humble servant Horollo Grandfather will come back with better stuff next time. Thank you!
