Why Aren't the Anomalies Eating?
The Anomaly Gallery post about the new anomalies I'd taken charge of managing. Strangely, when I managed them with affection, they kept breaking down.
I shouldn't expect help from these ghosts on anomaly matters. These specters had no idea about the beauty of anomalies. They were the type to torment them and drag them to hell somehow.

Adding the 5 coins I just got to the ones from fully subduing anomalies, I had a total of 9 coins.
Everyone chimed in one by one. Hiring staff didn't seem necessary yet since I was managing well. Same for martial arts.
I could handle them decently with the sickle and chains. No issues capturing anomalies so far, but I wasn't sure about my exact level.
He had a point. Without stats, strength wasn't intuitive, so analysis had limits. There was a similar item anyway.

I solved the Anomaly Gallery quiz again.
Excluding me, it seemed like a gallery just for anomalies.
Killing people. That's what happens without proper management. Like my Mary, this anomaly needed thorough education and care.
At the same time, I wanted to touch the anomaly in the metal diving suit. What would it feel like? Barnacles making it rough? Or rust giving a weird texture? Too curious. And it could even talk.
My phone rang. It was the team leader.
"Hello?"
"Jeongchan, got time? Suddenly more anomalies, people not returning from sewers. Need to check it out, short on manpower. Can you help?"
"Perfect."
"Got weapons? Yeah? Bring 'em."
The world looked like reality, but as an anomaly-infested place, humans were strong too.
Taboo procedures and surgeries were allowed, people awakened one day, and surviving anomalous phenomena or anomalies made them stronger.
Of course, going mad before getting stronger was more common... but no one denied the strengthening.
Especially from 9th grade, they were beyond human. Like Team Leader Nahee warming up by lightly swinging her iron mace right in front of me.
"Normally you shouldn't enter yet, but you pulled it off, so permission granted. Here."
It was the rulebook.
"Memorize this. Sewers have intelligent anomalies, can't give original. This summary's enough."
Sewer anomalies are intelligent. Do not enter with guidelines. Memorize these before entering.
1. Do not fall into the central waterway. No way out, no matter what.
2. If water rises, escape immediately. Mind item 1.
3. Delirium and disorientation increase with distance and time. Use drugs, attach glow patches or place light sticks to avoid looping. But do not carry bright fluorescents. Draws anomaly attention.
4. Sewer anomalies: divers, goblins, tentacle types. Good news: killing them doesn't make respawns stronger.
5. You'll hear voices of stranded people sometimes. If it smells bad, beware. High chance it's not human.
6. Exits via ladders midway. Do not use non-rusted ladders. Those aren't ladders.
"Memorized? Then take these."
Team leader handed me some syringes.
"Anti-delirium drugs. Use as needed. And wear these."
Slip-resistant boots too. She casually grabbed her iron mace.
"Let's go."
Following procedure, I opened my eyes in the dim sewer.
Floor slick with grime, walls damp with moss. Central waterway reeked of rot.
I remembered this sensation. Had to provide it for anomaly management.
"Need to find missing people. Where to start? Anywhere you wanna go?"
