The Three Ultimate Facilities
Many people misunderstand this, but simply maxing out every number in the Guild Management Window isn’t the end. Just like how an online game only truly begins at max level, a Game Master only gets to think, ‘Ah, I’ve actually run a guild,’ once the Guild Management Window becomes obsolete.
Anyway, that’s enough rambling. Today, we’re going to talk about facilities. Because of the high degree of freedom, there are an enormous number of facilities available to GMs, and debates about the tiers of each one are endless. Even the best final-tier facilities spark a lot of discussion.
And if Professor Lee were to ask me, I would name about three facilities as the ultimate endgame options in GM.
— Facilities —
……
The first is the International Airport.
We’re starting off big. Yes, that famous International Airport. It allows for smooth takeoffs and landings of aircraft and grants enormous advantages to both domestic and international activities. In addition, the surge in floating population can revitalize the local economy, and during that process, the guild can tie its businesses into it for massive profits. Above all, the word “international” means it serves as a bridgehead for overseas expansion.
The downside is that the construction difficulty is absurdly high.
The description says it’s a facility you must build if you want to raise your guild’s status to a world level, but in reality, without two or three Champions League trophies under your belt, you can’t even dream of constructing it. Still, the effect is certain. Personally, it’s the one I recommend most out of the three…
……
The second is the Certified Item Auction House.
It’s an auction house that many people look for. It’s essentially the underground auction houses we all know, brought up to the surface. The key point to remember here is that it’s not “private” but “certified.” Bureau certification! That’s the core.
Five stars. It’s one of the few facilities where Bureau mages are dispatched.
Its role is no different from any other auction house. The scale, however, is on another level. Not only do Bureau mages personally appraise items, but because it’s a legitimate, above-ground auction house that’s officially permitted, you can expect rare items from not just the country but from neighboring nations to all flood in. If you can build it, there are few facilities that offer such comfortable profits. The only catch is raising your favorability with the Bureau…
……
The third is the International Mana Stone Exchange.
Many of you are probably tilting your heads. Unlike the previous two, you might not have heard of it much.
But this exchange is the real hidden honey pot.
The exchange mediates the buying and selling of mana stones and provides a market where investors can trade. The data from these markets, when combined with data from exchanges in other countries, plays a crucial role in determining global mana stone prices.
It provides a safe trading environment, guarantees reliability such as quality and origin, and ensures market transparency. Within this environment, various investment products can be operated to generate economic gains.
The reason this is honey is because it’s one of the few windows through which a guild can directly interface with…
……
That’s it. Greedy people might think about building all three. Let me say this in advance: if you build one, you won’t be able to build the others. The other final-tier facility candidates I didn’t mention are similar.
Therefore, choose carefully…….
End of ‘Facilities’ section
― From Lee Shin’s GM Beginner’s Must-Read Guide, ‘Facilities’ section
Bang―!
“We’re building all of them!”
A darkened space.
Facility lists displayed on the screen.
People swallowing nervously in their seats.
In that place, Lee Shin slammed his hand against the screen and raised his voice. Whether the several-million-won smart board broke or not, he didn’t care. Full force!!
The Olympus Magic Tower, research labs and factories of famous item manufacturers, expansion of export and import hubs, and even the towering landmark building that would represent a famous group like a trophy…
“We’re building every single one. Everything Busan needs, everything Mir Guild needs, and everything for the ideal I dream of. The International Airport is just the beginning.”
Snap―!
The moment Lee Shin flicked his fingers with a crisp sound, the magic dispelled and the blocked space was released.
The darkness that had been swallowed by gathered light brightened for a moment… and what soon appeared was the dazzling panorama of a city. It was downtown Busan.
That’s right.
Surprisingly, this place was a bus.
A specially manufactured double-decker bus created solely for this ‘Mir Innovation Vision Presentation’ by Lee Do Motors, with the entire second floor made of transparent reinforced plastic so passengers could view the city while moving.
Just then, the bus was crossing the Yeongdo Bridge, and Lee Shin continued speaking while looking outside.
“Once the airport is completed, Busan will be connected to the world. League fans from across the globe and countless hunters will flock here. Even if it’s just to see our Mir Guild.”
“So I thought about it. If we’ve opened a path connecting Busan to the world, what should we do with Jung-gu, the district closest to Yeongdo?”
Jung-gu, which included Central-dong connected to Yeongdo by a single bridge and Nampo-dong famous for Jagalchi Market.
For now, they would look at it together.
“If you look to the right, you’ll see buildings belonging to subsidiaries of the Rothschild family, with whom I have a connection. Across from them are buildings of the Namgoong Sega. That building over there was purchased by my bro, MK. And the construction site you see now is the tower being built by my older brother Muhammad.”
Besides those, buildings displaying advertisements from the four major groups were visible, and various construction projects were already underway.
In other words.
“……As it’s close to our Mir Guild, Jung-gu is already lined with companies related to me.”
If someone simply thought, ‘Ah, they’ve already received so many benefits. No need to develop it further,’ they’d be a fool.
And if someone thought, ‘Let’s start a hospitality business like lodging or tourism targeting them!’ they’d be average.
Experts think further ahead.
“……Let’s put shackles on them so they can never leave! Diamond shackles that won’t come off even if we urge them to go!”
“Yes, that would be the International Mana Stone Exchange.”
The moment an actual photo of a mana stone exchange appeared on the screen, everyone present dropped their jaws in unison.
International? Mana stone? Exchange…?!
A market for buying and selling mana stones on a small scale, and on a large scale, an institution that adjusts mana stone prices, coming to our Busan?
Wait… does that even make sense? Is that really possible?!
“I was going to explain the exchange while we’re at it, but judging by your eyes, I think I can skip it. First, to answer your question: yes, it is possible. Other people might not be able to, but I can.”
If an airport was originally a national project, an exchange was closer to a public institution.
A management body for public benefit rather than personal gain.
So how could Lee Shin make it possible?
He showed them. Lee Shin pulled out several envelopes from his coat.
“Let’s start lightly with letters of consent from the four major groups. Taeyang, Shinseong, Girin, and Lee Do all support the exchange to be built in Busan. Each bears the signature of their respective chairmen.”
“This is the letter of consent that arrived from the Rothschild family last night. They agree to the establishment of the exchange. It even carries the personal seal of Grand Duchess Evelyn Rothschild.”
“This one includes MK of MK Records, Wall Street investment firms, and representatives of American guilds. The content is the same.”
“The letter from China contains signatures from the Namgoong Sega, Cheonma Shingyo, and other Chinese sects. My foolish older brother worked hard for this. Oh, don’t misunderstand. The red stamp isn’t blood… *sniff sniff*. Uh, ahem.”
“This one is from older brother Muhammad. That gold leaf? It’s real gold.”
Did you catch on?
Yes. All you had to do was persuade the powerful individuals. The moment Lee Shin’s wicked Charm (101) turned them into allies, the public became ours.
“Please look to the left. As you all know, that is Yongdusan Park. That is the planned site for the exchange.”
They would completely demolish this outdated facility that had become a playground for pigeons at some point.
In its place, they would build a splendid exchange while preserving only the tower.
There would be plenty of parking space, a beautiful park could be created, and the connected Central-dong and Nampo-dong would also receive benefits.
“The exchange to be built in Jung-gu carries great significance. It will become Asia’s global hub that gathers finance, mana stones, and guilds, just like the exchange on New York’s Wall Street or the City of London branch in Britain.”
While everyone was stunned by an idea so outrageous that ordinary people couldn’t even imagine it, Lee Shin flashed a wicked smile as if showing off how he had bewitched them.
Meanwhile, the bus had already left Jung-gu and was heading toward Dong-gu.
Dong-gu, where Busan Station and the port were located.
This area had already been decided. Trains moved, ships docked.
And soon, airplanes would be coming and going nearby?
Airport, port, railway.
When those three formed a trinity, what came to mind? Logistics!
This place would become a logistics hub!
“The place we’re passing right now is behind Busan Station. Yes, there’s nothing here. Haha, it’s quite clean.”
What had been built as a park was now overgrown with weeds, and the high-rise building that had aimed for an ocean view stood alone and forlorn.
It was barely known because Mir Guild operated a water taxi there, but it was land that had been forgotten by most people’s memories.
“We’re going to build factories and research labs here. Huh? Wait a second. I think I just heard a slight sound of disappointment. Are you disappointed that while that side gets the exchange, this side only gets factories and research labs?”
It wasn’t wrong. Honestly, the previous one had been too flashy.
An International Mana Stone Exchange. Even after chewing on it, their hearts still fluttered.
Compared to that, factories and research labs were good, but perhaps because of the stimulus threshold, it didn’t hit the same.
But once again, the moment Lee Shin pulled something out from his coat, everything changed.
“Even after seeing this?”
Swish―!
Something unfurled like a roll of toilet paper that had been dropped.
The people nearby looked at it curiously, then their eyes widened as if they would tear apart.
It was a collection of business cards from companies currently selling guild-related products around the world.
“I accepted everything I could get. So far, we’ve received firm commitments for eighteen factories and eight research labs. The people in charge at each manufacturer are probably busy scouting sites right now.”
Less than the exchange? Then they would crush it with sheer volume.
In fact, this would likely create the most jobs.
It wasn’t for nothing that he had emphasized the convenience of transportation.
The best way for citizens to feel the success of a policy and the growth of a city with their own skin was money. At least, that was what Lee Shin believed.
“Don’t be blinded by fame or prestige. Skyscrapers piercing the sky? Foreigners crowding the downtown area? What use is that? It’s not even my money. In the end, money has to go into my wallet.”
“Only when life is stable can people have leisure, and only when they have leisure can they cheer for the guild. Just as I worry about the citizens’ wallets for the sake of the guild, I hope you all don’t forget this fact. You are the representatives of the citizens, after all.”
At Lee Shin’s sharp gaze, the people—Busan’s politicians—shrank back.
Well, it was fine if they forgot.
If they forgot, he could just replace them with better parts. That was all.
To Lee Shin, fans who would cheer for his guild were important. The district office heads and National Assembly members over there were of no importance whatsoever.
While Lee Shin issued what was essentially a warning, the vehicle had already passed through Dong-gu and arrived in Busanjin-gu.
The location of Seomyeon, Busan’s largest downtown area. It was the geographic and cultural center of Busan.
“There was nothing to worry about here either. There was something that fit perfectly. This right here.”
The screen lit up brightly, displaying photographs of dazzling buildings.
Buildings far more glamorous than the exchange, more stylish and aesthetically pleasing than the airport.
“The Certified Item Auction House. For Busanjin-gu, this is the perfect fit.”
At Lee Shin’s words, the gathered people nodded their heads like seals.
It was an excellent decision that made them want to slap their knees.
If the exchange was a hub connecting corporations, guilds, and nations, the auction house was a black hole that sucked in hunters and items indiscriminately.
‘The commission business will bring in solid profits, and both purchasing and disposing of items will be convenient.’
‘Moreover, the hunters who participate in auctions are generally high-ranking. Connections with those kinds of people are assets that can’t be bought with money.’
This was how money gathered. Furthermore, they were hunters whose spending habits matched their high salaries.
When that met Seomyeon, the largest downtown area?
They would spend, play, and shake it all up!
‘Just roughly calculating the costs they’ll incur is already huge.’
‘They’ll stay at hotels. They’ll eat good food. They’ll go shopping!’
‘Oh my god… this is a divine move.’
Restaurants, cafés, clubs, department stores.
The politicians swallowed hard, already imagining bundles of money raining down from the sky like a storm. Dollar signs practically floated in their eyes.
Lee Shin looked at them and let out a small chuckle. As expected, nothing was more honest than money.
“Activation of the local economy through buyers, sellers, and spectators is the primary benefit. Job creation, rising real estate values, increased tax revenue, and the development of the downtown area will also strengthen Busan’s regional brand.”
By this point, everyone realized it.
The International Airport that would connect them to the world!
The International Mana Stone Exchange that would become a global hub!
The item auction house that would become a black hole for hunters and items!
These three were creating perfect synergy.
When the trinity, the triangle, and this beautiful triangular formation was completed.
Mir Guild, Busan, and Korea would take another leap forward.
That was why Lee Shin urged them.
“As you can see, Mir Guild will never monopolize success. We will return as much as we receive and share the glory we achieve with everyone. This is my vision.”
I have shown you my vision.
Therefore.
“Now show me what you can do for me.”
By the time the bus finally stopped in Songdo and Lee Shin stepped off at the construction site of the Olympus Magic Tower, the person leading the meeting had changed to Noh Hyeong-sim.
“Ahem, our representative really hates noise.”
Showing the dignity of a career professional.
