What's Wrong With This?
I couldn't hide my bewilderment at the orb's trembling reaction. I quickly pulled up the info window for the sphere that looked ready to shatter any second.

"Spirit Power...?"
I frowned slightly as I read the description of the Divine Beast Orb. In Dimension World, Spirit Power was an extremely rare ability. Unlike the three magic towers on the continent, spirit sorcerers were few and far between, making ways to acquire Spirit Power incredibly scarce.
In Dimension World 1, spirit sorcerers only emerged later with the appearance of the Eto Church. Before the religion showed up, out of over a billion players, just one had job-changed into a spirit sorcerer.
The sorceress of the century, Liana Yum. She was known to have learned spirit arts directly from a descendant of the long-lost Druid race after completing a special quest. Unlike the Eto Church spirit sorcerers who could only summon up to high spirits, Liana Yum alone had contracted with one of the Spirit Kings, the gale wind Samia.
Her spirit arts were powerful enough to cleave through anything, belying her gentle face, so all eight major clans had vied to recruit her. But she refused to join any clan due to the "Druid Oath," and to this day, no one knew the conditions of that oath.
She was surely a hidden class among spirit sorcerers. In the end, becoming a top player in Dimension World means a plain background job just won't cut it.
There was no need to debate the immense power of spirit sorcerers after what Liana Yum had shown.
Spirit Power, huh...
It was certainly an alluring power. But what truly caught my eye wasn't the Spirit Power.
It was the resurrection of a divine beast. A new divine beast being born.
If the description is accurate, the Divine Beast Orb contains the power of all three divine beasts known as the Three Great Aspects, now extinct. We can't know exactly what hatches based on materials, but if... if I could birth a divine beast surpassing the Three Great Aspects...
Spirit sorcerers and Spirit Power were content that would come eventually, but a new divine beast I created would be a truly unique power, mine alone.
The answer's clear.
I nodded slowly. For me, who planned to use NPCs to crush the eight major clans, a divine beast would be an overwhelming force.
Hatch a divine beast.
I stowed the Divine Beast Orb from the Spirit Devourer's corpse into my inventory. No need to rush. It already boosted all stats just by holding it, and as time passed, I could raid dungeons for high-grade materials I couldn't get now to find what the orb needed.
"Alright. Let's see what else dropped."
Dragon scales, dragon fangs, dragon tail—they were all Heroic-grade refining materials, each with different uses.
Scales for armor, fangs for weapons, tail for accessories. Heroic materials are impressive, but... no one can work them right now anyway.
Listing these on the auction house would send prices skyrocketing. "Six Great Dragons" meant only six sources for these materials existed.
Money matters, but rare materials like these are better kept for the future.
Many Dimension World players played to make cash. Money was key, but outmatching the eight major clans' real-world capital was near impossible.
The only way to crush them is raw power, not cash.
I gazed at the massive dragon fang from the loot window, lost in thought.
And though it's tough now, I know someone who can refine dragon materials.
Having succeeded in dragon hunts twice in my dreams, I naturally knew how to handle these.
"Getting them out's the issue... Inventory's gonna fill up."
But despite my words, I couldn't stop my lips from curling up as I transferred the materials.
Thinking of the gear these will make later...
Each was priceless, so the refined items would be monstrous.
"Dragon Heart... Gotta keep this too."
I pulled out the red orb in the last loot slot. Not a heart in the usual sense, but a sphere of condensed dragon mana.
◈ Durability: ??/??
◈ Usable at: Level 1+
◈ A heart containing dragon mana. Regardless of attribute, it holds immense heat. Consumption greatly increases mana.
◈ Low chance to gain dragon physique; mutation allows learning dragon magic.
◈ Effect: Max Mana ↑
◈ Effect: Dragon Magic (chance)
◈ Effect: Dragon Physique (chance)
The description was straightforward. No exact values for effects—likely scaled to the player's current mana. For me, unable to use Nute despite learning it due to low mana, it was tempting, but I stowed the heart without hesitation.
The dragon physique mutation for dragon magic is appealing, but not for someone who hasn't even job-changed. And since it's chance-based...
It could fail. No telling when I'd hunt another dragon.
Better save it to cure Bazarr of the Dark Army, my tactical mentor's incurable disease.
One NPC's abilities might seem minor, but I wasn't banking on just him.
Save Bazarr, and I can finally create the half-elf legion Moondance he planned before dying.
Half-elves had superior base stats to humans, excelling in tactics and combat even among NPCs.
Plus, with elf blood, they have night vision—perfect for agility in dark legion battles ahead.
Not just Bazarr, but hundreds of half-elf soldiers joining my forces.
"Still... tons of great items, but doesn't feel like a real score."
All priceless, yet nothing immediately usable was the issue. Especially the last loot item.
◈ Durability: 100/100
◈ Usable at: Level 85+
◈ One of the dragon gear owned by Spirit Devourer White Dragon Lanselro. Born from the oath of the Six Great Dragons; each carries one within.
◈ Dragon gear has special attraction, growing stronger when together.
◈ All Stats +15
◈ Attack +100, Magic Power +150
◈ HP & Mana Recovery Speed +20%
◈ Ice-Type Monster Damage +10%
◈ Beast-Type Monster Damage +5%
◈ Set Bonus: Activates with additional Dragonkin gear!
◈ Dragonkin Gear: Helmet, Armor, Gauntlets, Pants, Boots
"...Insane."
I let out a hollow laugh, speechless at the densely packed options on the amulet.
"Legendary lives up to the name. And collecting the rest for set effects? That's basically telling us to hunt all Six Great Dragons."
I smirked at the final set note.
At least the eight clans won't complete a Dragonkin set.
Hunting the rest tempted me, but uncertain if I could. Still, with the amulet, no clan could monopolize Dragonkin gear—good enough.
"But..."
Despite its power, I could only grimace.
"Level 85 equip requirement? Come on."
Post-hunt, I'd gained 4 levels instantly, but still only 39.
Party split diluted the EXP more than expected.
Solo wouldn't hit 85 overnight anyway. Far too low for the amulet.
Makes sense—dragon hunts are near-endgame content. In my dream, killing Lanselro took years, when players were high-level enough for Dragonkin gear.
Snagging near-final gear fresh on a new server was miraculous.
"When you think about it... I got top-tier stuff early. Can't complain."
I smiled faintly. Levels come with time. This hunt needed Amur's dagger's cheat-like dragon-slaying power anyway.
"Ah!"
Suddenly, I turned from the Spirit Devourer's corpse and snatched Amur's dagger beside it.
"Almost forgot the important part."
