Chapter 80: Chaos (3)
Chapter 80: Chaos (3)
After entering a few more dungeons, Han Shin’s party confirmed their hypothesis: stronger monsters consistently began their activities later.
Fortunately, they didn't encounter any monsters as strong as or stronger than the Stone Beasts; instead, they faced creatures with power levels similar to the Dire Wolves they had met earlier.
Because of this, Han Shin was able to clear the dungeons with relative ease.
He had fought well against the even stronger Stone Beasts, and although Grace and Laysia had created the perfect opening, it was Han Shin who had delivered the final blow to take down the giant-shaped Stone Beast.
He had proven how much stronger he had become. Naturally, as he fought alongside Laysia and Grace, he became more accustomed to their movements, and coordinating their attacks made the battles much smoother.
They returned to the villa slightly later than their usual dinner time.
They had originally intended to clear only two dungeons, but since they were finishing them faster than expected, they decided to squeeze in a few more despite the tight schedule.
They needed more cases to confirm the hypothesis they had formed before entering, and since Han Shin had plenty of energy left, he wanted to grow as quickly as possible rather than idling away his time.
If it had been just him and Grace, they would have washed up at the Sanctuary, but now that Laysia was with them, they had to return home to bathe.
They had cleared four dungeons in a row, and since the last one involved fighting a giant scorpion-like monster in a desert-like environment, they were covered from head to toe in sand and dust.
Han Shin didn't waste words; thinking it best to get cleaned up before doing anything else, he spoke immediately.
“Everyone, go wash up and meet back here.”
“Yes, Lord Han Shin.”
“See you in a bit.”
Grace and Laysia were just as eager to wash up, so they nodded at Han Shin’s words and headed straight to their respective rooms.
Han Shin skipped his usual soak in a hot tub and finished his shower as quickly as possible. He then began cleaning the house, which had become a bit dirty since their return.
Until now, Kang Yujin had taken charge of cleaning using her psychokinesis since she couldn't go into the dungeons, but she was currently on her way back to her own home.
I should finish this before Grace and Laysia come out.
Han Shin wanted to get the cleaning done before they appeared because he knew they would likely stop him from doing any chores once they saw him.
Grace, at the very least, certainly would.
He vacuumed and mopped the floors with haste, glancing at the clock.
Noona said she’d arrive home around midnight, so she still has a long way to go.
Just as he was finishing up the cleaning and tidying, Grace and Laysia emerged.
Seeing that Han Shin had already finished the cleaning, Grace felt a surge of gratitude. He had taken care of a task she felt she should have done.
She could feel his consideration for them.
As they prepared dinner together, they shared a brief conversation about the dungeons they had just visited.
“That scorpion we just fought. Ah, the Girta. It stayed hidden in the sand for a long time—is that how they usually behave?”
Han Shin had been calling it a scorpion because it looked exactly like one, but he quickly corrected himself using the name Girta.
Laysia, who was busy carrying the finished dishes to the table, answered his question immediately.
The Girta was a common monster in Laysia’s world, Bürg. It was essentially a giant version of an Earth scorpion, possessing powerful pincers, a mandibles, and a venomous tail.
However, unlike Earth scorpions, which have poor eyesight, these creatures had highly developed vision and were extremely sensitive to light, even at night.
Because of this, crossing the deserts of Bürg was particularly dangerous after dark.
“They often hide to ambush travelers… but in this case, we should assume they reacted late in the dark dungeon because they are so sensitive to light. And since they appeared on the path we had already passed, I think they’re similar to the Dire Wolves.”
Han Shin nodded at Laysia’s well-reasoned opinion.
In all four dungeons they had entered after seeing Kang Yujin off, they had consistently encountered monsters late. Though it was only four more examples, Han Shin was now almost certain of his hypothesis.
“Since the Girta is a monster we haven't seen before, I should tell Noona so she can inform the others.”
Both Grace and Laysia reacted very positively to his words.
Both women shared a common past of having struggled to save their respective worlds.
“Lord Han Shin, I’ll prepare the information and tell Yujin myself. Since I’m more familiar with them, I can provide a more detailed explanation.”
“Ah… right. Thanks, Laysia.”
“Hehe, it’s nothing…”
Han Shin gave up on his original plan and decided to follow Laysia’s suggestion.
As she said, she already knew the monster, so her knowledge was far superior.
It seemed better for Laysia to explain it to Kang Yujin rather than Han Shin trying to do it after only one battle and a brief explanation from Laysia.
In the meantime, dinner was ready, and the three of them sat down at the table.
However, Han Shin’s face flushed slightly a moment later.
Until just now, he had been so focused on the serious discussion about the dungeons that he hadn't really noticed or been bothered by anything else.
But as Laysia leaned forward to sit at the table, he saw her large breasts sway and bounce. As a man, it was impossible not to notice.
Ugh…
Han Shin let out a silent groan.
Laysia was wearing a simple cobalt blue T-shirt and a light brown long skirt, but the modest attire did nothing to hide her figure.
On the contrary, the contrast of the plain clothing created a strange charm that drew Han Shin’s gaze even more.
His eyes lingered for a moment before he forced himself to look away, fixing his gaze firmly on the food on the table.
Laysia immediately noticed Han Shin looking at her and then reacting with embarrassment.
Hehe, how cute.
Ever since the last time, seeing Han Shin act this way didn't just fail to offend her—it actually made her feel good and struck her as quite adorable.
I suppose I still have some charm as a woman.
With her lustrous light-red hair that radiated health, her ever-present gentle smile, and her striking blue eyes, she was a stunning beauty. It was actually quite surprising that she would have such doubts about herself.
Laysia was an elite Battle Priest who served Tiamat. Given the way she had shown Han Shin and Grace her prowess as a martial artist—crushing monsters with her bare hands and feet—anyone would be shocked to learn she lacked confidence in her own appeal.
Come to think of it… it’s almost time for a level up…
Watching Han Shin, who had regained his composure and was eating dinner, Laysia murmured to herself internally.
Before being summoned by Han Shin, Laysia—like Grace—had been informed that Tiamat was currently in a state of recovery, having exhausted a great deal of power.
Because of this, her own power was heavily suppressed. To restore her original strength, Han Shin needed to absorb mana from dungeon cores and convert it into Tiamat’s divine power…
And finally, she knew that she had to have sex with Han Shin to receive that divine power and level up.
It was a fact that both Han Shin and Laysia had tacitly avoided mentioning.
Even though they both knew the other was aware of it, they had consciously pushed it to the back of their minds.
Han Shin was hesitant to bring it up or demand sex from Laysia, partly because he had been a virgin until recently and partly because he had feelings for Kang Yujin and Grace, which they had already acknowledged.
Laysia, for her part, felt she lacked feminine charm and saw no reason to be the first to speak up.
But the time was fast approaching when they would have to address it and have sex.
Because the portals had changed recently, Han Shin had gathered dungeon core mana much faster than expected, and he now had enough to level Laysia up.
They had both caught a glimpse of this while looking at the Manager App together earlier. Though they hadn't spoken of it, they were both acutely aware.
Similar to Laysia’s thoughts, Han Shin had tried to regain his composure after being flustered by the movement of her ample chest…
But the fact that the time to have sex with Laysia was drawing near continued to swirl in his head.
Because of this, although conversation flowed during their pleasant dinner, Han Shin couldn't fully concentrate.
There were increasing instances where his answers were slightly delayed or his reactions were a bit slow.
Grace also noticed that Han Shin was acting a bit strange.
Having already seen him stealing glances at Laysia, she could guess why he was acting that way.
It’s something that has to be done anyway.
As a woman who loved Han Shin, it naturally wasn't a pleasant thought.
The man she loved was going to have sex with another woman.
However, Grace knew better than anyone that the situation was unavoidable, so she deliberately ignored Han Shin’s reaction and remained quiet.
I wonder what Laysia is thinking…
Grace looked at Laysia, who maintained her usual gentle smile and calm expression, and wondered what was going on behind that face.
