Chapter 193: Sitri (9)
Chapter 193: Sitri (9)
Grace and Laysia stowed their weapons back into subspace. As Han Shin suggested, they decided to listen to what she had to say first.
Of course, they didn't let their guard down.
They remained suspicious, wary that the demon might be deceiving Han Shin or plotting something behind their backs.
For safety, Grace and Laysia sat on either side of Sitri, while Han Shin sat next to Kang Yujin.
‘I expected this to some extent, but...’
The atmosphere was even colder than Han Shin had anticipated, making him feel unnecessarily tense.
Sitri, on the other hand, felt the current mood was actually quite manageable.
Having survived the constant power struggles and infighting among demons, an atmosphere like this felt practically cozy to her.
What truly weighed on her mind was something else. Even though she had heard Han Shin already had women, she had been inwardly confident.
She was well aware of her own exceptional beauty and had even succeeded in seducing Han Shin into bed.
Thus, she had believed she could easily surpass those who had become Han Shin’s women before her, whether in terms of looks or ability.
However, now that she was facing Grace and Laysia in person, that confidence withered away.
She knew all too well that both of them had been formidable opponents even when she was a demon, possessing extraordinary capabilities.
Not only that, but their beauty was in no way inferior to hers. Even the unknown woman with the black ponytail was stunning.
Seeing that three beauties, each with their own distinct charm, were already Han Shin’s women, Sitri decided to completely abandon any secret ambitions she might have harbored.
Sitri slowly repeated the story she had told Han Shin to the three women.
Since they all knew she had been a demon serving Asmodeus, she explained everything from the beginning, starting with how she ended up on Earth.
Grace and Laysia watched her intently from both sides as they listened.
To verify her claim that she had lost her dark mana in an accident during the transit to Earth and that it showed no signs of recovery, they grabbed her wrists to check.
Both were shocked to find that they truly couldn't feel a single trace of dark mana within Sitri’s body. Instead, they felt a familiar energy.
They were stunned to find Tiamat’s holy power.
“How is this possible...!”
It was impossible for a demon to harbor the holy power of a Benevolent God.
The two energies were polar opposites; normally, holy power would act like a lethal poison, destroying and incinerating a demon’s body from the inside out.
Yet, it was an undeniable fact that Tiamat’s holy power resided within Sitri.
No matter how many times they checked, the result was the same.
“I no longer serve Asmodeus. My connection to him has been severed, and now... I feel connected to Lord Han Shin.”
Sitri’s words—describing exactly what they, as followers of Tiamat, felt—caused them to see her in a different light.
She had certainly been a threatening enemy until now, but their instincts told them that everything she was saying was the truth.
When words were backed by such physical evidence, it was only natural for her credibility to rise.
The cold, sharp tension in the room began to thaw.
Sensing that things were going well, Sitri explained that all her subordinates had perished, leaving her as the sole survivor to reach this place. She added that the shockwave from her arrival was likely what had shattered all the windows in the city.
“That’s highly probable...”
Grace and Laysia had never seen such a phenomenon before, but Sitri’s explanation—that the dungeon’s structure was nearly obliterated by a rift in the dimensional barrier during transit, and the shock occurred when it finally collapsed upon reaching Earth—seemed far more plausible than any of their previous theories.
Next, Sitri explained how she met Han Shin. She told them how some vile human men had broken into her hotel room yesterday, and Han Shin had rescued her.
“Lord Han Shin. Was the woman you saved yesterday Sitri?”
“Yes. That’s right.”
“How did things end up like this...”
Whether it was Laysia or Grace, hearing that Han Shin just happened to notice and stop a group of men trying to assault Sitri, leading to her developing feelings for him, felt like a cruel twist of fate.
The hostility both women felt toward Sitri noticeably softened.
To be sure, Sitri had been a very threatening demon and a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
However, compared to other demons, she was on the more tolerable end of the spectrum. Aside from fighting like a cold, ruthless war machine, she hadn't committed the kind of atrocities typical of her kind.
If she had been one of those demons who captured humans to torture, experiment on, or use for entertainment, they would have split her in two or crushed her skull instantly, regardless of whether Han Shin had brought her along.
Kang Yujin, knowing very little about the situation, simply watched Grace and Laysia interrogate Sitri.
When Grace and Laysia fell into a brief silence, seemingly lost in thought, she stepped forward.
“So, how did you meet Shin today?”
Sitri was meeting Kang Yujin for the first time, but she sensed that this woman was also someone not to be trifled with.
From her appearance alone, she seemed to be an equal to Grace and Laysia. The presence she exuded while sitting next to Han Shin with her arms crossed, eyeing Sitri up and down, made it clear she was no ordinary human.
“I was trying to get an ID made when I ran into Lord Han Shin by chance... and I seduced him. After he helped me yesterday, I felt I couldn't let him go.”
Sitri spoke truthfully, using polite speech toward her as well.
For Kang Yujin, hearing that Sitri had fallen for Han Shin after he saved her made it awkward to be angry, yet impossible to be happy. She turned her head toward Han Shin.
“Shin-a, is that true?”
“Yeah. I felt a bit restless after waking up today, so I went out for some fresh air and ran into her by accident.”
As Han Shin confirmed the facts, a realization suddenly struck Kang Yujin.
“Wait... Sitri, you said you have holy power now. Does that mean you seduced Shin and... actually had sex with him?!”
At Yujin’s blunt question, Sitri’s face flushed slightly as she nodded in affirmation.
“...Yes. I originally wanted to take things slow, but I thought this might be my only chance...”
Yujin’s eyes instantly snapped back to Han Shin, demanding the truth.
Under her piercing gaze, Han Shin’s mouth worked wordlessly.
Cold sweat trickled down his back, and his face burned with heat.
“That’s right. I had sex with Sitri earlier...”
Han Shin knew he had to tell them, but knowing how much the three of them had worried when he didn't return or contact them made it incredibly embarrassing to admit.
While they were sick with worry, he had lost himself in desire and spent his time with Sitri. He had no excuse.
Grace and Laysia, who had been deep in thought, also turned their gaze toward Han Shin upon hearing the conversation.
Faced with the stares of all three women, Han Shin could only offer an apology.
“I’m sorry, everyone. I know you were all worried...”
Seeing Han Shin bow his head in a sincere apology, the anger the three women felt immediately dissipated.
In truth, since all three were already deeply in love with him, even if they were truly angry, it wouldn't have lasted long.
Furthermore, since Han Shin apologized without making a single excuse, there wasn't much more they could say.
It wasn't as if Sitri had targeted Han Shin to corrupt him to the side of the demons; it was a genuine coincidence. If anything, Sitri had fallen for him and was seeking to submit to him. Having a powerful enemy join their side as an ally was, objectively speaking, a good thing.
Of course, as Han Shin’s women, the fact that another female had been added to the mix was a point of dissatisfaction.
Having a romantic rival was never pleasant.
Especially one who was originally a demon.
Sensing their thoughts, Sitri spoke up cautiously.
“Um... I only wish to serve Lord Han Shin. Please, use me even as a servant. I beg of you. I don't want to see Lord Han Shin get hurt or die. I will tell you everything I know about the demons and the Evil Gods.”
At Sitri’s desperate plea, the three women exchanged glances before Kang Yujin spoke to Han Shin.
“Shin-a, could you step out for a moment? We’d like to talk amongst ourselves.”
“Alright.”
Han Shin followed Yujin’s request and immediately left the hotel room.
Click.
As soon as the sound of the door closing was heard, Kang Yujin turned to Grace and Laysia.
“What do you two think? I think we need her for Shin’s sake.”
She stated her opinion bluntly.
For Kang Yujin, Han Shin was always the top priority.
Because of that, Sitri’s final words about wanting to protect him resonated strongly with her. Given Han Shin’s position, the demons and Evil Gods targeting Earth were enemies he would eventually have to fight.
Yujin judged that having someone who knew them well and was powerful herself would be a significant boost to their strength, making it beneficial to accept Sitri.
Of course, the addition of another woman to Han Shin’s life was bothersome, but since she was willing to enter in such a subservient position, Yujin felt it was acceptable.
Grace was the first to respond.
“I agree. She’ll be helpful to Lord Han Shin, so I think it’s fine to accept her.”
Grace answered with her eyes closed, having clearly given it serious thought. Like Yujin, her primary concern was Han Shin’s well-being.
Finally, Laysia gave her consent as well.
“I don't like it, but I agree. Like you said, it’s true she’ll be helpful to him... and it’s not like Lord Han Shin would abandon her anyway.”
Laysia’s point was something Yujin and Grace both agreed on. Knowing Han Shin as they did, there was no way he would cast Sitri aside now.
Moreover, since she had received Tiamat’s holy power, she had likely become a follower of Tiamat herself.
When the three of them expressed their intent to accept her, Sitri was overcome with emotion. She bowed her head repeatedly.
“Thank you so much. If Lord Han Shin is ever in danger, I will gladly sacrifice myself for him.”
Surprisingly, since all three women were thinking along the same lines, they reached a conclusion quickly.
Grace went to call Han Shin back in and informed him of their decision that accepting Sitri would be beneficial.
“Phew... Thank you, everyone.”
Han Shin let out a long sigh of relief, deeply grateful that they had accepted her.
“However... we can't treat Sitri as our equal just yet, Shin-a. Please understand that.”
“Yeah, I understand.”
Listening to their conversation, Sitri’s face showed no hint of offense, only joy.
She had already expected this to some degree. The mere fact that she could stay by Han Shin’s side was enough for her; everything else was trivial.
“Please, give me any task. I will do anything.”
At Sitri’s words, Kang Yujin nodded with a meaningful smile.
