Chapter 182: Coincidence (7)
Chapter 182: Coincidence (7)
It was a ringtone she had never heard before, but Sitri knew what it was immediately. A screen flickered to life on the wall, showing who was outside. It was the desk clerk who had helped her check in.
Sitri was well aware of the devastating impact of her beauty.
As a high-ranking Battle Succubus of immense power, she had received countless advances even from other demons. Just today, she had drawn every eye on Earth. She knew perfectly well that her appearance had played a major role in the man giving her this room.
He’s come for my body.
A man visiting a woman staying alone at this late hour—Sitri felt a surge of irritation. It was incredibly arrogant for a mere human to harbor such foul intentions toward her.
"What is it?"
Still, Sitri didn't openly show her annoyance, considering he was the one who had provided the room. She reminded herself that her current situation didn't allow her to act purely on impulse.
[I managed to get you a room under my name for tonight since it was an emergency, but I wanted to discuss what we should do for tomorrow.]
"I'm only staying for tonight. I'll settle the payment when I leave tomorrow."
When Sitri refused to meet, the friendly smile on Tsushuan’s face vanished, replaced by a cold mask.
[See? I told you being nice wouldn't work. Just open the door.]
He’s not alone.
Men Sitri had never seen before began to slink into view beside Tsushuan on the screen. She realized instantly that they had come as a group to violate her.
"Filthy insects."
[Heh, harsh words.]
[We’re going to give you a night you’ll never forget, so look forward to it.]
From their perspective, Sitri was trapped in the room with nowhere to run. To heighten her fear, one of them held up a spare key for the camera to see.
Sitri’s expression turned ice-cold.
If she had her original strength, she could have slaughtered these men with Dark Magic without lifting a finger. She had been staying quiet and suppressing her nature because of her circumstances, but the fact that such trash dared to crawl all over her ignited her rage.
No matter how weak I’ve become, I won’t stand for this. I’ll kill every last one of you.
Sitri didn't have a single drop of Dark Mana left, but her basic physical attributes were incomparably stronger than those of an average human. Even unarmed and barehanded, she could easily handle humans of this caliber.
She hadn't bothered to put her clothes back on earlier, so she was currently wearing only the high-end hotel robe and her underwear. Even in this state, she could deal with them effortlessly.
Beep!
With an electronic chime, the door swung open. Tsushuan, Jang Wei, and a crowd of other men poured in.
"You should have just opened the door. Why make things difficult?"
Tsushuan wore a sneering grin. The Triad members all looked at Sitri in her robe with lewd, predatory smiles.
The robe only served to make Sitri’s figure look more provocative. It clung to her curves, and her hair was still slightly damp from her recent shower, making her skin look soft and supple. Despite her lack of makeup, she was a flawless, top-tier beauty. The thought of bedding her made the men's loins ache with anticipation.
They were all excited by the prospect of breaking Sitri’s cold, angry expression.
The Triad members and Tsushuan crowded into the room. But when about half of them were inside, Jang Wei, who had entered first, heard a scream from behind.
"Who the hell are you?! Gwah!"
There was a dull thud and the sound of someone tumbling across the floor. Then, more screams followed in rapid succession.
"You bastard! Ack!"
"Aaargh!"
Han Shin, who had been watching the situation unfold, had decided to strike the moment they opened the door and entered. He moved immediately.
To clear them out as quickly and quietly as possible, Han Shin struck like a bolt of lightning. One Triad member, who had been scowling at Han Shin’s sudden appearance, didn't even have time to react before his nose was crushed, and he was knocked unconscious.
Han Shin held back his strength, aiming to cripple them rather than kill them. If he had used his full power, the man’s head would have exploded. In a way, the man was lucky.
After the first bald Triad member went down, the others were suppressed the moment they laid eyes on Han Shin. With only a few muffled shouts and sharp cries of pain, they were sent flying into walls or crashing to the floor.
Since they were neutralized with single punches and kicks, the commotion was surprisingly minimal. Having cleared the men outside in an instant, Han Shin stepped through the open door into the room.
"Who is this guy? An assassin sent for me? Kill him!"
Jang Wei assumed Han Shin was an assassin targeting him, given how quickly he had taken down his subordinates. Shanghai already belonged to the Triad, and there were no rival organizations left. However, internal power struggles were common, and it wasn't unheard of for members to hire assassins to take out their competition.
Though he found it strange since his recent internal relations hadn't been particularly bad, it was the only explanation he could think of.
Han Shin found the accusation absurd but didn't bother to respond. He used his Body Arts to instantly neutralize the men who drew knives and lunged at him.
Thud! Crack! Thud!
The sounds of impact and breaking bones were short and concise. Sharp cries of pain followed one after another. Jang Wei could barely track Han Shin’s movements with his eyes. He was too fast—far beyond the limits of a normal human.
"He’s an Awakener!"
They had avoided using guns because it was a luxury hotel, but the Triad members realized this wasn't the time for knives. They scrambled to pull out their firearms.
But it was already too late.
Before they could even draw their weapons, most of the Triad members had been shattered by Han Shin, left groaning on the floor or unconscious. Tsushuan, who was nothing more than a lecherous, low-life thug, was a useless waste of space who couldn't even react to the situation...
Only Jang Wei remained.
Since he had been the first to enter, he was the furthest from Han Shin. He managed to draw his gun and aim it.
Han Shin was already right in front of him. Without hesitation, Jang Wei pulled the trigger.
Bang!
Han Shin, who had been watching the muzzle, dodged the initial shot. Jang Wei tried to fire again, but he couldn't.
"Eek!"
Han Shin had grabbed the slide of the gun, preventing it from cycling. Then, he simply snapped Jang Wei’s right hand.
"Aaaaaagh!"
Even for Jang Wei, who prided himself on being a battle-hardened veteran of the Triad, this was a first. His wrist broke as easily as a dry twig, sending a wave of agonizing pain through his body. He went into shock, foaming at the mouth and screaming until he collapsed into unconsciousness.
Tsushuan stood there, stunned. The fearsome Triad members had been utterly demolished by this newcomer without even landing a scratch on him.
What on earth...
Before he could finish the thought, his consciousness flickered out.
Han Shin knew Tsushuan was different from the trash he had just dealt with. He was a hotel employee, while the others appeared to be part of a criminal organization. However, since he had been an accomplice in their crime, Han Shin saw no reason to go easy on him.
Tsushuan lost consciousness without even seeing the punch coming. His high-bridged nose was twisted grotesquely to the left, and his front teeth were shattered, blood pouring from his mouth.
Compared to fighting demons and Demonic Humans, dealing with these ordinary people was child's play for Han Shin. After neutralizing them in an instant, he naturally turned his gaze toward the woman who had almost suffered a terrible fate.
Hmm... She really is incredibly beautiful. I can see why these guys tried something like this.
Han Shin considered himself somewhat resistant to beautiful women, given that he was loved by three incredibly stunning women. Usually, he wasn't easily swayed by other beauties, but the moment he saw Sitri, his eyes widened in involuntary admiration.
Even in a white robe with no makeup, she was breathtaking. She possessed a decadent aura that stirred a man’s instincts, yet she also felt strangely pure.
Is this what they mean by a 'beauty that could topple nations'?
Han Shin quickly shook off the stray thought.
Ugh... Get it together.
"Report this to the hotel lobby immediately and call Public Security."
"Ah... yes... Th-thank you."
Sitri had been prepared to kill them all with her own hands, so this unexpected turn of events left her quite flustered. If her subordinates had seen her now, they would have been shocked. Her eyes were wide with surprise, and she stammered slightly, showing a rare moment of vulnerability.
