Chapter 161: United Kingdom (5)
BOOM!
BOOM!
Explosions thundered in rapid succession.
The earth groaned and shook violently as shockwaves rippled out in every direction.
Following Han Shin, Grace and Laysia also plummeted from the sky, sticking their landings. Just like Han Shin, both women crashed directly atop the demonic humans and zombies, creating a scene of absolute devastation.

The reason Han Shin’s party arrived in the heart of London earlier than expected—and from the sky, no less—was because they had ordered the plane to head straight over the city instead of the airport so they could jump.
While flying to the UK, the party had been briefed on the unfolding situation in London.
They were informed that the Black Spire had already been constructed and that the British Awakeners were launching an offensive but were failing to break through the enemy lines to reach the tower.
It wasn't just that the situation was worse than expected; it was spiraling toward a total catastrophe.
The British forces were failing to deal any significant damage to the demonic humans. Their advance was so agonizingly slow that they were in imminent danger of being surrounded and annihilated.
The British command and the Awakeners were well aware of this, yet they had no choice but to keep pushing forward.
As Han Shin’s party received these updates, they began searching for a way to intervene in the London battlefield as quickly as possible. Physically, there seemed to be no way to shave off more time.
"In the end, we have to land at the airport and then travel to London... that’s bound to take more time," Kang Yujin noted.
At her words, a sudden thought struck Han Shin. He quickly turned to Laysia.
"Laysia, that magic you cast back in Japan—how much height can it cover?"
Laysia immediately grasped his intent. "It’s possible, provided I use a significant amount of Holy Power."
"Shin-a, you can use my psychokinesis too," Kang Yujin added, having also realized Han Shin intended to dive straight from the plane into the fray.
She was quick to offer her support. Having already mastered a degree of flight through her psychokinesis, she knew that while it was mana-inefficient, it would undoubtedly be a massive help.
Han Shin nodded and spoke firmly. "Then let’s skip the airport. We’ll head straight over London and jump."
Kang Yujin relayed Han Shin’s plan to the Association staff on board. Even for Awakeners, jumping from a plane and landing safely was a feat bordering on the impossible.
"We will prepare parachutes," a staff member responded, reaching for the emergency gear.
"No, we don't need them."
"Pardon?"
"Using those would make us too conspicuous, and they're too slow."
The staff knew that, of course. However, a parachute was considered mandatory for reaching the ground alive. The Association staff were flustered by the refusal. No matter how strong the Wolyeong Party was, they were currently in a plane above the clouds, and these people were talking about free-falling with their bare bodies.
They asked several times if it was truly alright, but Wolyeong told them not to worry.
Ultimately, the staff decided to follow the party's lead. They figured that if the group was this confident, they must have a plan. Instead, they decided to lower the altitude. To identify the active combat zones, they needed to descend below the cloud layer anyway.
Time passed, and they reached the skies over London.
As the plane leveled out over the heat of the battle, Han Shin’s party jumped without hesitation.
Laysia had already cast Slow Fall Magic on all four of them. Naturally, various other protective spells were also in place to dampen the impact and shield them upon landing.
Of course, even with such magic, slowing a descent from such a high altitude was nearly a futile effort. It required a massive amount of Tiamat’s Holy Power.
Kang Yujin assisted with her psychokinesis, minimizing the inefficient drain on Laysia’s strength.
The four of them plummeted rapidly.
The Arrow Curse Barrier the demonic humans had erected over London was limited to projectiles; it had no effect on four people falling from the sky.
Leading the descent was, naturally, Han Shin.
As a Dragon Knight with the most resilient physical body, he intended to fall as fast as possible to ease the burden on Laysia and Kang Yujin.
And I have to link up with the others quickly.
Just before jumping, he had heard the latest report. The British Awakeners had pushed as far as they could, but now they were on the verge of being surrounded and slaughtered. Massive casualties had already been sustained, and he had to minimize further loss of life.
With a heart burning with rage toward the demonic humans and demons who had caused this carnage, Han Shin plummeted straight down like a spear.
The earth drew closer.
The landscape of London became vivid.
Smoke rose from everywhere, and destroyed buildings littered the view. He could see the British Awakeners, completely surrounded, being bombarded by the demonic humans' dark magic and arrows.
Inside his silver helm, Han Shin’s cold, sunken eyes flashed.
He summoned the Silver Warhammer from his subspace. Grabbing the handle, he took a stance to strike the ground with the full force of his terminal velocity.
It was a picture of perfection.
Harnessing the acceleration of the high-altitude fall, he drew out the Power of the Dragon and unleashed it.
A silver knight clad in a silver aura descended like a god, slamming his warhammer into the demonic humans.
BOOM!!
A colossal explosion erupted, and a shockwave surged outward.
Han Shin felt a slight recoil, but his sturdy body as a Dragon Knight left him unscathed. The demonic human he had struck was beyond recognition—shattered into a spray of bone, blood, and flesh.
The impact of the warhammer hitting the pavement caused the ground to heave, creating a secondary shockwave that pulverized the bodies of nearby zombies and demonic humans.
The sudden appearance of a Silver Knight.
At the sight of a Knight’s arrival, hope bloomed within the despairing British Awakeners. Their faces brightened instantly. Their dread vanished, replaced by soaring morale.
Han Shin immediately reverse-summoned the warhammer and pulled a spear from his subspace, beginning his rampage among the demonic humans.
Laysia, Grace, and Wolyeong were no different.
The four of them launched an indiscriminate assault on the zombies and demonic humans swarming the area.
Tiamat’s Holy Power was the natural antithesis of dark mana. Because all four utilized this power, they found the battle far easier than the average Awakener would.
Countless demonic humans were crushed into lumps of meat by Kang Yujin’s psychokinesis.
Zombies and demonic humans were sliced like straw by Grace’s sword energy, and the tide of battle turned in an instant.
Thump!
Laysia thrust her palm against the ground. Qi infused with Tiamat’s Holy Power traveled through the earth, causing the ground to twist and buckle.
Rumble!
"Aaaargh!"
The foundations of the buildings where the demonic humans were perched warped and shattered. The structures collapsed, crushing the enemies inside and those standing nearby under the rubble.
Han Shin lunged forward, skewering a demonic human with his spear.
"Gah!"
The sharp tip of the spear protruded from the creature's back after piercing its abdomen. Without pausing, Han Shin hoisted the wretch into the air and swung his spear to the side, hurlng the body into a group of nearby demonic humans.
Thwack!
"Agh!"
"Get out of the way! Dammit!"
Zombies and demonic humans were knocked over in a tangled heap by the flying corpse.
The demonic humans had heard of the Wolyeong Party. Secretly, they had believed the rumors were exaggerated.
That crazy monster...
How is this even possible?
But seeing Han Shin’s rampage with their own eyes, the word "monster" escaped their lips involuntarily.
They didn't know how he had arrived, but after falling from the sky, he was slaughtering demonic humans and sweeping away zombies with one-sided martial prowess. No one could properly trade blows with him, let alone block his attacks.
Even when they tried to clash blades or spears, their weapons snapped in a single exchange, or they were instantly cleaved or skewered.
They had gained immense confidence after becoming demonic humans and growing stronger. These Awakeners, who had always craved power, had found their desires fulfilled, but their personalities had turned feral and inhuman.
Though the demonic humans were the ones closer to being actual monsters, they were the ones calling Han Shin a monster.
It was ironic.
For the demonic humans, the problem wasn't just Han Shin—it was the fact that Grace, Laysia, and Wolyeong were there as well.
