Chapter 125: Contract (2)
Chapter 125: Contract (2)
‘I really should live a good life.’
After the battle with the demons in Aokigahara, Japan, Kang Yujin returned to the hotel and reflected on her choice. She had shown great magnanimity by allowing Grace and Laysia to take Han Shin to the Sanctuary to "wash up," and she now praised herself for that excellent decision.
To be honest, she had been a little angry and annoyed at the time.
As expected, the two hadn't just gone to wash up with Han Shin. Grace and Laysia had wasted no time in sexually devouring him.
When the three finally returned, they looked apologetic toward Kang Yujin, but she didn't show much of a reaction since she had already anticipated it.
Afterward, since there was no reason to stay in Japan any longer, she expressed her desire to return to Korea, and Park Min-woo immediately assisted them.
He had already received all the necessary information from Kang Yujin and could handle the briefings himself. If he needed anything else, he could ask later; his priority was letting those who had fought a major battle get some rest.
Awakeners from other countries were full of questions and wanted to meet them in person, but Park Min-woo blocked them all on his own. Having commissioned Wolyeong for two years, he knew she hated that kind of attention.
Upon returning home, Kang Yujin received some very welcome news from Han Shin.
During the recent battle, Han Shin had leveled up significantly by destroying the Black Spire and absorbing the mana within. Kang Yujin was overjoyed by this unexpected news.
He had gained a staggering three levels at once, bringing Han Shin’s level to 38.
With only two levels left to go, Kang Yujin was thrilled that the moment she had been longing for was finally within reach. Consequently, she secretly hoped Han Shin would head to a dungeon soon to finish leveling up.
Han Shin also felt the need to grow stronger quickly now that demons had appeared on Earth. Since being able to fight alongside his Noona, Kang Yujin, was a huge help, he decided to focus even harder on hunting.
However, to gain more levels, they needed to find dungeons in a new region.
Thanks to their diligent hunting in Nepal over the past month, the conditions there had become less than ideal for further growth. Nepal’s situation had been one where monsters became indigenous to the land, and the terrain caused portals to stack up, requiring large-scale expeditionary forces to clear them.
But because Han Shin’s party had hunted so aggressively for the sake of leveling up, they had completely cleared out portals even in areas that were previously difficult to access.
Combined with the fact that the demons had concentrated their portals in Japan, Nepal now had the breathing room to subjugate its indigenous monsters and could handle the remaining portals on its own.
Realizing this, Kang Yujin told Han Shin that they should move their hunting grounds elsewhere, and Han Shin agreed.
“You’re right, Noona. Where do you think we should go?”
Han Shin thought her point was valid and sought her advice on the best location to move to.
“I think Russia would be good.”
Before bringing it up to Han Shin, Kang Yujin had already considered the options and asked Park Min-woo if there were any countries in desperate need of help.
For Park Min-woo, amidst the recent trend of international cooperation to deal with portals, having Wolyeong step forward to help was a godsend. He immediately mentioned that Russia needed assistance.
Specifically, the Siberia region—an area with very few cities and a sparse population due to the harsh living conditions. It had become a literal paradise for monsters, and most of it remained untouched by humans, except for the gateway cities.
With the appearance of demons making it vital to clear portals, the problem of stabilizing Siberia—which had been somewhat neglected and handled poorly—came to the forefront.
Thus, Han Shin’s party decided to clear dungeons in the Siberian region.
Novosibirsk was the central city of Siberia, and because it had a particularly high concentration of monsters and portals, it was the primary hub for Awakeners.
The Russian government and the Association welcomed Han Shin’s party with open arms.
Since Han Shin was so close to Level 40, he hunted diligently and leveled up rapidly.
They split their roles: Kang Yujin, acting as Wolyeong, worked with other Awakeners to subjugate the indigenous monsters of Siberia, while Han Shin, Grace, and Laysia focused on clearing the portals.
Despite the freezing weather, Kang Yujin still wore only her black robe and silk veil. This was possible because of an artifact Grace had given her, which allowed her to remain unaffected by the climate. Thanks to the bracelet that prevented her from feeling the cold, she could operate with ease.
Han Shin had grown stronger, and with his accumulated combat experience, his speed in clearing dungeons increased.
As a result, about two weeks after arriving in Novosibirsk and beginning their hunt, Han Shin finally reached Level 40.
He converted the mana from the dungeon cores he had diligently collected into Tiamat’s Holy Power and had sex with Laysia and Grace.
After leveling the two of them up and reaching Level 40 himself, Han Shin spoke to everyone the next day.
“Huh? Why, Shin? Are you tired?”
Kang Yujin’s reaction was naturally one of confusion. Until now, Han Shin was the one who never insisted on taking a day off. Because it was so unlike him, her response carried a hint of worry.
In response, Han Shin showed her the screen of the Manager App to let her see for herself.
“I can finally appoint you as a Follower, Noona. I don’t know how long it will take, so I thought it would be best to rest today.”
“Ah! I see! I’ll go tell them right away!”
Kang Yujin could hardly calm her racing heart now that the day she had been waiting for had finally arrived.
Seeing Kang Yujin so excited made Han Shin feel good as well. In his life, Kang Yujin was a person of immense significance. He had lived with her since he was young and relied on her heavily.
Grace and Laysia also had no objections to Kang Yujin joining as a Follower of Tiamat. Since Tiamat was currently asleep, her Proxy, Han Shin, held all the authority. Furthermore, Kang Yujin was a powerful Psychokinetic who had been a great asset in the fight against the demons, so her becoming a Follower was a very positive development.
Kang Yujin immediately picked up her smartphone and contacted the Association staff to tell them she was taking the day off.
When the staff member asked if she was feeling unwell, she replied that it wasn't that, but rather that she needed a break after fighting continuously without rest.
Since it was true that they had been clearing dungeons and subjugating indigenous monsters for two weeks straight, the staff member readily agreed. They informed the Russian side of the rest day, told her to get plenty of sleep, and asked her to call if she needed anything.
Kang Yujin, feeling that even this phone call was a waste of time, gave a short reply and hung up immediately.
“Shin! It’s all taken care of!”
Kang Yujin spoke to Han Shin with visible excitement. Seeing her run over with her black ponytail swaying, Han Shin smiled and looked down at the Manager App to begin the process of making her a Follower.
‘Do I just press this to make her a Follower right away...?’
Never before had a Proxy created a Follower. Since this was the first time the Manager App had been created and used, Grace and Laysia didn't know much about the process either.
Han Shin first confirmed that the SD character with the black ponytail representing Kang Yujin was lit up and active on the screen, then he moved his finger to click it.
[Would you like to appoint this person as a Follower?]
Without hesitation, Han Shin clicked [Yes].
Immediately, a silver aura flowed out of Han Shin’s body and connected to Kang Yujin.
‘It’s warm.’
Kang Yujin accepted the silver aura without any resistance. The cozy sensation made her feel strangely at peace, and her body began to relax.
Tiamat’s Holy Power permeated every corner of Kang Yujin’s body. Like Grace and Laysia, Kang Yujin was being transformed into a state where she could house and utilize Tiamat’s Holy Power.
Even without an explanation, Kang Yujin could feel that this power was Tiamat’s Holy Power and that she was becoming connected to Han Shin.
‘I feel like I’m getting closer to Shin.’
Feeling spiritually connected to Han Shin brought Kang Yujin a sense of immense happiness. To her, Han Shin was an irreplaceable, precious existence, and she could physically feel them becoming even closer.
After about ten minutes, the silver aura faded, and Han Shin checked the Manager App.
[Inject Holy Power directly.]
‘This means...’
Han Shin knew exactly what the Manager App meant. It was what he had always done with Grace and Laysia.
‘I suppose I always had to have sex to pass Holy Power to those two.’
Recalling that the sex he had with Grace and Laysia to level them up was ultimately for the purpose of transferring Tiamat’s Holy Power, Han Shin realized it was only natural that he had to have sex one last time to finalize Kang Yujin’s appointment as a Follower.
The Holy Power that had just permeated Kang Yujin’s body was a sort of foundational preparation, getting her body ready to receive Tiamat’s power. Now, it was time to actually fill her with that power.
“Um... Grace, Laysia, could you give us the room for a moment?”
Grace and Laysia, who had been watching Han Shin and Kang Yujin from inside the room, had a good idea of why Han Shin was speaking so cautiously.
“Do you need to be with Yujin?”
At Laysia’s question, Han Shin blushed and nodded.
In truth, they had had sex so many times that there shouldn't have been any embarrassment left, but they still maintained a certain level of bashfulness. Grace and Laysia always wanted to look beautiful and never show a poor side of themselves to Han Shin, and Han Shin likewise wanted to look good for them.
“Yes, we understand.”
Since it was a necessary part of becoming a Follower, and the three of them had already accepted their relationship where being held by Han Shin was perfectly normal, they left the room immediately.
Today was technically Grace’s turn, but she didn't mention it. She could just be with him tomorrow, and she was certain Han Shin would make it up to her. Even without that, Grace judged that today was a day she should step aside.
Grace and Laysia quietly exited the room.
With the final sound of the door closing, only Kang Yujin and Han Shin remained alone in the room.
