000. Let Me Tell You About Getting Completely Wrecked by Affection Gifts
Princess Fourmi.
The game I'd been more obsessed with than anything else for the past two years.
It was a pure otaku-bait title so well-made it was almost hard to believe it was Korean. The monetization, of course, was perfectly Korean-style — which meant every last scrap of my savings and every paycheck had to go straight into it. Thanks to that, the money I'd poured into the game already ran into the tens of thousands of dollars.
Yeah. I was so deep into that game that I'd do something that stupid.
"Fuck."
...And then I got transmigrated into the game I'd been grinding so hard.
Honestly, that part might not have been so bad. Princess Fourmi was basically my entire life already, and the chance to touch and observe the world I loved with my own hands felt more like a blessing than a curse.
The problem was that I'd transmigrated into a female character instead of the protagonist — and that the female character in question was the absolute worst trash character in the entire game.
...No.
Looking back on it now, the character being trash wasn't the problem at all.
The real problem was that I'd transmigrated as a female character, and that this world had a separate male protagonist of its own.
And that male protagonist was the root of every single disaster.
Have you ever stopped to wonder about this?
Those gift items that raise affection levels in games like these... how exactly do they actually work?
Of course, receiving a gift makes a person happy, and happiness breeds affection. I naturally assumed that was all there was to it, so until I received one myself, I never gave it much thought.
But an Affection Gift turned out to be far more incredible than I'd ever imagined.
It's an item that fills even an idiot like me's head completely full of Master, you see.
Why don't you try receiving one yourselves sometime?
It's truly wonderful!
