This is Rai Redford, who holds the Fool card, No. 5, in the Tarot.
His red eyes are part of the card's concept, so he normally disguises them as brown. Perhaps I should make a Red-version Rai someday, too.
This is Seth Celesi, who holds Tarot Card No. 1, The Magician.
The concept was to have him casually doodle over the card however he pleased, matching his personality.
Tarot Card No. 14, Temperance, represents our heroine, Filia Serios.
She plays the role of maintaining balance, sometimes being swept along by Rai and other times stopping him in his tracks.
Honestly, the episodes involving Filia had felt a little vague up until now, so I felt like they were getting overlooked. That's why I'm really happy to see her finally head out on an assassination mission with Rai.
Tarot Card No. 8, Strength, represents Aslan Skape.
He may be an idiot—actually, he really is an idiot—but Aslan is a dependable friend you can always count on.
After making so many revisions because of the eyes, I ended up using the fully censored version as the cover.
Tarot Card No. 17, The Star, represents Dia Desbella, a more capable and charming superior version of Zero.
She bears the title of a free-spirited, lazy genius.
Honestly, I wanted to put her in No. 16, The Tower, but another character had already been chosen for that card, so she was pushed to No. 17 instead.
Tarot Card No. 2, The High Priestess, represents Abigail.
Personally, Abigail was my favorite when I first started reading the novel on the platform.
It was a shame that she rarely appeared in episodes because, by nature, she had zero sense of cooperation and often preferred to operate alone.
I spent a lot of time choosing between The Chariot, which carries the meaning of revenge, and The High Priestess, but in the end, I chose The High Priestess.
Tarot Card No. 6, The Lovers. Everyone's beloved—no, a goddess. Aria Sain Brigilla.
Abigail's image is so strong that there may be some readers who don't realize that Aria, who has had relatively little screen time, has red eyes.
I originally envisioned a two-person illustration featuring Aria and Zero, but in the end, I changed it to a solo shot of Aria.
Please give lots of love to the fresh, youthful romance between Aria and Zero.
There are so many characters that I'll try to post the covers more frequently.
