For generations, the Northern Grand Duke's family has protected the Empire's borders, enduring endless hardship in the name of duty. Konrad has continued that legacy, holding on to the hope that his fiancée, Imperial Princess Eleonore, would finally secure his house the support it deserved.

After receiving an imperial order to hunt down a magic beast threatening an elf serf village, Konrad completes the mission alone and makes the long journey to the capital. There, he finds a city far wealthier than the one he remembers visiting with his father, and is summoned to discuss the future of his engagement.
