save5. Class Change to Apprentice Magic Swordsman (Mischievous Brats' Prank)
"Hoo, I finally finished this damn hunting."
Three days had passed since seeing the Slime's Bad Ending.
For the past three days, I've been going in and out of the Forest of Small Things and continuing to hunt.
My goal, naturally, is to kill the slime that killed me.
To accomplish that, on the first day, I caught horned rabbits like crazy and reached level 4.
On the second day, I went deeper, discovered the slime habitat, and continued slime hunting.
By the way, when I asked Ajim, that man didn't seem to know that slimes inhabited the Forest of Small Things.
I guess because it's not a place people visit often, there was little information.
"You damn thing! In the end, I won!"
I raise one arm over the corpse of the slime I've defeated, savoring the joy of victory.
[You have hunted Mutant Slime (Boss) Lv.10. 100 coins are awarded.]
Looking at the message that appeared after my successful revenge, the slime that had assaulted me really wasn't an ordinary slime.
I already knew from seeing the Bad Ending that this guy had higher intelligence than other slimes, but I didn't expect it to be this much.
"But in the end, it's still just a slime."
In the Bad Ending, it seemed to have devoured me, taken my knowledge, and become a disaster-level entity.
But at this point in time, before eating me, no matter how smart it was, its level was somewhere between a goblin and an orc.
As for that previous death, that was because I was ambushed— once I know the opponent's means, I'm not so weak that I can't catch a monster of that level.
"Oh, it gives a lot of experience. I hit 10 in one go."
This was an unplanned thing.
Originally, no matter how long I hunted here, my plan was to reach about level 8 and then move elsewhere to hit level 10.
Level 10 was an important level.
The level at which you can job-change from a basic job to another job.
You have reached Level 10 and can job-change.
"Apprentice Magic Swordsman job change."
You job-change to Apprentice Magic Swordsman.
My choice, without a moment's hesitation, was set as Magic Swordsman.
Even though "Apprentice" is tacked on the front.
In the first place, jobs that don't change into the standard jobs like Mage, Swordsman, Priest, Thief, but instead mix with other lines or have significantly different branches, tend to have "Apprentice" attached even after job-changing, so it can't be helped.
In that respect, since Magic Swordsman is a mix of the Mage and Swordsman lines, I'll inevitably have to be an apprentice once more.
Right now, the Paladin I chose in my first run was also a mix of the Priest and Swordsman lines, so after being an Apprentice Priest, I job-changed into Apprentice Paladin.

"Stat distribution is done with this. And I gained two skills too."
Now, unlike when I was an Apprentice Mage, I'm not just hunting with pure magic— I've taken up a sword too, so the proportion of Strength has naturally increased.
However, because I had to distribute it among other stats, compared to other jobs at the same level, the stats are just a little bit lacking and weak.
Even though my stats are 1.5 times higher than others.
For example, for a physical class like Swordsman, typically by this point they would choose either Strength or Agility to focus on and distribute stats intensely, so hitting around 30 in one of them is the norm.
For Mages, the difference is even greater.
Mages don't need to put points into physical stats, and even if they do, they only put them into Stamina, so a level 10 Mage would have already exceeded 40 in Magic Power alone.
"Even just with this, the gap will slowly widen from now on... and on top of that, my skill proficiency will also have to be split and grown separately from now on..."
As the level gets higher and higher, the gap in skill growth speed will only become larger.
If that happens...
"Uheuheu."
I let out a perverted laugh and spent a moment at that spot.
"Well, now that I've caught the boss, I'm graduating from this area."
On the way back to Chato after hunting.
I sold the monster materials I got from hunting to Ajim at a reasonable price.
It's a monster anyone can catch, and low-level items with poor performance, so I didn't get a good price.
But with this much money, I can buy one sword.
Not a good sword, just a ready-made one to use for a while and then throw away?
As for weapons, later on I can just get the hero-exclusive equipment that exists as a hidden piece in a secret location, and that's the end of it.
But I do need to get a weapon to use in the meantime.
Now that I have the Basic Swordsmanship skill, I need to use a sword to raise my Swordsmanship skill level.
I thoroughly rested at the inn for a day and got up.
Today's schedule: obtaining a sword to use for the time being.
"Alright, so I need to find a blacksmith."
Generally, there are two main ways to obtain a sword.
The first is to go to a local merchant guild and buy a sword.
And the second is to buy a sword at a blacksmith.
Honestly, if I want to get a sword easily, I could just buy one from Ajim, the merchant I already know, following the first method.
That man, with whom I'm currently maintaining a pretty good relationship, would probably sell me a decent one at a reasonable price.
But I had no intention of doing that.
"Even if I switch swords later, I have to use a good one."
It's a principle I stubbornly stuck to in the last round too.
If you buy a lower-quality weapon for the sake of cost-effectiveness or whatever, the durability wears down in the middle of hunting, forcing you to stop hunting, and that's just not something you should do.
On the other hand, if you buy several cheap weapons and carry them in your inventory, when it's time to move on to the next weapon, you'll inevitably have 2 or 3 left over, which is a waste of money.
In the end, getting a good-quality weapon from a blacksmith and using it was the least costly.
"But where in the world is the blacksmith?"
Even though it's a frontier city, Chato is a city after all, so it's considerably large and complex.
If I search hard, I'm sure I could find a decent blacksmith...
Hmm, but that would take a long time, right?
Of course, if I use save-load, I could save time.
But I don't exactly want to waste time to that extent either.
"Well... maybe I can ask some kids?"
Going to Ajim for something like this would be too much of a bother.
He's the owner of a merchant guild anyway, so he's probably busy.
And as for asking a passing adult male...
'It'd be better if I just told them to fuck me.'
Having spent a few days in this city, I've decided not to expect anything from men other than Ajim anymore.
Every time I meet them, sexual harassment is the default, and they're all just thinking about how to bang me.
Of course, I don't dislike that aspect, but there's a time and place for that.
And if I ask women, women don't really know about these things.
As I looked around, I spotted a few kids playing, swinging tree branches like swords.
I could ask those kids.
"Hey there, kids. Can noona ask you something for a sec?"
"Us? Why?"
"Noona's looking for a blacksmith right now. I was wondering if you could tell me where it is if you know."
The little kids stopped their sword fight and approached me.
They exchanged glances with each other, looking like they were contemplating which blacksmith to introduce.
Was I right that even in this mess of a city in this mess of a country, kids are still innocent?
It was the moment I relaxed my guard towards them and waited for the children to guide me to the blacksmith.

"Heehee! Found an opening!"
"White panties~ white panties~"
Suddenly approaching, the little brats flipped up my skirt, exposing my panties.
And even that wasn't all...
Smack!
While I was pulling down my skirt that had been flipped up from the front, a kid who had secretly come up behind me slapped my butt so hard it made a sound, and then ran away.
"Kyaak! Y-You...!"
"Whoa! She's mad! Scatter!"
"Hey, stop right there?!"
I tried to catch the kids, but seeing the little brats scatter in all directions in an instant, I gave up the chase.
Those brats... to run away so quickly like that.
Could it be that the exchanging glances they did just a moment ago was for this?
'You reap what you sow...'
The old saying had not a single flaw.
Indeed, these are children born from the terrible parents of this terrible city; it's my fault for hoping such kids would be innocent.
"Uugh... my butt hurts... it's completely red."
Having given up on chasing the kids, I had to rub my butt, which bore a red handprint, on the spot and soothe the pain.
That little brat...
Just what was his Strength stat?
He can't possibly be stronger than me, right?
"Ugh...! What are you looking at?!"
Even while this was happening, I felt stares and looked around.
As expected, countless men were staring at me rubbing my butt.
I screamed a shrill "Bbeeaak!" and chased the men away.
Of course, there weren't really many men who actually left.
Instead, they were men who sneered at me as a stupid bitch and walked away.
"Kgh...!"
It feels good, but it's humiliating.
With my face turned bright red, I hung my head and decided to return to my lodging.
For now, I should first compose my feelings, and then later, around lunchtime, go see Ajim or do something...
"Found an opening!"
"Kyaaahk?! Y-You little...?!"
Smack!!!
It was just as I was about to go back to the inn.
Taking advantage of my unguarded moment, a little brat appeared from behind and, with even more force than before, flipped up my skirt and slapped my butt.

Thud!
A force that was simply hard to believe came from a little kid.
Struck forward by that force, I ended up tumbling to the ground with a thud.
"Keekeek. Guys, now let's really bounce!"
The kids ran off quickly before I could even get up.
People giggled and mocked me, seeing my skirt flipped up by the kids and me falling after getting my butt slapped.
Under the sneers of numerous men, I hung my head deeply for a while out of sheer embarrassment right where I was.
Without even realizing that my skirt was flipped up and my panties were completely exposed.
It was only later, when I recognized that I had been lying face-down with my panties exposed to people, that I hurriedly fled from that spot, practically running away towards my lodging.
