Ever since the day I encountered the witch of the graveyard, I had been coming to see Eve every night. This remained the same even as I prepared for the main story.
I couldn't find her if I came during the day. It was as if she lived hidden away in some cave. So, I had no choice but to come at night.
Just like now.
"Hello."
"......"
Tonight marked the tenth night I had come to visit.
Even a snail would have lowered its guard by now.
"I'm here."
But perhaps this was the time to realize that there were people more wary than snails...

Eve glanced at me, then turned her head away. And then she stared blankly at the sky.
Today, as usual, I strode towards the center of the cemetery, but she showed signs of discomfort from about 10m away.
'I've gone from 20m to 10m.'
I wondered if I'd be able to stand right next to her in ten days... but then I became doubtful of what I was even doing.
'So. What if I actually get close?'
Thinking too deeply about it made me feel empty, so I stopped.
Things will work out somehow... as friends or whatever.
Anyway, I'd made my presence known again today, so it was time to part ways.
