Loot Check
Loot Check
"Oh, the coins came to me."
Kim Ha-yoon said that the moment she confirmed the bastard was dead.
It looked like the system had recognized that final ice spike she'd driven in as the killing blow.
"Roughly how much mana came in?"
"Uh... a little over six hundred."
...So the guy was loaded.
Well, he was that strong, so it made sense he'd piled up a nice stack of coins.
For all I knew, he'd even been one of my customers at some point.
"Should I give them to you?"
Uncharacteristically, Kim Ha-yoon was hesitating.
I shook my head.
"Just keep them. I can get coins whenever I want."
"If... you say so."
At that, she gave a faint smile, clearly satisfied.
Every time, I was reminded that her smile was prettier when she actually used it.
Would've been nice if she did it more often.
"What? I figure I should take about half. I worked my ass off too, you know."
But Ha Hui-ryeong had a slightly different opinion from mine.
Her shameless demand for her share shattered Kim Ha-yoon's faint smile.
Kim Ha-yoon furrowed her brow and grumbled, clearly displeased.
"That person... gave it to me."
"The hell are you on about. That and this are two different things. I'm asking for my fair share. You think you're the only one who had it rough?"
"...Cheapskate."
"Look at this one. I let you off easy lately and now you keep running your mouth. You wanna settle the pecking order today?"
She'd been quiet for a while, and now here we go again.
I let out a short internal sigh and started walking ahead toward the truck.
"Both of you, stop right there and let's move. We need to call Ji-min and Ha-rin over."
"Can't we just... text them?"
"Hmm... should we?"
Come to think of it, that was an option.
For some reason, the signal hadn't cut out and had lasted quite a long time.
Same with the electricity.
The water ran out quickly, but the power was still going.
Well, it might die tomorrow, so we couldn't let our guard down.
"Then since we're done here, can you tell them to come this way?"
"Yes, I will."
Kim Ha-yoon answered and immediately pulled out her phone to type.
"Hey, how long are you gonna keep yourself buried in that bitch?"
Ha Hui-ryeong asked, her voice thoroughly annoyed and sulky.
I shrugged.
"This is more comfortable. It doesn't even take any effort."
"...Doesn't your dick snap?"
"It's that kind of skill. Honestly, I feel more and more energized. Look. I'm ridiculously fresh."
Thwack, thwack, thwack, thwack!
Even when I thrust my hips, I got no response now—not even a moan.
The woman named Su-ah had long since rolled her eyes back. Whether she'd completely lost consciousness, I didn't know.
"Isn't she... dead?"
"No coins came in, so probably not. Fortunately."
"Yeah, right. Ugh, seriously, you're not normal."
I didn't particularly want to hear that from you.
Anyway, as we waited there for a moment, I spotted Jeong Ji-min and Kang Ha-rin walking toward us from a distance.
For some reason, Jeong Ji-min was supporting Kang Ha-rin, who looked deathly pale.
"Ha-rin unnie, are you okay?"
"...No. Blaargh...!"
She'd clamped her hand over her mouth, but Kang Ha-rin ended up vomiting onto the floor anyway.
The devastated carnage around her must have been far too shocking.
Which made sense... a landscape strewn with blood and chunks of flesh wasn't exactly easy on the stomach.
Dismembered limbs were the least of it—there were corpses everywhere with blown-apart heads or entrails spilling out.
Well, the rest of us had gotten used to it, so it didn't faze us.
"You, you people... you're insane. How can you, how can you do this kind of..."
"Hmph, quit being dramatic. Why are you overreacting to something so minor?"
Ha Hui-ryeong brushed off Kang Ha-rin's criticism lightly.
This time, I had to agree with her.
Honestly, she'd have to see far worse in the future, so I couldn't indulge her whining about just this much.
"Yeah, Hui-ryeong's right. Instead of wasting time on pointless talk, get ahold of yourself. You're going to have to get used to it from now on."
It'd be trouble if she didn't get used to it.
How was she supposed to survive this brutal world if she threw up every single time?
"I think I've gotten fairly used to it. Last time it was a little rough, but now I don't feel much."
Jeong Ji-min said that with a laugh.
And she had good reason to be.
She'd killed her own boyfriend with her bare hands, so what could possibly faze her?
"I didn't ask you."
"Wow, that's harsh. Why are you only so prickly with me?"
"Well..."
I trailed off.
Well, obviously, there should be a distinction between a girl who was a virgin and one who'd been defiled, wasn't there?
It was the same principle as feeling more attached to a brand-new product than one that's already been handled by someone else.
"You don't need to know. More importantly, now that you're here, let's search for spoils in pairs. The department store's pretty big, so it'll take a while."
"Huh? In pairs?"
"Yeah."
I'd already decided the teams.
"Ha Hui-ryeong and Jeong Ji-min, Kim Ha-yoon and Kang Ha-rin. Let's do it this way."
I'd attached one combatant to each pair to handle any unexpected situations, so there probably wouldn't be any issues.
Even if there were any survivors left, Ha Hui-ryeong and Kim Ha-yoon—those two alone—would be more than enough to beat them down.
Besides, we'd also wiped out all the zombies around the department store before any commotion could start, so all that remained was leisurely checking the spoils.
"What about you, then?"
"I have this woman, don't I?"
I tapped the head of the woman dangling from my front.
"You planning to carry her around the whole time?"
"At least until we leave here?"
"Wow, you're really something else."
Ha Hui-ryeong shook her head back and forth as if dumbfounded.
The other women's reactions varied.
"Take it in moderation. Don't go complaining you're out of steam later."
"Don't worry about that. I've been taking stamina enhancers regularly."
"...Fine. Do whatever you want."
As always, Kim Ha-yoon wore an impassive, dry expression as if she had zero interest, while Kang Ha-rin grimaced in disgust, probably recalling her own first experience.
Only Jeong Ji-min had a bright face.
"Is this person going to be the new youngest? Perfect timing—I was hoping for a well-behaved little sister. This is great!"
"We'll see how things go."
"Oh, just bring her in. They say three wives and four concubines—isn't it true the more women you have, the better, oppa?"
Jeong Ji-min's eyes sparkled brightly.
It seemed this girl was scheming to disperse, even just a little, all the nagging she got from Kim Ha-yoon and Ha Hui-ryeong.
Her intentions were so blatant it was off-putting.
At the very least, you'd need some pretense to let yourself be lured in, wouldn't you?
Granted, being the underling of Ha Hui-ryeong and Kim Ha-yoon wouldn't be easy, so I could understand her desperation to some degree, but...
This is a bit much.
"Hey, quit the useless chatter and just follow me."
"Kyaaack...! Hui-ryeong unnie...! Use your words, words! That hurts!"
"I've seen plenty of bitches like you to know that words don't work. Since ancient times, the rod is the cure."
"That's prejudice...! Agh! Okay! I'm sorry!"
At that exact moment, with perfect timing, Ha Hui-ryeong smacked Jeong Ji-min on the back of the head and peeled her off me.
Grinning, Ha Hui-ryeong seized Jeong Ji-min by the scruff of the neck.
"Hey, it's a department store, so there's gotta be some designer bags, right? There can't be that many crazies looting that stuff in times like these."
"Ohhh! You're right! Nice, unnie! Let's go right now!"
At those words, Jeong Ji-min flipped her attitude in an instant, as if she'd never been grumbling at all.
She followed behind Ha Hui-ryeong with a noticeably perked-up expression.
...Pretty damn good at taming.
"Then we'll go too."
"...Alright."
After that, Kim Ha-yoon and Kang Ha-rin also set off.
The place they were headed was the grocery section.
Given their subtle but keen interest in food, that was only natural.
"Hmm, was it Su-ah? Yeah, Su-ah. Where should we go? I want to look for some books. What do you think?"
No answer came back.
But I kept talking to her as I went up the escalator.
I wasn't crazy—it was simply to amuse myself.
After moving for quite a while like that, I finally arrived at my desired destination.
The fifth floor.
The bookstore section was quite sizable.
There were so many different kinds of books on display that I was momentarily torn about where to start.
'Wonder if there's anything decent around to kill time with.'
I took my time surveying the place.
Truthfully, I didn't much care for reading books, but I had no other worthwhile means of entertainment.
All I ever did was have sex.
And while that was satisfying in its own way, occasionally I also wanted to spend time in solitary contemplation, which was why I sought out this place.
'What good is it if the signal's fine? The game company's servers are trash.'
Of course, the biggest reason was that the mobile game I usually enjoyed wasn't running properly.
"Oh, this one's pretty decent."
There were results.
While skimming through plot summaries, I managed to find a few decent works.
Even I—someone who'd always been far removed from books—thought they were pretty good, so maybe the others would take an interest too.
I was in the middle of farming books for a while.
"Hey!"
"Whoa—aaagh!!"
Suddenly, someone gave my shoulder a light shove.
Naturally, I was startled half to death and jumped right there on the spot.
A familiar cackling laugh came from behind me.
"Pfft! Hey, isn't that a bit of an overreaction?"
I let out a long sigh and slowly turned around.
There, for some reason, stood Ha Hui-ryeong, who was supposed to be busy roaming the designer boutiques.
"Huff... Hey, didn't you say you were going somewhere else?"
"I did, but I got bored of that too eventually. So I came looking for you. I was curious what you were up to, and here you are, pathetically reading books?"
"What about Jeong Ji-min?"
"Think she's so excited she didn't even notice I was gone?"
Wait, you mean you just left her there alone?
When I gave her a dumbfounded look, Ha Hui-ryeong smirked, telling me not to worry.
"It's fine. By now, she's probably linked up with Kim Ha-yoon's group. I already told them via text."
"Well, that's a relief."
Ha Hui-ryeong picked up one of the books I'd dropped and read the title.
"'And Then There Were None'? Isn't this a mystery novel? Should be above your level."
"...Just what do you take me for?"
"Hmm, a woman-crazed, blockheaded loser?"
At that cold yet accurate assessment, I was at a loss for words.
But more importantly... you've actually read this book?
That's a surprise.
"I'd rather not be called a blockhead by you. The rest, I can't say."
"Heh, still, I've probably read way more books than you. I might not look it, but I'm not picky."
I bet.
That's probably why you had no qualms about reading the comics I was into.
Anyway.
"So, what's your business? There must be a reason you suddenly came looking for me."
"Are we the type that needs a reason?"
"That's... not it, but since you came alone, I figure there's something."
At my words, Ha Hui-ryeong didn't answer right away.
Uncharacteristically, she hesitated.
"What? What's going on?"
"Well, it's just...."
Her face was slightly flushed for some reason.
Then, slowly, she continued.
"It's just... you know, lately. We only ever do it together with everyone... and I don't think we've had a chance to just do it by ourselves...."
"Pffhaha!"
"Hey! Don't laugh! I said don't laugh!"
When the unexpected remark made me burst out laughing, Ha Hui-ryeong shrieked with her face instantly heating up.
The sight of her cheeks turning as red as a ripe persimmon was something else.
In short, she was saying that she missed having time just the two of us and had purposely come to find me like this.
Seriously, this was ridiculously cute.
"So, basically, you want to do it—just the two of us—sometimes?"
"...Yeah. Why, you don't want to?"
"It's not that I don't want to, but...."
My gaze flicked over to the woman dangling from my front.
At that, Ha Hui-ryeong's eyes turned fierce, glaring daggers.
"First, put that bitch down. Put her down and let's talk."
"Alright, alright. Stop getting all mean and sulky."
"Since when did I ever get sulky...!"
As she bristled with anger, I chuckled and laid Su-ah down on top of the displayed books.
Shloop. With a lewd sound, semen gushed out from the junction where we were connected.
A magnificent sight every single time.
I gave an erect nipple one firm pinch, then approached Ha Hui-ryeong.
"Eugh... Hey, wash up first. The smell is awful."
"What's there to wash? You can just clean me off yourself."
"Ugh, come on! I'll put up with a lot for you, but this thing's been marinating way too long! This is a no!"
"Then I'm not doing it either."
"Hey! Goddammit, you golden little shit, seriously...!"
When I defiantly folded my arms and stood still, Ha Hui-ryeong spat curses, then squeezed her eyes shut.
Oh, had she finally made up her mind?
But the answer that came back was completely different from what I'd expected.
"...That enema you gave me in the afternoon. I took it earlier, so... just get over here."
Wha, what?
"So you're saying you'll let me do it in your ass? Did you go to the bathroom? Did you really empty yourself out?"
"...Ugh, yes! You got it, so get over here, dammit!"
I didn't hesitate any longer and pressed myself flush against her from behind.
