Seo Na-yeon's Aggressive Intrusion
"Understood."
Lisa gave a crisp reply and immediately began demonstrating her hunter skills. She was in close range, unleashing a barrage of incredibly powerful techniques one after another. Weapons poured out continuously from her inventory. Lisa remained expressionless as she wielded them, but the sheer force of her skills drew involuntary gasps of admiration.
Since this was the lowest difficulty setting, the moment her skills erupted, holes punched through the walls and the ceiling came crashing down.
Moonlight Slash
Arrow Storm
Shadow Dance
Raging Wave
......
Every time she unleashed a skill, messages flooded in nonstop, notifying me that I'd acquired it.
It's working perfectly.
This method—combining hunter training software that Kang A-jin had bought with sorcery—worked flawlessly for me. I watched Lisa as she relentlessly fired off skills for a good while before pausing to recharge her mana. Somehow, seeing her display such dazzling combat prowess made her seem even more beautiful than usual. And she was dressed in her usual style: a maid outfit. I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if we had sex inside this program.
But I probably shouldn't.
Kang A-jin and Valentina were right outside. I'd save any sneaky experiments for later.
At the same time, another thought crossed my mind.
I need to borrow more weapons.
There were far more types of weapons I could wield than I'd expected.
"Did everything go as planned?"
Kang A-jin asked as I removed the simulation device.
"Yeah, I was shocked. It went way smoother and easier than I thought."
I glanced at Lisa, who was taking off her device beside me.
"Lisa, you were incredible. I had no idea you had it in you like that."
"Of course~ Our Lisa is the best. Hohoho!"
Valentina beamed as if she'd been the one praised. Lisa's cheeks flushed slightly.
"Are you staying over tonight?"
Kang A-jin asked with a hopeful expression.
"No. I've got some thinking to do alone, and other stuff to handle."
Truth be told, staying over would be convenient, but it would mean another marathon session with all three of them. Not that it sounded bad, but it felt unfair somehow. I'd told the other women it was better if we spent some time apart, so coming back after just one day and crashing here would look weird. If the others found out later, I'd have no defense.
"What? Really~ Honey, you can't do this to me? Come on, let's go together. I'll live with you at your place~"
"My place is too small."
I peeled Valentina off me as she clung on.
"All right, then. I'll see you off."
Kang A-jin said with a resigned look.
After seeing Kang A-jin off, I headed home. Lisa had turned out to be far more powerful and flashy than I'd anticipated, with a ton of skills under her belt. I'd only acquired them so far—I hadn't tested them out yet. But having seen them with my own eyes, their real-world destructive potential was obvious as day.
I was itching to dive into a dungeon soon.
An S-rank right off the bat might be too much, though?
From what I'd heard, conquering S-rank dungeons worked differently from lower ones. There were plenty of A-rank and below dungeons and hunters, but S-ranks were few and far between for both. Did they go in turns, or did every S-rank hunter pile in for each clear? The fastest way to find out was to ask Kim Seol-bi.
For some real combat practice, I decided to tackle a few A-rank dungeons solo. Judging from the way Kim Seol-bi hunted before, they should be a breeze at my level. Instead of calling the other women, I'd go alone.
I pulled out my phone and booked a dungeon slot. Morning: head back to the gear supplier for more weapon rentals. Afternoon: dungeon dive. There were plenty of A-rank dungeons in Seoul, so I reserved one available tomorrow afternoon.
"Huuu......"
Though my body was still crammed in this tiny one-room, my mindset had completely changed. The urge to escape the cramped space had faded. Had I started seeing myself as too valuable now? Surroundings didn't matter anymore.
Basking in that satisfying feeling as I lay on the bed, the doorbell rang.
Ding-dong—
The sound echoed through the quiet, dark room, instantly reminding me of the day Kim Seol-bi had shown up. Everything had started from then.
I wondered who it could be. No packages ordered, no appointments. Maybe one of the women? If so, she'd come to spend time alone with me—and turning her away coldly would feel wrong. Being alone had left me a bit lonely anyway, so I figured I'd enjoy some sweet time with this mystery girl, then tell her not to drop by like this from now on.
That's when I approached the intercom. I froze at the sight of the person reflected there.
Who the hell?
At first glance, it looked like a guy. Tall build, short hair. Tattoos peeked out here and there on the skin. But as the head turned, long hair draped down, and the face came into clearer view. Piercings on the nose and lip, but a stunningly beautiful face. Dressed tough, but in normal clothes, she'd stand out big time.
I felt like I'd seen this face before. With features this distinctive, forgetting would be weirder.
That's when a clunk came from the door. The doorknob had come clean off and hit the floor.
Seeing this bizarre situation snapped it into place—the woman on the intercom was Seo Na-yeon.
One of Korea's ten S-rank hunters—one of ten now, including me, since Jo Dong-geun was dead. But why was she here......?
My first thought was that maybe we'd crossed paths somewhere, and she'd come like Kim Seol-bi had. I didn't remember, but Kim Seol-bi had spotted me from afar, fallen under Unreasonable Favor, and tracked me down. Could the same have happened to Seo Na-yeon?
Unlike Kim Seol-bi's polite doorbell, she'd straight-up broken the knob—but Kim Eun-bi, usually so cute and innocent, had charged in aggressively too.
Somehow, that doesn't feel right......
Not just her tough vibe. I sensed a heavy, ominous aura from beyond the door.
The door creaked open smoothly now that the knob was gone. There stood the woman from the intercom. In person, her presence loomed even larger, like a pro wrestler in a hardcore gimmick. Seo Na-yeon grinned at me.
"Hey, oppa?"
"Seo...... Na-yeon-ssi?"
"Yeah. Surprised? Sorry. I'm not big on patience. Rang the bell, but you didn't open up quick, so I yanked it right off."
"Why......"
"We'll talk details inside. You gonna leave your guest standing out here?"
Of course I had zero desire to let an uninvited intruder in. But she didn't seem interested in asking permission. Her leather-booted feet thudded as she strode right into my home.
"Whew~~ Talk about humble. You really live here? What'd Kim Seol-bi and Kang A-jin say about their boyfriend crashing in a dump like this? If it were me, I'd buy you an apartment first thing."
I scowled. Had this woman just...... name-dropped Kim Seol-bi and Kang A-jin?
My mind raced with possibilities. Park Hyun-jun's raid on Kim Seol-bi's place, killing Jo Dong-geun recently. But what did any of that have to do with the woman standing before me?
Seo Na-yeon licked her lips at my puzzled expression. A piercing glinted on her long tongue.
"You're so damn average. How the hell'd you snag a bitch like Kim Seol-bi? You've got some charm, sure, but not enough to make a haughty S-rank fall head over heels. Hmm, must be that skill, right?"
She muttered to herself, then addressed me directly.
"Use that skill on me too. Not some virgin cosplay prude like Kim Seol-bi—girls like me who know how to play are the real treat. Tempted, oppa? Bagging two S-rank hunters. Did you save a country in a past life? Ah! You haven't fucked Kim Seol-bi yet, have you? Makes sense—S-ranks can't just sleep with anyone. Especially not her; she'd never jump you while pretending to be all pure. Right?"
Seo Na-yeon stared me down piercingly. My brain was too busy parsing her words to respond.
What the hell is this?
