Subjugating the Delinquent Girl
He severed the connection in an instant and returned to the real world.
He needed to get his thoughts in order, first and foremost.
"Serién!!"
He rounded on the demon grinning right in front of him, fury in his voice.
"What? Something wrong?"
"Why didn't Heavenly Body and Martial God apply?"
"Huh? The rewards you earned from the tutorial were applied to you — the real-world Dong-hyun. Of course they wouldn't apply to Kim Tae-jin when you possessed him in another world."
"What? That doesn't make any sense! Then how the hell am I supposed to clear the other quests?!"
"Well, you're supposed to handle those with your own ability, obviously. If I handed you the traits on top of everything else, it'd be way too easy, wouldn't it?"
Dong-hyun was left speechless by Serién's outrageous logic.
"Then what was the point of grinding through the tutorial for those rewards?"
"Huh? The rewards help you in the real world. That's the only reason you didn't get beaten today. Listen carefully, Dong-hyun. The rewards I give you aren't meant to make the quests easier. I give you something useful in the real world in exchange for clearing the quests."
Serién's tone had gone dead serious. Until now she had always mixed a little teasing into everything she said, but hearing her speak like this carried a genuine weight — a pressure that settled over him.
"Ah... okay. But I'm already captured right now. What am I supposed to do?"
"I already told you. If you fail a quest, I take your soul."
Put that way, a demon really was a demon.
"So as long as I clear it, that's all that matters?"
"That's right."
"Ah... I can't think about this right now. I'm going to sleep and deal with it tomorrow. Coming back to the real world is making me feel drunk all over again."
"Heheh. Sure. You've still got plenty of time. Take it slow~"
She flashed that mischievous grin again and slipped right down beside him.
"What are you doing?"
"What does it look like? I'm sleeping with you. Not allowed? Heheh."
Her shameless answer and that little laugh pulled a chuckle out of Dong-hyun despite himself.
"No reason it wouldn't be. Come here."
He went a step further and offered his arm as a pillow for her head. Serién latched onto him as if he had become her favorite stuffed animal, wrapping herself around him tight.
Dong-hyun found her soft, warm body more than agreeable, and sleep took him almost at once.
It was morning by the time Dong-hyun woke. A knock from the housekeeper pulled him out of sleep.
As before, she laid out the clothes he was to wear and left. A fresh outfit prepared for him every single day. Given the chaos he had caused yesterday, the fact that she was still doing this suggested the housekeeper was not one of his stepmother's people.
He finished getting ready for work, took the car, and headed out again.
He pulled out of the house and onto the road. The alleys of Seongbuk-dong were surprisingly narrow for such a wealthy neighborhood, so he drove with care.
"Huh? Why is there construction?"
He had been following the navigation when he found roadwork blocking the way ahead. He had no choice but to take a left and detour through a more secluded stretch.
He had been driving for a while when he came upon a car sitting dead in the middle of the road, hazard lights blinking. He waited about a minute. Nothing. Dong-hyun leaned on the horn.
Still not a flicker of movement.
"Ah... what the hell. First thing in the morning."
He got out and walked up to the vehicle blocking his path.
Knock, knock.
"Excuse me. You can't just leave your car blocking the road like this."
The driver's side door opened and a man climbed out. A big guy. Broad.
"Kang Dong-hyun?"
The moment the man stepped down and called his name, Dong-hyun flinched. The roadwork, the car blocking the lane — all of it had been aimed at him.
That was when two more vehicles pulled up from behind and ten men piled out. People started climbing out of the car in front as well. Twenty men in total, each one gripping a tool, began closing in on Dong-hyun.
The secluded stretch had no side streets to slip through. He was completely surrounded. His fighting ability had improved, but he had no idea how long he could last against armed opponents.
Dong-hyun immediately opened the quest window and tapped Subjugating the Delinquent Girl.
If he had to clear a quest anyway, he might as well claim the reward here and now and use it to get stronger.
His consciousness was sucked away once more.
Possession
B-rank
When Dong-hyun came to, he was standing in some alleyway.
A moment later a headache hit him, and information came flooding in.
The man he had possessed was named Choi Sun-woo — a twenty-year-old university student raised by a single mother. The household had been poor, but he was bright, and he had always done well in his studies. Well enough to get into a good university.
In this world, education was compulsory all the way through university. You took an exam in middle school to get into a good high school, then sat the college entrance exam to get into a good university. Tuition was cheap, and the system was designed to give everyone a proper education.
The problem was that the kids who had spent high school playing delinquent got to go to university too. They still had to test in by rank, of course, but even at Choi Sun-woo's school, that type was never hard to find.
Hankuk University, where Sun-woo was enrolled, gathered every kind of prodigy South Korea had to offer. A great many children of chaebol families had enrolled there as well — and those chaebol kids were still playing the same delinquent games they had played in middle and high school. These were the children of people so powerful that even university professors and the police did not dare touch them.
Sun-woo had been the kind of student who kept his head down and studied. Here, that was precisely the problem. In the real world, university grades did not mean all that much. Here, because education was compulsory, GPA carried enormous weight. The chaebol kids had entered university under the crushing expectations of their families, so they took their grades very seriously.
And every time an exam came around, Sun-woo took the top ranks. That was when the harassment started — quiet at first, then steadily crossing every line. They had approached him at the beginning, acting like they wanted to be friends. The moment they learned he had no background worth mentioning, the bullying began.
It started with controlling everyone around him at school, then gradually added violence. Sun-woo had endured it all in silence and thrown himself into his studies. But yesterday had been more than even he could bear.
Three people led the pack that tormented him: Kim Tae-yang, heir to the Hanseong Group; his twin sister, Kim Se-bin; and his girlfriend, Han Su-yeon.
They had dragged Sun-woo to a private warehouse they owned, beaten him, then stripped him naked, tied him up, and mocked him. They had ordered the girls around them to touch his cock and jerk him off by hand. Sun-woo had tried to hold out, but the relentless humiliation forced him to cum three separate times. Kim Tae-yang had cackled the whole time, filming it all on his phone. They had called him a premature ejaculator, a pervert, every mocking name they could think of, and Sun-woo had suffered so badly he wanted to die.
The walk home in clothes torn to rags had been a heavy one. He had snuck into the house so his mother would not see him like that, and then he had cried for a long time. And still, when the next day came, Sun-woo had gotten up and started walking to school again.
That was when Dong-hyun possessed him.
"Hah... what a bunch of pieces of shit."
Even Dong-hyun thought they were scum. Receiving Sun-woo's memories meant receiving every ounce of the despair, the shame, and the pain right along with them.
"How am I supposed to deal with these kids?"
There were three subjugation targets. He needed a plan. If this were Dong-hyun in his own body, he could have resolved it with his family background. Whether a nobody could take on second-generation chaebol by raw force alone was another question entirely. The three-year time limit meant he had to settle this before university graduation.
"Status Window."
Name:Choi Sun-woo
Age:20
Skills:None
"Damn... these stats are tragic."
The numbers were actually higher than his own, not that he paid that any mind — he only had complaints for the low ones. On top of that, Choi Sun-woo carried the same wretched traits Dong-hyun himself had originally possessed: Low Self-Esteem, Frailty, Two Left Feet.
If he went to school right now, he would just get bullied all over again.
"Ah... but Sun-woo forced himself to keep going through all of that. Do I have the right to throw away the effort he put in?"
If it were up to him, he would just go home, work out, do whatever it took to get stronger first. But Sun-woo had clung to his pride even through that agony. Whether Dong-hyun, wearing his body, had any right to ignore that — that was the real question.
"Ah, screw it... I'll go to school first. I need to see the bastards' faces before I can figure anything out."
He decided to meet it head-on, at least for now.
Dong-hyun drew a long breath as he passed through the front gate of Hankuk University. It had been the same during Taming the Female Gangsters — if he truly screwed this up, he could get caught. Or killed. And that would mean failing the quest.
But this was only a D-rank quest. His pride would not allow him to start talking about failure this early.
Following Sun-woo's memories, he found his classroom and stepped inside.
He opened the door. A group of guys and girls were clustered at the back, snickering.
"Kk-kk-kk. Look at this. See how this bastard twitches when he cums?"
"Whoa... is jizz supposed to come out like that?"
They were watching the video of what Sun-woo had been put through yesterday. Even the girls who had not been there were giggling over the footage.
Then they saw Sun-woo walk in, and their expressions changed.
