Chapter Title: These Are All High-Quality Talents!
-------------------------------------
"Ahem, then let's forget it."
He hadn't had enough of the taste of an elf yet.
He didn't want the happy life that had just begun to be directly interrupted because of a little bit of his own curiosity.
Having such a beautiful and charming wife by his side but not being able to touch her for three or four years, wouldn't he be suffocated into a living eunuch with that?
Don't even mention going out to pick some wild flowers* or something.
Where else on the entire Blue Star could there be a flower more fragrant than this one right here?
There wasn't a single one, alright?
Thinking of this, Su Yi decisively changed the subject.
"By the way, those mixed-bloods of humans and elves who aren’t well-received in your world that you mentioned, do you think it's feasible to bring them over to Blue Star?"
"If I remember correctly, to trade living people to Blue Star, you need to use points to buy trading cards, right?"
Yue Ling was somewhat surprised.
"Didn't you say it? They’re beautiful, smart, and have very good talents. In such a group, there certainly wouldn't be a shortage of powerful and smart people, right?"
Su Yi asked in return.
"That's true. Although compared to the two major races of elves and humans, their power’s very insignificant, if we really look at it based on the average, the strength of these mixed-bloods definitely exceeds that of an equal number of elves and humans. And this is even the result of them lacking resources to fuel their growth.
The strongest person in this group that I know of is a mixed-blood named Star Weaver. Many years ago, her strength had already stepped into the ranks of legendary powerhouses. Just one step further, and she would become a Martial God.
She’s also a very famous wise person in our world.
If you can really successfully bring them all to Blue Star, you’ll definitely gain a batch of excellent assistants.
With them being excluded for a long time, the sudden appearance of someone like you who’s willing to accept them would probably make them deeply loyal to you. Coupled with the constraints of the trading platform… Moreover, this matter causes no loss to Vivi. Mixed-bloods are inherently a group that survives in the cracks between all races. It’s a force she can’t use. Giving them to you can even be exchanged for a batch of resources in her eyes.
What you need to do is think about how to obtain so many life trading permissions, as well as how to convince those few leading figures in the mixed-blood group."
Yue Ling analyzed it carefully and felt that this request Su Yi suddenly proposed was indeed feasible.
But no matter how one looked at it, it could only be a long-term plan. It would be very difficult to achieve in the short term.
After all, saying that this mixed-blood group was a minority in their world was only in comparison to large races like the elves and the humans.
Their actual number wasn’t small at all.
A conservative estimate would probably be in the millions.
Wanting to bring them all to Blue Star by relying on the Primary Life Trading Permission Card that cost 10 points each, Su Yi would have to save points until the Year of the Monkey and the Month of the Horse**.
To achieve this goal realistically, he either had to wait and see if new privileges would be unlocked after his member level increased in the future, or if the points mall would refresh with some special items with greater permissions besides those basic tools.
Otherwise, it was just an empty fantasy.
However, as a backup goal, it wasn’t bad.
The people on Blue Star all had their own hidden agendas, and it was hard for Su Yi to completely trust them.
But these visitors from another world were different.
It wasn't to say that they didn't have hidden agendas themselves. They definitely did.
But unlike the natives of Blue Star, these people had gone through the trading platform. Under the circumstance where the contract was written clearly in black and white, bound by the mighty power of the trading platform, Su Yi didn't have to worry at all about them having thoughts of betrayal.
As long as they didn't betray him, any other matter was easy to discuss.
......
Just after finishing lunch, Su Yi received a call from Zhou Yan.
He said that all the relevant procedures for Tianyu Holdings and Tianyu Farm had been prepared, and he asked if he wanted to pick an auspicious day to cut the ribbon and start work.
Su Yi didn't believe in this stuff. He directly stated that there was no time like the present, to keep everything simple, and to just start work directly today.
As a professional manager, Zhou Yan had worked for many big bosses before.
He was very clear about the obsessions those wealthy people had regarding metaphysics.
Let alone a major event like the opening of an entire group, even when some real estate developers started construction and broke ground, they had to make the scene look like some kind of religious ceremony.
Then, after the building's foundation was laid, they had to do it again, and when the building was topped off, they had to do it yet again.
If anything happened midway, they would continue to do it a few more times.
If asked, they would say that it was better to believe it existed than to believe it didn't.
He was almost used to it already.
He had a whole pile of contact information for various professional Taoist priests and monks on hand.
He didn't expect to meet a boss who didn't believe in this routine this time. It was quite rare.
Su Yi didn't care about all this. Even though he had truly come into contact with the extraordinary power of magic, he still didn't believe in those metaphysical superstitions.
He had once seen someone ask a question online. They asked that if a technological civilization and a cultivation civilization clashed head-on and went to war, which side would ultimately win?
There was one answer among them that left a deep impression on Su Yi, and he deeply agreed with it.
"If you think the other side is cultivating immortality, then you've definitely lost."
To put it bluntly, whether it was technology, cultivation, or magic…
In essence, it was just different ways of utilizing different energies.
Ultimately, they all had traces to follow.
If you truly believed that their cultivation had absolutely no scientific basis, relying entirely on metaphysics with no traces to follow at all, then what the hell was there to fight? Just surrender early.
So now, if someone came running to tell him that there were people cultivating immortality on Blue Star, he would believe it.
But as for those swindling monks and Taoist priests and the like, he didn't believe them in the slightest.
In Yue Ling and the others' world, the so-called Magic Gods and Martial Gods were, to put it bluntly, just powerful humans or other races.
They had nothing to do with those profoundly mysterious deities in myths and legends.
......
When Su Yi hurried to the farm, which had stopped work and rested for a few days due to consolidation, he saw that it had just resumed work under Zhou Yan's arrangements.
This season was exactly when some fruits and vegetables in the farm were being produced. After a few days without picking, many mature fruits and vegetables had grown too old or had simply ripened completely and fallen to the ground.
The loss wasn’t small, but to the current Su Yi, it could only be considered pocket change, so he didn't mind it too much.
After doing a round of inspection, Zhou Yan, whom he was meeting for the first time, respectfully invited him into the Chairman's office.
The time was too short, and there was no time to build a headquarters building or something. So the office place was still the plain office building of Yuanfeng Farm from before.
After entering, Zhou Yan handed Su Yi a list.
A layoff list.
The current Yuanfeng Farm was consolidated from several farms previously, and naturally, many departments within it were overlapping.
After consolidation, a lot of personnel redundancy appeared, and naturally, a batch had to be laid off. Zhou Yan had communicated this with Su Yi beforehand.
The layoff list was also entirely according to Su Yi's requests.
Those people with connections who were originally just coasting along in unimportant positions at the various farms, needless to say, were all laid off without exception.
Their connections were with the previous bosses and had nothing to do with Su Yi, so naturally, he wasn’t soft-hearted when laying them off.

*A Chinese idiom used as a euphemism for a man having extramarital affairs or seeking out other women when he’s away from his wife/partner.
**A classic Chinese idiom that means an unknown, indefinitely long time in the future, or essentially "never."
T/N - Yeah, I knew it. The MC, or rather, the author has the same thought process as me. Since there’s a marginalized group of talented people in the other world, if no one over there wants them, then just bring them to the MC’s world instead. Otherwise, it would be just a waste of talented people. Hopefully, the MC can get some sort of mass transport card from the platform.
Also, the MC is finally handling his farm. He probably won’t be able to plant his magical seed yet though considering his employees are all from Blue Star. But he could probably start with the magical cows. I mean, unless they look like actual monsters, who can tell if a cow’s a magical creature anyway?
