Chapter Title: The Second Transaction Completed
-------------------------------------
Among the magical creatures Yue Ling suggested he introduce, quite a few were edible.
If they were successfully bred on Blue Star, they would inevitably end up on the dining table in the future, becoming a type of high-end ingredient.
However, Su Yi had little interest in the restaurant business, mainly because the profit margin in that industry was only so much.
The true major source of profit for these items still lay in the medical field.
Compared to spending time and effort building a restaurant brand himself to sell these ingredients and make money, he might as well find a professional to do it for him and share with them a portion of the profits.
But with such a good business opportunity, naturally, he couldn't let outsiders take advantage of it.
As for whether Huang Lin's abilities were sufficient, that was secondary.
There was a saying that was very true: standing in the eye of a storm, even a pig can fly*.
Not to mention that this was a completely monopolized storm.
How he managed it wasn't important at all. What was important was whether those magical creatures really had the effects Yue Ling mentioned after arriving on Blue Star.
......
The night passed quietly. Early the next morning, Su Yi arrived at the food processing factory where he worked.
He had already told Li Wenyuan last night that he would come to receive the remaining batch of flour today.
This was the item agreed upon for his second transaction with Vivi. After all, dragging the time out for too long was inappropriate, so he planned to send this batch of flour over today along with the fruits, vegetables, and meat that were already in place yesterday.
Otherwise, he could completely ignore Li Wenyuan right now, directly resign from his position at the food processing factory, and run off.
After all, by tomorrow at the latest, his farm would complete all of its procedural processes, and by then, he could already openly and aboveboard acquire large amounts of grain in the name of the farm.
Compared to last time, this transaction went even more smoothly.
Su Yi acquired the one thousand tons of flour that the idiot Liu Sheng had purchased for reserves last month at a price two cents per kilogram higher than the current market price.
No unexpected situations occurred in the middle.
The transportation, just like before, was handled by the food processing factory's side.
By the time all of the one thousand tons of flour had been delivered to Su Yi's designated warehouse, it was already dusk.
This was a fairly large-scale granary, not far from Su Yi's farm. Because it was in the suburbs, its price wasn’t actually that expensive, so he directly bought the entire warehouse.
He also planned to upgrade and remodel it later, specifically adding a cold storage room then.
With the farm in hand, him doing these things was considered reasonable and logical.
And now that he had his own warehouse, he no longer had to worry that the inexplicable disappearance of the things inside the warehouses he rented would arouse others' suspicions.
After storing the grain into his dedicated storage space for transaction items, he went to the cold storage and another warehouse to bring all of the fruits, vegetables, and meat along.
Then Su Yi finally entered the trading platform once again.
Although they hadn't made an appointment in advance, Vivi came right when he called her.
Just a few minutes after Su Yi notified her through the trading platform that all of the goods were in place, she appeared in the trading space.
After transferring all of the items to her, the two transactions between the two parties were considered completely finished.
Because the trading platform only offered one free trade opportunity per week, and this was already the second transaction between the two this week…
As such, after the transaction was completed, 10 member points were directly deducted from each of them.
And after sending over this batch of fruits, vegetables, meat, and grain, Su Yi gained another 19 points.
Successfully completing one transaction rewarded him with 5 points, so two times was 10 points.
Plus the 8 points he obtained when he sent the rice over previously…
Su Yi now had quite a few member points.
-------------------------------------
[Su Yi]
[Identity: Registered Member of the Spacetime Trading Platform (Deduct 1000 points to upgrade to Senior Member and unlock more privileges)]
[Points: 27 points]
[Privileges/Special Items: Storage Space, Primary Life Trading Permission Card]
-------------------------------------
"An additional transaction deducts 10 points, that's enough to buy a World Language Mastery Card. So expensive! Next time, it's best to think about what to trade in advance and then hand over everything for the week all at once."
Looking at the 10 points he spent on the second transaction, and then looking at the good things in the system mall, Su Yi only felt a numbing sense of loss.
Vivi also deeply agreed with him.
This damn platform system actually ate from both ends. The points deducted for an additional transaction weren't deducted from just one party, but both parties had to deduct 10 points each from their own pockets. This was simply no different from robbery.
Although it was merely 10 points, there were truly quite a few good things that could be bought in the points mall.
Su Yi even saw that the complete set of nuclear fusion technology only sold for 3000 member points in the points mall.
Even if he couldn't afford it now, by matching with a few more trading partners and saving up for a few years, he would definitely have enough in the future.
When the time came to bring out this kind of good thing, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call him the “Light of Humanity”.
"What do you need next? Still food?"
With their previous transaction completed, it was naturally time for them to discuss their subsequent transactions.
So that they could prepare in advance.
"Of course, I need food long-term."
Vivi thought for a moment.
"If you can provide some weapons, preferably consumables like arrows, that would naturally be even better. If your world has any special weapons that ours doesn't have, I can also purchase a batch to test their effects.
"I can provide food, and I can provide even more next week, starting at least at three thousand tons. As for weapons, arrows are no problem, but for special weapons... We have them here too, but I'm afraid it won't be that easy for me to get them in the short term. I'll need a certain amount of time for that. As for the power of these weapons, you can rest assured. They’re useless against experts like you and Yue Ling, but when used against ordinary soldiers, their efficiency is no different from mowing grass."
What a joke, if he hadn't considered that the other party's side was a magical world…
Modern weapons brought to the cold weapon battlefields over there would be meat grinders, completely capable of a massacre.
Even if there was extraordinary power there, it was impossible for everyone to have Yue Ling's confidence to ignore individual hot weapons.
Hot weapons should still be effective over there.
"What about the remuneration? What do you want? Still gold?"
Vivi hurriedly asked.
Being able to stably provide food and weapons, having such a partner gave her a bit more confidence in the war she was currently facing.
"First, I need a magic formation that gathers magical energy. A small one will do. Yue Ling said that it shouldn't be hard for you to get this.
Second, I need seeds of some special magical plants, as well as a pair of adult magical beasts, the Giant Horned Cows, that have entered their breeding period. I need one male and one female, and it's best if the female’s already pregnant."
As he spoke, he took out a list which contained the varieties of magical plants Yue Ling had selected for him.
As for the Giant Horned Cow, that was naturally Yue Ling's suggestion too.
Previously, when Su Yi traded over so much rice, there were always some unhusked rice seeds mixed in them. Since that didn't count as living creatures, the seeds of magical plants probably wouldn't count either.
But animals like magical beasts absolutely counted as living creatures.
Trading them required a Life Trading Permission Card.
This meant that Su Yi couldn't directly introduce those magical beast cubs from another world in large batches to Blue Star.
So trading in one male and one female was, of course, for the convenience of subsequent breeding.
If the cow was already pregnant, that was equivalent to buying two and getting N for free, which was the highest cost-performance ratio.
As for why he decided on the magical beast known as the Giant Horned Cow, it was because it belonged to one of the most mature artificially bred magical beasts in their world. And despite being a cow, unlike the cows on Blue Star that gave birth to at most one or two calves per litter, a Giant Horned Cow could give birth to up to nine calves per litter, and could do so at least five or more times.
Moreover, their growth speed was extremely fast, and they had no special requirements for food. Eating ordinary grass was fine for them.
Their vitality was tenacious, their disease resistance was strong, and their ability to adapt to the environment was top-tier.
Their population was spread out to every corner of the other world.
Not only could it produce beef, but it could also produce milk. Both were rich in nutrients and contained special energy, offering endless benefits to humans upon long-term consumption.
Also, compared to the irritability of most magical beasts, the Giant Horned Cow was quite docile, with almost no aggressiveness.
If Su Yi was going to introduce one breed of magical beast to Blue Star, he would naturally choose the most suitable one.

T/N - Hey guys! I have a new novel I'm translating called "Fairy Tail: Starting by Capturing Fairy Queen Erza". It's a Chinese fanfiction about a guy who gets isekai'd as a baby into the Fairy Tail world with a cheat coming from his One Piece mobile game. The first person he meets is Irene before she meets Zeref, and through some shenanigans, he fed her the Human Fruit and Irene treats him as heaven's gift to her as a result. Check it out! Who knows, you might like it. ♥️
I’m liking how things are getting set up by the MC. He’s planning to raise magical plants and docile magical creatures in his farm, and he’s thinking ahead as to what to trade with Vivi as well as what he wants from her as well. While I really want him to trade for some magical techniques and whatnot, I do understand that what he’s doing right now is important to set up his foundation. He can trade for things like magic techniques and items later on when his business is already stable, ideally if he has more than one trading partner already.
