Lee Miho (2)
How should I even describe that appearance? Standing at the front of the class, the transfer student Lee Miho—I stared at her blankly, lost in thought.
The usual compliments like "she looks like a celebrity" would be an insult to that girl. I'd never seen a real celebrity in person, but one thing was certain: the face of this girl named Lee Miho possessed a beauty that went far beyond mere "pretty." A proverb slipped into my mind unbidden.
World-toppling beauty—a beauty that could bring down nations. Yeah, if I had to put a label on this transfer student's looks, that's what it was.
"Yeah, the transfer student's a total knockout, huh? Everyone's zoned out."
Not just me—the whole class was gaping at Miho. The teacher tapped his grade book on the podium to snap us out of it.
"Alright, today's new arrival is Lee Miho. Everyone got the name memorized? She won't know much around here, so help her out. And... your seat..."
The teacher glanced around, scanning for an empty spot. Then his eyes suddenly locked onto mine.
"Hmm...?"
That's when I realized the seat next to me was free. The teacher grinned like it was perfect and pointed right at me.
"Oh, perfect timing. Kang Hanjun, you transferred here last year too, right? Seat's empty—pair up with this lovely new girl and show her the ropes."
His declaration hit me like a sucker punch. I froze.
"M-me?"
I pointed at myself, double-checking. The teacher flashed a devilish smile and doubled down.
"That's right, you punk! What, pairing up with a cutie got you thanking me already?"
Not even a little, Teach. Sure, as a red-blooded guy, sitting next to a gorgeous girl sounded great in theory. But... I swallowed hard, feeling the stares piling on.
Having this unreal beauty plop down beside me, drawing every eye in the class? That was way too much pressure.
"Okay, Miho. See that guy over there? Kang Hanjun. Go sit by him and ask if you need help with anything."
The teacher finished, and Miho blinked cutely at me. I managed an awkward smile and wave. She smiled back with her eyes and sauntered over.
Drag.
She sat down gracefully, lightly, right next to me. Up close like this, her allure hit even harder. It wasn't just her looks—every gesture, even the faint scent brushing my nose, set my heart racing.
"Hey, Hanjun."
Miho called my name casually and greeted me. Instantly, a barrage of stares zeroed in. Bracing for a rough school life ahead, I greeted her back.
"Hey... yeah, hi."
And just like that, my unusual day began.
Break time after first period was hell, just as I'd feared. Every student in class swarmed our spot where Miho sat.
I tried to slip away, but they boxed me in—I was stuck frozen at my desk. Meanwhile, Miho smiled brightly at everyone chatting her up, handling the chaos with ease.
Noisy, kids bouncing between topics left and right, but she listened to most of them, chatting and making friends like it was nothing. Impressive social skills.
Then second period started. The teacher came in, kids scattered to seats. I dragged my exhausted self to pull my textbook from my bag, slow as molasses.
"Hey, Hanjun."
Miho called out. I turned, wondering what was up. She looked a bit troubled.
"First day, mixed up on the schedule... Mind if we share the textbook?"
"Sure, here."
Desks jammed together, I opened the book in the middle. To see better, Miho scooted her chair closer—her sweet scent grew stronger, teasing my nose.
"Hmm...?"
I fought my pounding heart, forcing my eyes on the page. Then Miho let out an intrigued hum and looked at me.
"Wh-what?"
I glanced over, puzzled. She pointed at my neck with a pale finger.
"Hanjun, what's that necklace?"
"Oh, this?"
I fiddled with the one around my neck.
"Gift from Grandma."
"Oh yeah?"
Her eyes sparkled with interest. She reached for it. Instinctively, I swatted her hand away.
"Ow."
Awkward tension hung between us. Miho's big brown eyes went wide—she clearly hadn't expected that.
"Sorry! It's just... this necklace means a lot. Kinda don't like others touching it..."
"No, no—my bad for grabbing without asking."
My heart dropped, but sweet Miho apologized instead, defusing the cringe vibe. I sighed in relief and turned to the teacher scribbling formulas on the board.
"Hmm...?"
But then another intrigued hum from Miho beside me. I felt her stare boring into me. Sheepishly turning with a what's up? she said nothing, hummed again, and kept staring.
"......"
Her intense gaze and little hums lasted straight through second period. Bizarre.
On the walk home with my one and only friend—bald, ripped, weathered-looking Kim Charyeok—I trudged along.
Charyeok's muscles bulged under his uniform as he grinned at me.
"Yo, Hanjun. Back there today? Sparks were flying. Bet the transfer's into you."
"...No way."
I denied it, but replaying Miho's actions till dismissal... doubts crept in.
Through second period, staring and humming at me. After, she kept talking to me—asked about school facilities at lunch, dragged me around, swapped numbers since we're desk mates, in case of questions. And those hums during class, glancing over... yeah, maybe she was interested.
"Heh heh... Hanjun. I had eyes for her too, but no way our bro-mance breaks over some chick. I'll back off."
"What kinda nonsense is that?"
I smacked his back hard. He didn't even flinch—flexed his lats happily instead.
"Mmm, prime muscle density as always. Hanjun, you gotta train with me. You'd bulk up fast..."
I blew off his gym pitch and ducked into my place, already there.
Home, quick shower, a few game rounds—clock hit evening.
"Oh, right."
Pondering dinner, I remembered science homework from sixth period. Rifled my bag for the textbook note... no science book.
"Damn."
Hit me—I'd shoved it under the desk, never grabbed it. Glanced out the window: sun dipping low. Last time I realized late, creeping into a dark school solo? Nightmare fuel—eerie halls, flashing red emergency lights. Shudder. I bolted out to snag it before dark.
"Huff, huff."
I'm pretty fast, school's close—made it before sunset. Legs tingling, I headed to our second-floor class.
"Huh?"
Mid-stairs, weird vibe—like passing through a thin membrane. Odd sensation, but shrugged it off, kept going.
Sunset pouring through hall windows, crimson-tinted corridor all to myself. Kinda poetic.
Drag.
Tipsy on the mood, I cracked open our classroom door. And saw it.
A girl's pristine white panties, fully exposed. No—more shocking:
"Uh... nngh?"
Three fluffy tails swishing. Triangular ears on her head. Fangs peeking from parted lips.
Before me stood a girl half-human, half-beast.
"Wh-what...? I... I set a barrier for sure..."
The flustered girl—first shocked by her inhuman form, but her face... I knew her. The transfer student from this morning. Miho.
Miho perched on an empty desk, bathed in sunset glow, arched her back cat-like, ass hiked high. That's why her panties flashed—those three tails lifted her skirt wide.
"Uh... uh..."
First brush with the inexplicable. No clue what to do, I just stared. Miho froze too, panties on full display.
"Eh... enough!"
Suddenly she leaped off the desk—straight at me.
She flew. Defied gravity, pounced right over.
Thud!
She snatched me as I entered, slammed me against the wall. Arms braced on either side, trapping me in her embrace. Staring me down, she barked:
"Qu-quick, look in my eyes!"
Wall-slam out of nowhere—what? I gawked, stammering. She shoved her face to mine, foreheads touching.
"Look in my eyes!"
Her face inches away, sweet breath hot on me. Reflexively, I did. Her brown eyes shifted—slowly turning red, slitting like a cat's.
"Wha... what?"
Mesmerized, I stared. She pulled back slowly, piercing gaze locked.
"D-did it... work?"
Tails swishing, she waved her hand in front of my face. No idea what she was doing, I stayed rigid.
She raised one hand, yelled:
"Raise your hand like me!"
Commanding again. No clue, but I complied, lifting one hand.
"Y-yes! Hypnosis worked!"
That's when I realized: she had it all wrong.
