Ambush at the Hidden Entrance
“Hunting solo, huh?”
“Ah, why him of all people.”
“Just ignore him and go.”
But one man's expression soured more than the rest.
It was the guy who'd guided them this far.
“What's wrong?”
“Nah, we have to pass through there no matter what.”
“So just go around.”
“A bit further up, there's a wooden plank on the ground. Right under it is the dungeon entrance. And that player's standing right on the line.”
“Stepping on the plank triggers a message, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Ah, fuck.”
“What do we do?”
“Let's wait it out for now.”
“What if that player steps on the plank?”
“Special dungeons allow up to 50 people anyway.”
“If he goes in first, we have to wait till he dies or clears it.”
“Oh, right.”
The female mage cut in.
“So, what's the plan? Hurry up.”
“Ah, I don't know. He might be from a big guild. Can't just murder him recklessly.”
The watching mage sighed.
“Haa, pathetic. Just wait.”
“And do what?”
“Just watch.”
The female mage stepped forward. She rode up beside the man on his mount and greeted him with a bright smile.
“Hi there?”
Mu-hyuk had already sensed the presence behind him.
Swoosh.
He turned his head, taking her in.
Deep into hunting territory, huh?
She had an ulterior motive. Plus, he'd felt quite a commotion from behind before she approached. He couldn't make out the words, but it was clear enough.
A bad feeling told him this would get annoying, so he didn't reply. Undeterred, she pressed on.
“Wanna join our guild?”
“Pardon?”
“We're pretty big. Saw you hunting solo—looks like you've got the levels for it.”
“No thanks.”
“Oh, you already have one.”
“Not that either.”
“I see.”
“Yeah.”
“Got it.”
The female mage turned back coolly.
Aha, got it.
He realized her game in an instant.
Skeleton Warhorse, unsummon.
He dismounted and strolled ahead leisurely.
At the same time.
The mage player returned to her group and spoke up.
“No guild.”
“That what you went to check?”
“Yeah, sword user.”
The four male players grinned wickedly.
“Knew it—she's the cruelest of us all.”
The mage furrowed her brow.
“Cut the bullshit. Now what?”
“What do you mean? No guild.”
“And solo.”
They nodded at each other.
“Kill him.”
No guild meant they could crush him with numbers, even if he was a top ranker. No one fought a guild alone—they'd bow eventually.
That was the rule in Illusion.
“Pretend to chat and close the distance first.”
“Got it. Then?”
“Obvious. Tell him to team up and shank him.”
The two who'd schemed took the lead.
Thud.
They sped up, closing in on Mu-hyuk.
“Why'd he dismount?”
“Who cares.”
They were upon him.
“Hey, excuse me.”
Mu-hyuk turned.
“What is it?”
“Ah, we're with that mage from before. Actually, this guy here...”
The two locked eyes and signaled.
Flash.
They drew swords and swung in unison.
The sensation was off—nothing like expected.
“Hngh...!”
Mu-hyuk had blocked with his shield.
*
A smile crept across his lips.
Hostility established with user ‘Gerichoff’.
Hostility established with ‘GoodJob’ party that user ‘Gerichoff’ belongs to.
Right of self-defense established.
Attacked first—self-defense confirmed.
50% chance of item drops on kills.
How could he not feel good?
“Skeleton Warrior Summon.”
Eighteen skeletons encircled the two melee users trying to back off.
“What the—Necromancer?!”
Everyone knew necromancer weaknesses.
Frail HP and defense.
“Ignore the skeletons—target him!”
As Gerichoff yelled back, the archer loosed an arrow.
Swoosh.
Mu-hyuk slipped behind Enhanced Bone 1.
Clang!
Enhanced Bone 1 blocked the arrow with its shield. Mu-hyuk spoke slowly.
“Skeleton Archer Summon.”
Nine archers after the warriors.
Then magic flew in.
Boom!
All Enhanced Bones crouched, shields up. They blocked well—minimal damage. The skeleton archers and Mu-hyuk, behind them, were unscathed.
Mu-hyuk continued summoning.
“Skeleton Mage Summon.”
Six mages appeared.
Thirty-three skeletons in a flash.
“Sh, shit. What the hell?”
“Insane...!”
Mu-hyuk commanded.
All units, attack.
Bone arrows filled the sky.
Pop!
Six elemental magics erupted powerfully.
Boom!
The spectacle froze the hostiles. Most shocking: the two melee users melted under skeleton attacks in seconds.
“Skeletons doing that...?!”
Die that fast to skeletons? Unbelievable—but real, right before their eyes.
Only one choice.
“R, run!”
But Mu-hyuk wouldn't let them.
Strongbow, Bone Bow rapid fire.
Bone arrows rained. Mu-hyuk kicked off the ground too.
Wind Step. Storm.
Just archer, priest, mage. Only the archer could react to his speed. And only one could dodge the bone arrows.
As expected.
Thud.
Bone arrows pierced the mage and priest's backs. The archer sidestepped with footwork.
“Hngh!”
Suddenly, the archer twisted and released his bowstring.
An arrow sliced through the wind toward Mu-hyuk's face. No dodge, and it'd hit.
Impressed by the accuracy, he veered.
Transform, transform.
Sword to staff, then skill.
Blessing of the Dead
Purple light enveloped the archer.
“Heal me!”
Before the priest could cast, Mu-hyuk flanked him. Staff to sword, he slashed wildly.
Priest blocked desperately with shield, but Mu-hyuk circled, targeting gaps.
Low-HP class couldn't tank it long. He died soon after.
Drop.
Something fell.
Swoosh.
Mu-hyuk pocketed it quick, then chased the mage.
“Flame Fist!”
A fist crashed from the sky onto him.
Thud!
Too wide to evade.
“G, got him!”
Dust settled, crater revealed.
No trace inside.
“He's dead!”
“What? For real?”
“Yeah, necromancers have low HP!”
“Whew, lucky.”
Mage and archer grouped up.
“Skeletons should've vanished too...”
They turned—and scowled.
Skeletons remained.
What?
The question hit as—
Burst!
Mage's neck exploded.
-740 Damage
-1,380 Additional Damage
Special Status: Excessive Bleeding applied
Over 2,000 HP gone in a blink.
Mage flailed in panic. Mu-hyuk struck twice more. She perished pathetically.
Swoosh.
He eyed the last, the archer.
“H, how...?”
Set effect stealth—faked death. No need to tell enemies.
But why attack? He had a hunch, tested it.
“Dungeon?”
Archer's face hardened.
“Bingo.”
Time to finish.
Flash.
He charged.
Archers were easy once closed in.
“Gah, you bastard!”
“That's my line.”
Slashed to end it.
“Next time I see you...”
Even vanishing, still yapping. They'd started it.
“Scram.”
Sword swing erased the afterimage.
Drop.
Picked up archer's item.

Sell it.
Auction house, 72 hours. Starting bid 50 gold.
Now to find the dungeon these five attacked over.
Sudden assault meant nearby.
Unsummoned skeletons, resumed path, scanned carefully. Felt oddity on ground—looked down.
Brush.
Toed leaves aside: wooden plank.
Special dungeon discovered.
Small smile.
Here it was.
Lifted plank: stairs down. Descended cautiously to a narrow passage ending in a door.
Thud.
Pushed it.
Entry level (80) exceeded.
Level 80 special dungeon.
Hmm.
Couldn't enter due to level, but profit without entry.
Video recording.
Started recording, panned around slowly, exited.
Stopped, replayed. Confirmed dungeon, location hidden.
Sell video for gold or cash.
Also that level 30 normal dungeon vid from before.
But verify dungeon existence first.

Quest first.

Nine more needed.
Grrr.
Triple Wolf appeared right on cue.
*
With 100 Triple Wolf hearts, Mu-hyuk rode Skeleton Warhorse back to Weibra Empire mercenary guild, completed promotion.
Skimmed requests.
“Show only B-rank requests.”
“Understood.”
Fewer than expected, but clearly tougher. Rewards scaled up.
One caught his eye.
Find the Dungeon!
📍 Find a dungeon level 75+.
🎁 Reward: 1,000 gold
Player request, obvious.
1,000 gold?
Planned to sell anyway, but too low.
Special dungeon—still a shame, but 1k? Pass. 2k+, maybe. Scanned others.
Hmm.
Nothing fitting yet.
“Not many requests.”
“Ah, sorry. We only take select ones since few B-rank users. But B-ranks surged lately—good ones next week.”
“I see.”
Translation: none now.
Sell dungeon info first.
Decided, left guild.
“Skeleton Warhorse Summon.”
Mounted up, headed to Dark Tiger habitat.
