She Is Bound to the Inventory
The ability to store anything I wanted inside the bag that existed in my mind. At first it was just a convenient trick, a private space no one else could touch. But then she settled there, curling up in the one place I thought would always belong to me alone.
I never asked for this. I never meant to bind anyone to my Inventory, least of all her. Yet the moment she slipped inside, the rules changed. The walls of that mental space began to feel less like storage and more like a home. A dangerous, impossible home.
Now the dungeons that swallowed the world twenty years ago seem almost ordinary compared to what’s happening inside my own head. Every time I reach for a weapon or a potion, I feel her presence instead—warm, stubborn, and far too close. She says she’s trapped. I’m starting to think I might be the one who can’t let go.
This is the story of how a power I relied on for survival became the chain that tied two broken people together. And how, in a world full of monsters and betrayal, the hardest thing to protect turned out to be the heart I’d hidden inside an Inventory no one was ever supposed to enter.
