What Dreams Do Heroes Have? (2)
What Dreams Do Heroes Have? (2)
The Female Lieutenant explained our future routine again. Yun Seol-ha and I would train for eight hours daily using the Virtual Training Device. Two hours would be combat training, and six hours would be physical modification to prepare for dealing with Oist mercenaries.
"It's the Special Forces' duty to satisfy the Oist mercenaries' appetites and sexual desires. Through physical modification, you'll become easily aroused by minor stimuli, and the more aroused you are, the more breast milk you'll produce."
I glanced at Yun Seol-ha's reaction. Her unwavering gaze showed she'd prepared herself for this. The Female Lieutenant smiled proudly at our composure.
"Your dedication will bring glory to the Honor of Brothers."
Seeing her sparkling innocent eyes, mischief stirred in me. I grabbed her prominently protruding augmented breasts beneath her uniform with both hands.
"Lieutenant-nim has such magnificent ones too. Why don't you join us?"
"Ah! I-I...!"
The Lieutenant stammered, unable to escape my grasp as her face flushed crimson. Her reaction fueled my sadistic urges, but pushing further wouldn't be wise.
"Hah! Just kidding. Please focus on training cadets at the boot camp, Lieutenant-nim."
When I released her breasts, she hastily retreated from me.
"Y-you mustn't lay hands on a superior officer's body!"
"Yes, apologies. Your breasts were so beautiful I couldn't help teasing. I'll be careful."
She glared warily at me before resuming her official tone.
"Even as Special Forces volunteers, repeat this behavior and you'll be immediately discharged."
The Lieutenant shot me a sharp look before continuing our orientation.
"Special Forces trainees undergoing sensitivity development often get gang-raped and impregnated by regular trainees. Special Forces trainees are prohibited from contacting regular trainees."
This made sense - men confined together would pounce if a horny woman emitting the scent of breast milk appeared.
"You won't leave your rooms for the next month. You must train and develop your bodies using the Virtual Reality Devices installed in each room."
Her next words were horrifying.
"While using the Virtual Reality Device, nutrients will be directly injected into your bloodstream through installed tubes, so meals are unnecessary."
"No food...?"
Ugh, was I some ICU patient needing tube feeding?
Noticing my devastated expression, the Lieutenant smiled and pointed to a massive refrigerator in the corner.
"There's enough fresh food to last well beyond a month. No need to worry."
Phew... Scared me. Should've mentioned that first.
After finishing miscellaneous explanations, the Lieutenant left with Yun Seol-ha.
Clank! The door locked from outside. A timer above it displayed 29 days 23 hours 59 minutes.
"This is worse than closed-door training..."
In martial arts novels, people emerged from such training as peerless masters. Though only a month, using that device's time perception adjustment might yield extraordinary results.
The studio apartment spanned over 30 pyeong (99㎡), equipped with TV, game console, library, and exercise equipment - enough to avoid boredom for a month.
"Let's check this first."
I opened the Virtual Training Device's cover. Beneath plush cushions hid grotesque equipment - syringes with suspicious fluids, milking machines, various-sized dildos.
Imagining Yun Seol-ha being tormented by these filled me with concern.
"Can Seol-ha endure this?"
Since she resembled my past life's first love, I couldn't bear seeing her suffer. But she had no choice - quitting Special Forces training meant exile to deadly outer zones.
No alternatives existed. I could only pray she completed training safely. Best focus on my own situation.
"You can hack this, right?"
[Current device cannot be hacked.]
"Damn it, why not~!!"
Bam!!
I kicked the device angrily. A harder kick might've shattered it.
Screw physical modification.
Thanks to that bastard X, I already lactate. Skipping training shouldn't hinder Special Forces duties.
[Device-linked skill detected.]
"Meaning?"
[Link Forgotten Space skill to device?]
"Forgotten Space?"
Checking my skills, I saw what X mentioned.
"Ah... this."
I remembered fighting Sras hordes. After socketing a gem from their warehouse into X, I gained Inventory and the passive skill Forgotten Space.
The skill description remained in unreadable characters.
"What's Forgotten Space's effect?"
[Function unidentifiable.]
"You want me to use something even you don't understand?"
X stayed silent, having no retort. Probably mentioned it simply because a linkable skill existed.
"Hey, just do it. Better than six daily hours of physical modification."
Closing the Virtual Reality Device's cover, a Pshhh- sound preceded mental haziness. Probably sleep gas. Through fading consciousness, X's voice echoed.
[Linking Forgotten Space to device.]
Regaining awareness, I stood in pure white space. Psychosis-inducing emptiness.
"Where is this?"
[Forgotten Space personal training area. Device linkage added time acceleration and summoning functions. Functions manifest per your thoughts.]
"Oho~, in that case..."
Imagining combat gear, I instantly wore a battlesuit. Being virtual reality without wearing X, this suit naturally didn't engage in milking nonsense.
"Amazing! Now summon practice dummies."
I summoned an ogre horde. Over thirty ogres looked around bewildered before spotting and roaring at me.
"Groooaaar-!!!!!"
As if coordinated, they charged simultaneously with giant clubs.
"No! Too many!!"
Wishing fewer, most front ogres vanished instantly. The remainder froze, staring fearfully.
"Kukuku, I really control everything."
Drawing my battlesuit's sword, I charged. Hesitant ogres scattered after seeing one's head easily severed.
"Don't run."
Instantly, they halted and resumed charging angrily. I could apparently control summoned creatures' behavior.
Ogres proved trivial opponents. Summoning more, I slaughtered them all within thirty minutes.
"Should I summon Deathworms...?"
Colossal Deathworms remained overwhelmingly powerful. Only winnable by entering their ears to destroy brains like before.
After killing three, messages showed Strength and Stamina increasing by 3. Clear growth, but disgustingly laborious.
"Time to use that."
Perfect situation for the Macro Skill from my Special Forces enlistment quest. Test-running one Deathworm hunt macro:
[Completed 3 Macro Hunts]
[Strength +2]
[Stamina +2]
"Huh?"
Pressing execute instantly completed hunts. Real-world time showed one hour passed. Consciousness apparently vanishes during macros.
"Could skyrocket stats this way!"
Contrary to expectations, growth slowed as stats rose - initially one Deathworm per stat point, later requiring ten.
Device limitations? Raising significant stats seemed harder than expected.
"Ah."
Focusing on macros made me recall the time perception adjustment function.
"Try this too?"
Pshh-eek-! Mental clarity burst forth. Blinding light overwhelmed my vision.
"Ambition is good, but don't overexert yourself on day one."
As eyes adjusted, the Female Military Lieutenant's worried face appeared. She'd forcibly terminated the Virtual Training Device.
Hmph, interrupting my focus? Should I just fuck her senseless?
