The Unification War Begins: Gold Sun Marking Territory on Every Conquered Tribe♥
The Gaia Tribe leadership convened for a meeting to discuss the full-scale unification war. Great Mother Sophia was utterly shocked by Geum Taeyang’s declaration.
Geum Taeyang announced he would not mobilize the Gaia Shield, the tribe’s army, for the conquest campaign.
“With the current balance of power, my speed and that of a few elite companions will be more than enough. Bringing the Gaia Shield would only lead to unnecessary casualties. This war will be over in a flash—two weeks at most.”
Geum Taeyang spoke with complete calm. Sophia, however, could only stare in disbelief. The force he proposed consisted of just five people, including the chieftain himself. Five warriors were meant to unify the ninety-thousand-strong Mohican tribes.
“Above all, I want to leave a lasting impression. Not merely as a conqueror, but as a hero. Like the divine messengers of the goddess in Mohican myth.”
Geum Taeyang had no intention of prolonging the conflict. He knew the final crisis facing the Mohicans was fast approaching. He also wanted to be hailed not as a mere conqueror but as a hero, so that the tribes could be stitched back together swiftly once the fighting ended.
“But still…” Sophia understood his reasoning, yet as the woman who loved him she could not help worrying. Even Conan Barbara in his prime had never dared challenge a major tribe with so few men. Geum Taeyang’s audacity far exceeded that.
“Great Mother, please trust me and the chieftain. We are confident.”
“Mmm… If even the deputy chieftain is so certain…”
At her side, her daughter and the tribe’s deputy chieftain Athena voiced her own unwavering confidence. Ever since inheriting her father Conan Barbara’s Paewangchammado, Athena’s morale had soared to the heavens.
“Children of the Gaia Tribe, behold! These five warriors are not simple conquerors—they are heroes chosen by the Goddess Gaia herself!”
Four days later, the departure ceremony was held. Geum Taeyang and his four companions stood upon the Gaia altar while High Priest Gandalf addressed the gathered tribespeople with fiery passion.
The first companion chosen to accompany Geum Taeyang was, of course, Deputy Chieftain Athena. The remaining three were relatives from Sophia’s side of the family—her youngest twin siblings and her elder brother. The twins were Alex and Alexis, and the third warrior was named Maximus. Geum Taeyang had asked Sophia to recommend capable and trustworthy kin, and she had brought exactly the right three.
Gaia Shield Commander Darius was an excellent man as well, but Geum Taeyang intended to leave him behind to protect the village in case of emergencies.
“As you all know, the black star has twinkled! A crisis looms over the Mohican people! These five heroes will unite the Mohicans and save us from that peril! Let every son and daughter of the Gaia Tribe pray for their victory!!”
It was a fabrication, yet in a savage society such grand myths were essential. The people needed a noble cause to rally behind. Telling them the truth—that they were invading Memphis—would only sow confusion. Superstition was far more effective.
“The Goddess Gaia’s choice, and your recognition, have brought me to stand here.”
Once Gandalf’s rousing ritual ended, Gaia Tribe Chieftain Geum Taeyang stepped to the very front of the altar.
“When Chieftain Geum Taeyang returns to the Gaia Tribe after this departure ceremony, he will have united the Mohican people and become their Great Khan.”
He formally declared his intent to claim the title of Great Khan. Then he raised the demonic sword Luciena high.
“Great Khan! Great Khan! Great Khan! Great Khan!”
The Gaia tribespeople erupted in thunderous cheers.
‘The reason I’m not bringing an army is simple—when the force is this small, there’s no need for a formal declaration of war.’
Geum Taeyang and his companions set out immediately for the conquest. Their first target was, naturally, the Bacara Tribe.
In barbarian society, tribes normally issued declarations of war before fighting. There was, however, one exception: when the invading force numbered six or fewer. With an army, formal declarations were required, but a handful of warriors charging in was considered a heroic act and freed them from such formalities. That was why Geum Taeyang was heading straight for the Bacara village without any warning.
“Our plan is simple. The twin brothers-in-law will guard the flanks with their shields while Maximus and Athena protect them. I’ll handle everything else. Once the battle is nearly over, the rest of you can join me in finishing off the survivors.”
The Bacara village finally came into view in the distance. Yet the Bacara had already fortified their position heavily, even without a formal declaration. They had correctly read Geum Taeyang’s aggressive nature and prepared in advance.
Geum Taeyang halted his group just outside bow range and issued final orders. In essence, he was telling them to stay alive while he ended the fight alone.
“Is that truly enough, Chieftain?”
The twins and Maximus, each possessing B-rank combat strength, looked visibly tense. They had only heard stories of Geum Taeyang defeating Conan. They were good-natured youths who simply obeyed their elder sister Sophia’s words and joined without complaint. Yet the man who looked like a god of war was, in truth, pure reckless bravado.
“More than enough. Just trust me.”
After all, when the strongest warrior who had defeated Conan Barbara gave an order, there was no room for argument.
“I’ll show you a miracle.”
—Fwoooosh!
Swish…!!
Geum Taeyang charged toward the Bacara defenses and simultaneously summoned the absolute demonic sword Luciena.
‘That man… That’s the man who defeated Conan Barbara—Geum Taeyang!!’
His words soon became reality. The twins and Maximus could only watch in stunned horror.
—KABOOOOOM!!
“—Gwaaaah!”
“—Uwaaaah! Enemies!!”
‘He shattered that thick Galatea wooden wall in a single strike!’
Geum Taeyang had smashed through the sturdy Bacara defensive line with one swing of Luciena.
“Enemies have invaded!”
“Gaia Tribe forces are attacking with a small unit!!”
Once the wall fell, the sentries sounded the alarm. Although they did not recognize Geum Taeyang’s face, they knew Athena well and immediately identified the invaders.
“—Gwaaaah!”
“—Uwaaaah!!”
The Bacara warriors tried to form a second defensive line in orderly fashion, but each swing of Geum Taeyang’s sword cut them down like autumn leaves. Most were only D+ rank at best.
“They were well prepared.”
Grin…!
Thus Geum Taeyang and his companions entered the Bacara village. Upon seeing the scene before him, Geum Taeyang’s lips curled in a strange smile.
“You lost your nerve after killing one old chieftain, didn’t you? Today this place becomes your grave, you incestuous piece of trash.”
Because they had built proper fortifications, the Bacara were already on high alert. The moment they realized the invaders were Geum Taeyang’s party, Chieftain Venom Barbara led out the entire Red Wolf army—hundreds of warriors moving as one.
“So you brought those flashy foreign weapons just to kill that old chieftain, Venom Barbara. You should be ashamed.”
Snicker!
Standing fifty meters away, Geum Taeyang sneered. The Red Wolves were armed with Memphis longspears, all aimed at him. Behind them stood rows of archers. True barbarian combat prized close quarters, yet Venom Barbara had tried to slay Conan using mid- and long-range weapons.
“Maintain formation. I’ll handle these troops myself.”
Step, step, step.
Hundreds of longspear tips and countless arrowheads gleamed, yet Geum Taeyang strode forward without hesitation, issuing charismatic commands to his companions behind him.
“Attack! I will rip that arrogant young traitor’s heart from his chest and offer his head upon the Red-Eye Altar! That will serve as Conan’s replacement!”
Venom Barbara gave the order for a full assault.
“Kill them!!!”
—Thudududududu!!
At Venom Barbara’s command, hundreds of Red Wolf warriors surged toward Geum Taeyang and his group like a flood.
“Hah! Let’s make this look impressive, Luciena.”
They looked like beasts armed with newfangled weapons. Yet Geum Taeyang was thoroughly satisfied. The overpowered Gold Sun had no intention of taking risks. He possessed an ultimate technique that guaranteed overwhelming victory.
—Fssssssssst!
“Blade Storm!”
It was the absolute demonic sword Luciena’s wide-area damage skill, Blade Storm. Luciena, who hated watching her master die no matter how arrogant she was, had unsealed one area-of-effect technique for situations where Geum Taeyang faced multiple mediocre opponents. This skill specialized in slaughtering mobs. Trusting in it, Geum Taeyang had boldly claimed he would unify the Mohicans with a tiny unit.
Geum Taeyang poured his signature purple mana into Luciena.
—Bwoooosh!
He swung the blade toward the charging Red Wolves.
—Papapapapap!
The Blade Storm unleashed a brilliant purple sword light that tore forward with tremendous force.
—Puhpuhpuhpuh!
“—Gwaaaah!”
“—Uwoooooorgh!!”
Dozens of Red Wolves were cut down in a single Blade Storm.
“!!!!!!”
Venom Barbara’s eyes widened in horror.
“!!!!”
“!!!!”
Even Geum Taeyang’s companions were stunned.
—Chwaaaak!
—Chuaaak!!
“Keep coming at me like proper barbarians! I’ll slaughter every last one of you!”
Again and again—second, third, fourth time—Geum Taeyang unleashed Blade Storm without pause. With every flash of purple light, the number of Red Wolves dwindled exponentially.
“Arrows! Fire the arrows!”
Venom Barbara belatedly ordered an arrow volley, but—
—Puhpuhpuh!
Two more Blade Storms shredded the arrows in midair.
‘Goddess’s guardian deity…! Taeyang is the Goddess Gaia’s guardian deity!’
Even Athena, who knew Geum Taeyang’s abilities best and trusted him unconditionally, was left speechless by the overwhelming display. The words “Goddess’s guardian deity” slipped from her lips like a prayer. In Mohican myth, the guardian deity was the first emperor of the Mohican people.
“Th-this can’t be…!”
Thud!!
In barely twenty minutes the entire Red Wolf force had been annihilated. The few survivors were too gravely wounded to continue fighting. Venom Barbara collapsed to his knees with a hollow expression.
“I’ll acknowledge your administrative talent in raising the tribe. But as a warrior, you clearly produced a son unworthy of his father. That unworthy son nearly destroyed the entire Mohican race.”
Geum Taeyang, completely unscathed despite facing hundreds of warriors, walked up and stood before Venom Barbara.
“There is no mercy for you who broke the unwritten laws of the Mohicans. Your wife and grown children will all be beheaded as well.”
Shhhk…!
Geum Taeyang pointed Luciena’s blade at Venom Barbara’s heart with cold eyes. By ignoring the sacred warrior’s duel, Venom Barbara had doomed the direct bloodline of the great warrior Red-Eye to vanish from history.
Stab!
Geum Taeyang’s Luciena pierced Venom Barbara’s heart.
“Was I that cool? Is that why you’re this wet, Athena? Huh? Is that it?”
“Hnnng! Haah! Hnnngh! Heuheung! The greatest male! Hnnng! I love you so much, my man! Hnnng!”
Squelch! Squelch! Squelch! Squelch! Squelch! Squelch! Squelch!
After slaughtering Venom Barbara’s entire family and close relatives within the tribe as promised, Geum Taeyang vigorously claimed Athena inside the central Bacara tent. This, too, was a territorial marking.
“I told you I’d show you a new world! That I’d protect you and the Great Mother! Do you feel it now?”
Squelch! Squelch! Squelch! Squelch! Squelch! Squelch!
“It’s carved into my heart! My bones! My very soul! Haaah! Now carve it into my womb too! T-heuheung! Heeeeng!”
Bounce! Bounce! Shake! Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!

Geum Taeyang had been steeped in bloodlust after personally slaughtering the Bacara family. This territorial marking also served to ease that violent tension. Athena, who understood this perfectly, threw herself into the act like a beast, doing her utmost to relieve the psychological stress her husband carried. It was the duty of a barbarian female to serve her mate.
“I’m cumming!!”
Glurgh! —Fwoosh! Fwoosh! Fwoosh! Fwoosh! ♥♥♥
Geum Taeyang poured thick, hot seed deep into Athena’s womb.
“Kiiiaaah!”
Fwoosh! Fwoosh! Fwoosh! ♥♥♥
Athena climaxed simultaneously, her body spraying like a fountain.
“Three of the tribes that allied with Bacara have surrendered to us. They can be punished appropriately, Geum Taeyang Chieftain.”
“Understood. The other two tribes, however, must be crushed even more thoroughly than Bacara.”
Geum Taeyang’s party remained in the Bacara village for three days—both to restore discipline and to gauge the other tribes’ reactions. As a result, Geum Taeyang’s overwhelming display made the conquest far simpler.
“Those who violate the spirit of the Mohicans, and especially those who leech off such traitors, deserve harsher punishment. That is my philosophy.”
“—Gwaaaah!”
Geum Taeyang swiftly crushed the remaining two tribes that still resisted. Their chieftains were executed, and their immediate families were slaughtered. The three tribes that had belatedly switched sides were punished by having the chieftain’s right arm, left arm, and one eye taken respectively.
“I declare! All Mohican tribes are now united beneath the sword of this Great Khan, Geum Taeyang!”
After eliminating every enemy, Geum Taeyang raised Luciena high and proclaimed himself the Great Khan who ruled over the unified Mohicans.
