Anyway, the author is a rock mage.
Lately tons of newbies getting into magic after seeing Judak's spells, so writing a summary post.
1. Staff Differences
Staffs are mainly divided into natural and artificial.
The usual damage mages (fire, water, wind, rock) types use natural staffs.
Why?
They pack more punch.
Common opinion is it works better because it's pure mana from nature.
They branch further into subtypes, anyway.
On the flip side, support mages (and assorted others) use artificial staffs.
Why?
Who the fuck knows.
Truth is, no clue about support magic.
Doing support magic? = I'm gonna suck off my parents' spines my whole life.
In my view, no difference between the two.
