Survival is guaranteed. Even if you meet death, it won't be the end. You'll return to your original world without a single scratch. Your goal is singular: secure the glowing irregular polyhedron hidden somewhere in this world. It is a mysterious relic said to summon an evil entity, while also granting infinite wisdom. Though activating it does come with... a slight sacrifice. You have plenty of opportunities and time. Forgetting the goal and simply gathering good experiences is also a perfectly valid way to enjoy another world. No need to achieve it. Don't feel burdened. Regarding the Stage ①

Logging the first record. This is an unfamiliar civilization. The buildings are different in form, and there's a massive disparity in atmospheric mana density. It's practically mana-depleted. Upon arriving at these dimensional coordinates and opening my eyes, I found myself in a dingy back alley. Piles of trash stuffed into bags made of some odd material. I sliced open a bag with my knife to inspect the contents: what seemed to be peels from unknown produce, cylindrical metal objects, toilet paper or newspapers, a dead cat carcass, shattered human bone fragments. Nothing else noteworthy. I proceeded cautiously, alert for first contact with other lifeforms. If it's a civilization hostile to outsiders like the spirit realm, gauge threat level through combat. If below Imperial Defense Bureau hazard level 3, continue exploration. Level 3: temporary withdrawal. Level 2: full retreat. After about five minutes on foot, I exited the back alley. The buildings here are incredibly tall. Roads are vast and wide, paved impeccably with a black substance. Spotted horseless carriages. They resemble unmanned carriages occasionally used by wealthy merchants or mages back home, but here they're in widespread use—numbers everywhere. Confirmed other lifeforms. Appear to be humans. Couldn't verify anatomical similarities, but they share all common human traits: two arms, two legs, divided into male and female, five fingers per hand. Ears are roundish too. A grayish tone dominates the city overall. People's expressions are dour; nutrition seems decent, but their eyes lack vitality. Possible oppression by a tyrant. Fortunately, local attire resembles that of the imperial capital: suits, silk hats, dresses, various cloth garments. As long as it's not too thin or skimpy, I can blend in naturally. Academy uniforms should work too. Aside from guards (they call them police), most don't carry weapons. Unsure if due to good public order or legal prohibition. Needs further verification. My guess: not baseless rumors. During scouting, spotted bizarre stamp on building exterior. Further checks found three more similar marks. Will update on meaning or function once intel arrives.

Like pairing a goddess emblem with a wild dog's tongue. He grinned creepily and spoke in feigned gentleness. "What business brings you wandering in search of graffiti?" "Environmental beautification. Confirmed their god's name induces mass hypnosis. Fine with strong mental barriers, but avoid if mentally vulnerable.
